Christmas Tablescape – Holiday Entertaining Tour!

Happy Friday friends! What a week! I have been so busy with my kids’ activities and trying to wrap up Christmas decorating and get pictures of everything. I’m more than ready for a weekend! Before we get this party started I just have to say that it was so fun hearing from so many of you for my planner giveaway (still one last day to enter!). I loved hearing a little about some of you and seeing where you are all from. ALL over! It’s just so cool. We all live so far apart but are connected in our love for decor or organizing or fashion or family.. whatever you come to my blog for! We’re connected and I love that. It’s a small world after all. (I’ve been to Disneyland this month.. can you tell?). :)

My new planner and a fun giveaway!

{**THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED**}
Truth. My office does not look like this right now. Currently it is half way decorated for Christmas and full of piles of mail/papers I need to sort through, presents that are half way wrapped and projects that are half way finished. It will be a Christmas miracle if I can get it cleaned up again in time to share my Christmas decor in this room with you all!

But that’s a story for another day. :) Today I’m so excited to be sharing a favorite shop with you and more details on my new planner I recently shared in my Favorite Things post that I’m so excited about! I blog in two places.. my couch in the evening and at this spot in my office during the day. I cleaned things up for these pictures the last time I took them, but usually I have two things out on this desk. My laptop and my planner. I use my iphone to keep track of our crazy daily schedule, but I LOVE having a traditional paper planner with me at all times to keep track of my blog schedule, daily to-do’s, notes, etc.

Christmas signs and Cyber sales

It’s about that time friends. Time for FUN mail. Isn’t getting the mail in December the best!? Whether it’s Christmas decor I’ve ordered for our home, gifts being delivered that I’ve ordered for others on-line, or Christmas cards from loved ones, I can hardly wait for the mail to arrive this time of year. You all know how I feel about wooden signs. Aside from loving the look/style of them, I think they are such a fun way to personalize your home. Plus I love supporting small businesses! Here is a peak at my office decor (oh yes.. we are decking ALL the halls around here this year). :) My Rudolph sign came in the mail and I’m so excited about it! I fell in love with this sign the second I found it on etsy. It’s from a shop called This Hand Painted Home. I reached out to Taylor about this sign and she is an absolute sweetheart. She has so many fun Christmas signs in her shop! I wasn’t sure where this would go when I ordered it, I just knew I had to find a spot for it somewhere. It looked so cute and festive everywhere I put it, but this spot in my office won. It just makes me smile every time I walk in this room! Plus it was a big hit with my kids. Huge Rudolph fans around here. :)

2016 FAVORITE THINGS! (Gift Ideas for everyone on your list!)

Happy Thanksgiving friends! We made it over the river and through the woods. I’m always relaxed at my mom’s house! Plus we all know I’m a much better assistant than head chef when it comes to Thanksgiving. ;) I’m so excited to be sharing a post I get excited about every year.. my annual FAVORITE THINGS post! For those of you who are newish to my blog (hi and welcome!), every November I share a round-up of my very favorite things from the year and then later follow it up with favorites from a friend’s annual Favorite Things Party. My friend decided that this year just to mix things up she is going to have her party in the Spring, so those favorites will be coming later. But don’t fret, I’ve got lots of fun favorites for you this year. It was hard to choose my top picks, but I think I’ve done it! These are truly the things I love most of all. Friday Fashion/Favorites (on a Sunday.. again) :)

Happy weekend everyone! I hope yours is going well! My kids get the whole week off of school for Thanksgiving and I honestly look forward to this week all year. Thanksgiving and Christmas prep are the best! I shared this picture on IG last week when our tree went up. We were all fanning out the branches on the tree when one of my kids decided to turn on “Yes Virginia There Is a Santa Claus” and there went my help. Ha! I have to admit, I love that movie too so we all took a mini break from the decorating. :)

Then back to our Christmas music and we picked up where we left off!

My favorite kids’ clothes and toys from Nordstrom!

I embrace and love things in every stage my kids go through, but if I had to pick a favorite stage – one I could lock my kids in forever – it would be age 5/6 (Kindergarten/First grade). It’s not as physically demanding as the baby/toddler stage, but they are still so little. They say adorable, hilarious things. Their curiosity and excitement for life is unmatched.

And they love their mom. :)

Reader Favorites!

Friends. I have a fun post today! Not long ago in this Friday Favorites post I added this:

K.. this is totally off the subject, but if you have a picture of something that was inspired from my blog (something you bought/did in your home that I’ve done, clothes you bought from my fashion posts, something you do with your kids I suggested, etc…anything!) I would love to see it and share the picture! I get so many fun pictures e-mailed to me of fun things you are all doing that were inspired by my blog and they make my day. Friday Fashion/Favorites

Happy Friday friends! Man. I’m tired this week! I don’t know if I’m still recovering from the time change (Kole has been up by about 5:15 am every morning this week) or from staying up so late watching election coverage the other night. Either way, I’m excited to sleep in tomorrow. My kids have the day off of school for Veterans Day and they all have strict instructions to wake up, turn on the TV and leave mom alone. That should give me until at least 7:00 am.

Beggars can’t be choosers. I’ll take it. ;)

Speaking of my lovely kids, my girls are joining me for today’s post sharing their favorites from Nordstrom! (Then I have some new favorites of mine at the end of the post!) My girls were clearly not in the mood to hold still when I snapped these pics before school. Some sort of dance move is going on here and I’m pretty impressed with myself that I caught El’s smile mid move. Clearly I’m well trained in the art of pre-teen photography. ;) Regardless, this “I’m only here for the SNACKS” shirt is a favorite around here. And couldn’t be more true regarding most events we attend.

Fall decor – in and out!

Well! Feeling like we need a happy little distraction today from all things election. Let’s talk decor shall we? See.. we’re in a happy place already. ;) In September I shared my family room decorated for Fall along with a few decorating tips that work for any season. Then I sort of left you all hanging and didn’t share anything else.. ha! To be honest, I didn’t go all out with Fall decor this year. Our Better Homes and Gardens photoshoot was early Fall so I was more focused on making sure my kitchen was organized and ready for that. For a few weeks my house was comical! I had Fall in the family room, Spring in the kitchen, and Summer decor everywhere else. :) By the time I took Summer stuff down we were well into Fall and I just wanted to keep things simple. Favorites on Sale!

Happy Sunday friends! I don’t usually post on the weekend but I was doing a little on-line shopping yesterday {shocker I know.. ;)} and I realized that a LOT of my favorite things/clothes I’ve shared over the past few months are marked down big time right now. {CHUNKY WOOL JUTE RUG} You all know the love I feel for my Chunky wool jute rug in my family room. I love it when it goes on sale! I wrote all about this beloved rug in this post. I know a lot of you have bought it based on my recommendation and love it too! That always makes me so happy to hear. I can’t say enough about it, in fact, I love it so much I’m getting another one. Friday Favorites from Nordstrom Home

Happy Friday friends! This week felt a little off starting out with Halloween, didn’t it!? I don’t quite know if I’ve recovered yet. What I do know is that I need to get all of the lingering Halloween candy OUT of my house. My kids leave for school in the morning and then it’s just me and the candy..

and the candy wins every time. :)

My kitchen has a couple of new accessories! The Nordstrom bags go quite nicely don’t they? :) I did some early Christmas shopping at Nordstrom with a friend earlier this week and we were honestly GIDDY hitting the home decor section. You guys! Christmas decor is out in full force! Love it. They have so many cute things right now. They always have so many cute things! And they are having a huge sale right now!
