Magnolia Lane Christmas Tour

craftsman-tree-porch
Hello friends!  I’m Erin from Sunny Side Up and I’m so excited to be joining in this fun Holiday Open House hosted by sweet Amy and Christi (couldn’t love those two more!). I am a San Diego mom to three who loves home design and decor and is just a tad obsessed with organization!  I also love dutch oven potatoes but that’s a story for a different blog tour. ;)  My husband and I finished building our house and moved in just before Christmas two years ago.  This year was especially fun to decorate because we actually have furniture in the main rooms!  Exciting stuff.  I’ve shared a lot more pictures, details and sources in various blog posts on each room (this is just a peek) so click below each room for more info!

Come in!  So happy to have you over.

My favorite part about our outdoor holiday decor is seeing it all lit up at night!

Our formal living room is the first thing you see (after our entry) when you walk in the house.

When we built the house I designed this inset planked wall for a gallery wall of some sort, but since that hasn’t happened yet I decided to use it this season to display our Christmas cards.  It’s so fun finally having something on this wall that I’m tempted to leave it up all year. :)  (Details in this post.)

This is our family room and the heart of our home where we spend the most time.  There are usually pillows on the floor and toys in every corner, but I cleaned the place up just for you. :)

The kids and I had so much fun decorating our tree this year!  Details and sources in our tree post!

I love decorating with past Christmas pictures of my little ones.  They make the season so magical.

These stockings we’ve had for years and there is a special story that goes along with them.  You can read about why they mean so much to me and about other Christmas decor that is meaningful to me in this post: A HOLIDAY with HEART.

Hanging on the door by my stairs are my kids yearly pictures on Santa’s lap!  I think after this year I’ll need to find another door. :)  More family room pictures in this post:

Even though I’m gaining weight daily from our little hot chocolate station.  It’s one of my kids’ favorite traditions and according to my too tight jeans.. maybe mine too.

Thanks for taking the tour and thanks to Amy and Christi for having me!  I still have a lot of spaces in my home to share (I went a little overboard decorating this year and can’t keep up with posting it all!) so drop by Sunny Side Up next week!   I love meeting new people and would be honored if you decide to get comfortable and stay a while. :)

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  Wishing you and your loved ones the happiest of holidays.

xoxo, Erin
