Christmas PJs and Gift Ideas!

Christmas pjs (Sunny Side Up)

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! My crew is all back all together in one place so I got my wish for the holidays! We’ve had a great day at my moms with lots of family time. I can’t quit hugging Ellie! It feels so good to have her with us again. I would be so sad saying good-bye this weekend except that she’s out of school in two and a half weeks and coming home for Christmas. The BEST. We have big plans to make all the Christmas treats and to watch all the Christmas movies together. As if I needed one more thing to love this time of year more. I’m a happy mom. :)

Christmas pjs (Sunny Side Up)

{striped cozy sweatshirt/striped cozy jogger pants/ugg slippers}

El and I also plan on living in Christmas pajamas and I’ve found some cute options this year! These long time Target favorites are back in stock! I love them so much I bought a pair for my mom, sister, sister in law, daughters and niece too. They are so comfy and soft! (*wearing xs in the top and small in the pants.)

Christmas pjs (Sunny Side Up)

{plaid flannel pj set/henley top/ugg slippers}

These plaid flannel pants are also fun for the season! They come with tops in lots of different color combos and are on major sale. I don’t love to sleep in button up tops so I always look for a henley to pair with my pjs. This henley comes in lots of colors and is a great pj staple! (*wearing xs in the top and small in the pants.. xs pants would have fit better but they didn’t have them at my store so I went with a baggy fit on these. I would recommend going one size down in these pants.)

Christmas pjs (Sunny Side Up)

{santa pjs/similar red henley/ugg slippers/santa pjs baby/santa kids/santa men}

These santa pants are too cute. They come in other fun prints and are a great fit. They also come in versions for the whole family I linked above. Bring on all things santa! It’s officially time. :) (*wearing xs in the top and pants)

Christmas pjs (Sunny Side Up)

{waffle sleep henley/satin sleep pants/ugg slippers}

These satin pants are so silky and soft! The henley I’m wearing with them is cropped but it works with these pants because they are high waisted. So cute.. these are definitely favorites this year! (*wearing xs in the top and pants)

Christmas pjs (Sunny Side Up)

{grateful pajama top/pajama pants/ugg slippers}

My hair is covering a lot of this pj top but it says grateful. Really soft and cozy and I love it paired with these cozy inexpensive pajama pants! (*wearing xs in the top and small in the pants.)

Christmas pjs (Sunny Side Up)

{softrib metallic turtleneck/AG jeans/similar boots}

Ok.. not pjs but when I found my flannel pants at Gap I found two cute turtlenecks. I’ve been wearing and loving them both and they are also marked down this weekend. This metallic turtleneck is soft and causal but because of the metallic print you could really dress it up for a holiday party. I love the material! Really soft and comfortable to wear and just a touch of shine.

Christmas pjs (Sunny Side Up)

{softrib turtleneck/AG jeans/similar boots}

This soft turtleneck is also great and what I wore today for Thanksgiving. It comes in other colors and I just ordered the black because it’s marked down so low this weekend!

I’ve rounded up some fun gift ideas for teens, family, friends, etc. along with a few holiday favorites below. So many crazy good sales this weekend! I shared fun GIFTS FOR HER in this post and most of the items I shared in that post are also marked down. I’m excited to do some on-line Christmas shopping for family and friends. I totally avoid the stores on Black Friday! Happy to take advantage of the sales from my couch in my Christmas pjs. Add some popcorn and a cheesy Hallmark movie and I’m set for life.

Happy Black Friday friends! Enjoy the shopping and pie. :)

Christmas in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{black hanover pendants/eloise woven counter stools/small wreaths/similar small wreaths}

Christmas in the kitchen! It’s always such a fun place to add some holiday cheer isn’t it!? Everyone hangs out in the kitchen and I love adding greenery and favorite decor to warm things up and make people want to hang out here even more. :) I’m so happy to have you all over for a little tour of this space!

Christmas in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{faux cedar garland/faux eucalyptus garland/over the mantel mirror}

This year I stuck with my tried and true garland combo for over my cooktop. I just wrapped one cedar garland with one eucalyptus garland (on sale at the moment!) and it creates a beautiful combo. This is actually 4 pieces of garland (2 wrapped on each side) on my shelf.

Christmas in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{antiqued metal tray/black cheese board/tan bottle brush trees/brass salt mill/brass pepper mill (both on sale!)/similar wood stand/similar utensil crock/serving set}

Then I just added a little Christmas cheer here and there with cute bottlebrush trees..

{similar marble cake stand/fresh balsam candle/driftwood/candle snuffer}

and fresh balsam holiday candles. :)

Christmas in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{metal house village set/black metal houses/dark brown bottle brush trees/tan bottle brush trees/tree board/round pizza paddle/rectangle board/similar hoop wreath}

I added my cute black metal houses on my shelf too (they light up so pretty at night!) and my beloved Christmas tree board and hoop wreath against my backsplash. And yes.. I move the wreath when I cook. Believe me.. my house could be up in flames in no time given my track record with the cooktop! We take no chances around here.

Christmas in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

But cooking woes aside.. this section of the kitchen is looking festive. :)

I kept my kitchen window the same as last year.. I just love it too much! Especially with my little white houses in my glass cabinet.

I’m slightly obsessed with tree boards in case you couldn’t tell! They are so much fun to decorate with and then to pull out and use when entertaining.

Cute decor but also holiday party essentials!

Did I buy this nottaway chandelier in the summer picturing it with greenery hanging over it in the winter?

Why yes. Yes I did. :)

Christmas in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{faux cedar garland/tennessee wreath}

I used a command hook to hang a wreath on this window and I’ve loved the look!

I took these pics before I added glasses and napkins but this was my table for my holiday party.

Christmas in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

Time to curl up on this couch and enjoy some down time. This time of year is so crazy but I’m determined to carve out a few family movie nights! The best.

Enjoy Thanksgiving prep! I hope you are all spending the holiday with loved ones exactly how you want to spend it! Given my track record in the kitchen I’ll be in charge of the usual with my family.. setting the table and entertaining the kids.

Also the best. I’ll take it.

Merry Christmas Porch (and coffee table decor!)

{affiliate links used}

holiday party (Sunny Side Up)

Happy Thanksgiving week! I’m sending safe travel wishes your way if you are traveling! This past week was so busy so I’m going to be playing catch up.. I have so much to share! I had my holiday party Wednesday night. I decided to throw it early this year because our December was already looking full in October (this time of year is crazy isn’t it!?) plus I thought having my party before Thanksgiving would give me a deadline and force me to get my Christmas decor up quickly! Well.. it worked. But wow.. many nights last week I was up until 3 am to get it all done. It’s one thing to have the house decorated. It’s another thing to have the house decorated with all bins and boxes put away and everything clean and party ready! I didn’t really take that into account.. ha. But it all got done and you can tell from the picture above that the party was a success. ;) It was both a Thanksgiving and Christmas party and I will share details on how I pulled that off soon!

Green Christmas Porch (Sunny Side Up)

For now I’m kicking off the week with my green Merry Christmas porch!

Green Christmas Porch (Sunny Side Up)

{faux cypress tree/feathery pine trees/black metal lanterns}

Very similar to last year’s porch because I just can’t quit my trees! They make me so happy.. all that green. :) The feathery pine trees are all throughout the inside of my house again too. They are perfect for a console table, mantel, corner of a room. I’m thrilled they are still in stock!

Green Christmas Porch (Sunny Side Up)

{gold beaded garland/similar gold beaded garland/gold mercury ornaments/similar black bells}

I added a few ornaments to my long time favorite faux cypress treessimple gold ornaments that I also used on my living room tree and little black bells. I’m thinking I’ll add some twinkle lights too!

Green Christmas Porch (Sunny Side Up)

Green Christmas Porch (Sunny Side Up)

{faux cypress door swag/similar bells}

I mixed up my door a little this year with this fun faux cypress door swag. I actually bought it thinking I would use it on the mirror over my family room mantel but held it up on my front door just to see how it looked and knew I found its new home! It has a loop on the back so I just used a black command hook to hang it. Then I added the bells (just looped them over the stem at the top). You could dress it up so many ways! Ribbon would be pretty too.

Green Christmas Porch (Sunny Side Up)

 {black metal lanterns/jute rug/green fringe rug}

I usually just use my black metal lanterns on my porch for Halloween but I keept them out for Christmas too this year. They came out with these lanterns in a pretty gold also! Love these lanterns. I’ve had them for around 6 years now. One of those items that never date and always look good! I have real candles in them but I want to get these flamless pillar candles I use on my fireplace mantel. Then they will click on around 5 each night and I don’t have to worry about them starting my house on fire. Always a bonus. :) I used my same jute rug I’ve used all year and added a pop of green. Because never enough green around here!

Green Christmas Porch (Sunny Side Up)

{faux cedar garland/similar garland in stock here & here}

I used the same garland for my porch and added a Merry Christmas banner to tie in the gold. And to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. :)

Green Christmas Porch (Sunny Side Up)

This was my porch last year.. just a few simple changes! Same trees but different rugs and bells on the door instead of the swag.

Similar items but a new look! We are feeling festive around here. :)

{FAMILY ROOM SOURCES}

{eileen coffee table/brass metal nesting tray – 26″/swift oval serving tray/lowell wooden tree candles/sisal bottle brush trees/driftwood bowl filler}

In other decor news.. when I recently shared my family room holiday decor I hadn’t really styled my coffee table. This is how it ended up and I’m obsessed with these trees! Anthro for the win. Every time. :) These bottle brush trees are beautiful and come in so many fun colors (I just stuck with neutrals to tie in with my Christmas tree). The wooden trees are actually candles.. so much fun to take the tops off and light them! Then I just added some driftwood bowl filler and greenery in my cute little oval serving tray.

coffee table decor (Sunny Side Up)

A view from above. :) This brass metal nesting tray is huge! It comes in 3 sizes and this is the largest. The small size would be fun on a kitchen island. I love gold/brass trays.. especially during the holidays.

Anthro is having a huge HOME sale.. 30% off most of their home items including the trees above! So so good! It adds the discount in your on-line cart. This sale was just too good to not share. I rounded up some fun Antro gift ideas and holiday favorites below! Plus my favorite holiday candle.. the best this time of year. A close friend of mine just got a job at Anthro and honestly if I could work at one store that would probably be it! Well.. it’s tied with The Container Store. I could spend all day in both. What store would you choose to work in if you could just pick one? Or in my case.. two. ;)

You’ll see this candle in my kitchen decor soon.. my favorite this time of year. It looks like the small size sold out but the medium and large are both in stock and on sale.. you just have to click on the size you want. Such a great gift idea too!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Winter Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{pajama sleep set}

Sharing some fun winter fashion from Walmart today! Whether you want to be cozy at home or need something fancy for a holiday party, I’ve rounded up some fun options at great prices! Kicking things off with this cute pair of holiday pjs because as you know.. that’s my #1 go to this time of year. :) This pajama sleep set is so cute and incredibly soft! It doesn’t come in my size so I’m wearing one size up and they are a little baggy but I love that.. makes them the best pjs for after Thanksgiving dinner. ;) They come in lots of patterns and would make a great gift too!

*Sidenote.. Walmart also has the best cozy Christmas socks! I stock up for teen girl gift bags every year and then El, Addison and I live in them through November and December. :)

Winter Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{plush sleep robe}

Speaking of being cozy with my girls.. :) These robes! Addison and I give them a 10 out of 10! They are so incredibly soft and comfortable. Like the pjs above they come in lots of fun patterns too. They would make a great gift but you’re also going to want one for yourself. It’s like wearing a cozy blanket! We’ve had such a cold week (for us) here in San Diego and I’m so happy to have this to just wear over my pjs around the house. We are wimps when it comes to cold weather! So meet my new coat blanket.. ha. :)

Winter Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

Love her. :) We ordered one for El too. She is in serious cold weather for college and needs this even more than we do!

Winter Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{reversible quilted vest/sam edelman boots}

This green quilted vest is another recent Walmart favorite that is keeping me warm! I love that it cinches around the waist. The boots I bought last year and they are half off right now! So cute and comfortable.

Winter Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{faux leather moto jacket/sam edelman boots}

This faux leather moto jacket is another favorite and was just marked down! So cute. Green! It’s always a good choice. :)

My little buddy is set for cooler weather too with this long sleeve top! I’m grateful for him this month.. he keeps us all laughing around here. :)

Walmart has so many fun dressy options if you are going to a holiday party! I also couldn’t resist rounding up some fun things for little girls.. oh my word. The cutest! I’ll share fun options for boys soon too. I also rounded up some fun clothes for men because they can be hard to shop for! Then I ended the post with some dining options because I couldn’t resist! Christmas Family Room

Christmas Family Room Mantel (Sunny Side Up)

{eileen coffee table/chunky wool jute rug}

Happy Sunday! I hope you’re having a good weekend so far! My Christmas family room (including the mantel!) is done and things are finally feeling more festive and less messy around here. There is still some mess of course, but I’m getting there! I was so scattered with my decorating this year. For a while every room had been started and nothing had been finished. I’ve been trying to make myself finish one space completely before moving on to the next! I’m still going to switch out my coffee table decor but this will work for now and other than that my family room is finished!

Christmas Family Room Mantel (Sunny Side Up)

{brass lanterns/flamless pillar candles/brass arched mirror/antique brass candle holders/faux cedar garland/

similar faux cedar garland here & here/cable knit faux fur pillow/sherpa tree pillow}

My mantel looks similar to past years. This fireplace is HUGE and takes a lot of garland. I tried mixing a few different garlands for my mantel, but ended up liking it just simple the best with my favorite faux cedar garland (I linked similar options above!). I used the 9 foot garlands and I used 5 for this mantel. I gave both sides a swoop for a fun change.

I’m tricky like that. :)

Christmas Family Room Mantel (Sunny Side Up)

My brass lanterns are my favorite during this time of year.. they click on every night around 5:00 and give such a nice warm glow! Every year I think about mixing it up and moving them somewhere else but I just know I’ll miss having them in this room too much! This room is where we spend the most time and I love watching movies with the candles on.

Christmas Family Room Mantel (Sunny Side Up)

{brass lanterns/flamless pillar candles}

This isn’t a great pic (it’s a screenshot of a video I shared on IG two years ago!) but it shows the sizes of candles I have. They really are so beautiful in person!

Christmas Family Room Mantel (Sunny Side Up)

{khaki velvet ribbon/similar handknit stockings/hanging bells here & here}

You can see in this picture the large command hook I used for my garland (I had one on each end and one in the middle). Then I also use that end hook for stockings, ribbon, bells.. anything I want hanging on the side. :)

Woodsy Glam Christmas Tree (Sunny Side Up)

{all tree sources}

I used the same khaki ribbon that I used on my tree (just a wider size) to tie everything together. (Sidenote – my Christmas tree went on early access sale today and sold out but the 7″ is still in stock! So is this flocked version. My friend has the flocked tree and it’s beautiful too!)

Christmas Family Room Mantel (Sunny Side Up)

My console table got a little holiday re-fresh too!

{feathery pine tree/bronze sculpted reindeer}

My cute skinny deer – I love them too much! I set them next to one of my favorite faux trees.

Christmas Family Room Mantel (Sunny Side Up)

{feathery pine trees in 3 sizes}

You might remember these from last year. I still couldn’t love them more and they are back and still in stock this year! I used them on my porch again and all around the house. :)

Christmas Family Room Mantel (Sunny Side Up)

{black winter tree scroll/tapered jar/gold leaf stems/metal serving tray/glitter stars/round ornaments}

On the right I hung my favorite scroll with a small command hook and then placed some ornaments in this pretty serving tray. I found a package of round Target ornaments with fall colors that work with my Christmas decor this year and spread them out here and there. I also landed on these pretty gold leaf stems at Target and they were perfect for a vase on the console table! I love that (like my leafy glam garland in my tree) I can use them in the fall and the winter.

Christmas Family Room Mantel (Sunny Side Up)

{similar console table/similar baskets}

Woodsy glam just like the tree! I guess it’s a thing. :)

Christmas Family Room Mantel (Sunny Side Up)

{light up birch trees/brass tray/vintage bell swag/*coffee table sources – brass metal nesting tray – 26″/glazed terracotta vase/swift oval serving tray}

Ignore all of my vases at the bottom of my skinny table.. I set them there while I was decorating! Like I said.. there is still some mess happening around here! But my light-up birch trees are out and I’m hoping to clear all messes by this Tuesday. I gave myself a deadline. Wish me luck with that one. :)

Christmas Family Room Mantel (Sunny Side Up)

{leather decorative boxes/black bowl/round ornaments/bryn vase/bottle brush tree here & here/metal easel frame/bottle knit throw}

Simple shelf styling. A few bottlebrush trees and some ornaments in a bowl and bam.. it feels like Christmas. :)  (Other favorite bottle brush trees are in this post.)

My family loves this new faux fur blanket I shared earlier! Kenny and Ad both race to it each night. It’s warm and fuzzy on one side and soft and silky on the other. I love the rich color and texture for decorating! So good. I just ordered a couple more for gifts!

Christmas Family Room Mantel (Sunny Side Up)

These bells in the corner of my table are also beautiful if you still need bells! They are HEAVY and such nice quality. I was going to hang them but might just leave them out displayed like this on the table.

That’s it for a quick family room tour! Like I said, things are still a work in progress but it feels so good to have this space pretty much checked off the list! Have you started your Christmas decorating yet? I’m getting so excited for Thanksgiving. We get to see Ellie! Counting down the days over here.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I’ll be back soon!

I’m tricky like that.

:)

Woodsy Glam Christmas Tree (and favorite holiday pillows!)

*affiliate links used

Woodsy Glam Christmas Tree (Sunny Side Up)

{norway faux spruce tree/woven tree skirt/chunky wool jute rug}

It’s looking pretty festive at my house and my family room tree is ready for the holidays! I’m so excited about how it turned out and I hope you love it too!

Woodsy Glam Christmas Tree (Sunny Side Up)

Every time I put up a Christmas tree I just wish I could have one up ALL YEAR LONG. There is nothing like the lights of a Christmas tree! I’m calling my holiday decor this year “woodsy glam.” Lots of greens, browns, and blacks that create a woodsy vibe, but when I added this gorgeous leafy garland and other gold accents the glam came out to play. :)

Woodsy Glam Christmas Tree (Sunny Side Up)

The past few years I have really loved having “less” on my tree. I love to add some sort of garland and a few types of ornaments, but I like to see a lot of the tree and keep it simple. Less is more for me when it comes to tree decorating these days!

Woodsy Glam Christmas Tree (Sunny Side Up)

I used the same gold beaded garland that I put on last year’s tree and the same glitter star ornaments (they have been favorites for several years now!). The round textured ornaments I bought last year and they sold out in early October this year, but these are a similar look in gold and silver. I used 4 of the leafy garlands on this tree. (Two around the largest part of the tree at the bottom and then two singles for the middle and top). Each garland has batteries and a timer so you can set the garland lights to come on when your tree lights click on. Kenny set all of my trees on timers last year (I can control them with my phone too) and it was seriously the best gift he could have given me! I told my girls.. “marry a man who sets your trees on timers for you.” Ha. My sage advice. ;) Really the reason it meant so much to me is because he isn’t even into Christmas trees! He’d be fine if we never put one up and just did it because he knows how much I love them. It made me so happy. :)

I also added some velvet ribbon this year! Khaki and black. I just cut pieces and tied them on the branches. No bows.. just a simple tie. Like I said.. simple speaks to me.

Woodsy Glam Christmas Tree (Sunny Side Up)

{glitter gold star tree topper}

I placed my beloved gold star tree topper on top and done! I’ll get some night shots when I photograph the rest of this room. This week has been so busy! I didn’t have time for many pics but wanted to take a few of this tree during the day to share. The only thing about my “woodsy glam” decor in my main rooms this year is that there isn’t any red! You all know how much I love red during the holidays. :) I’m going to have to decorate a few red rooms to get my red fix this year. Luckily it’s only mid November.

Lots of time left to keep decorating!

Woodsy Glam Christmas Tree (Sunny Side Up)

I pulled out all of my holiday pillows this week and wow.. I have a few. Ha. :) I looked through all of them and a few stood out as pillows that I tend to use year after year after year. You will recognize most of these! They are pillows that stand the test of time and seem to work with any and all decor. First are my cable knit fur faux pillows. These pillows are a splurge but they are GORGEOUS in person and they are HUGE! They are also incredibly soft and have the best texture with the knit in the middle and the fur on the sides. I’ve had them for years. They work with everything and always look fabulous! I also love that I can use them through February (perfect “winter” vibes). My next favorite is the everywhere velvet pillow. I have and love the hunter green but these velvet pillows come in lots of colors! A perfect soft and gorgeous neutral and I love velvet during the holidays. I also found these that are similar for less if you don’t want to pay PB’s price. My fa la la pillow from last year will absolutely become a tried and true favorite. Just a touch of red adds  the perfect Christmas accent to any room. Plus it just makes me happy. :) And of course my merry pillow. Wow I think I’ve had this pillow for almost 10 years now! Another holiday staple I use every year that looks good any and everywhere. (I have a love a lot of PB’s merry collection! TOO much fun). :)

Woodsy Glam Christmas Tree (Sunny Side Up)

{conell lumbar pillow/conell 20″ square pillow}

This beautiful pillow with black trees is new this year and I’m obsessed! I needed something with black to tie everything together on my family room couch and when I saw this it was love at first sight. The trees add the woodsy vibe and the mountains remind me of my childhood in Utah. PERFECTION. :) It comes in a square size too!

Woodsy Glam Christmas Tree (Sunny Side Up)

Of course you all know and remember my velvet sherpa tree pillow! I usually have it in my bedroom but I’m using it in my family room this year. Another staple that I use again and again because it always looks so good with any holiday decor! The tree and ornaments on it add so much texture. It’s a beautiful pillow and this year PB came out with a matching stocking! The green loops tree pillow is another favorite because of its texture and how well it works with everything, but the green sold out! It does come in a red and grey though and at the moment they are still in stock.

Woodsy Glam Christmas Tree (Sunny Side Up)

Like I said (and as you know!) I’ve bought a lot of holiday pillows through the years and love them all! But I wanted to share my top picks that make the cut every single Nov/Dec. These are the pillows that have been money well spent!

Not that every pillow isn’t money well spent (let’s not be silly!).. but these especially.

;)

Gift Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

Colleen Rothschild products make fun gifts for anyone wanting to up their skin routine. I shared favorites in this post. You can also check out their best seller page. I’m always stocking up on this hair mask and the Extreme Recovery Cream! Love them both too much and I’ve given both items as gifts!

Travel bags/Amazon Prime (Sunny Side Up)

I’ve shared my travel favorites so many times but I’m sharing them again because they make perfect gifts!  This double layer make-up travel bag is my #1!   It holds EVERYTHING.  I love that I can lay larger products in the middle and keep smaller bottles upright on the side.

Travel bags/Amazon Prime (Sunny Side Up)

There is also another zipper compartment on top for make-up brushes and other items. I love the transparent cover to keep make-up brushes clean too. Plus it has a strap and is easy to carry. WINNER!

Travel bags/Amazon Prime (Sunny Side Up)

This electronic organizer is another favorite!  Perfect to hold all of your charging cords, camera items, pens, a mouse, your phone.. whatever you need. Would make a great gift!

Travel bags/Amazon Prime (Sunny Side Up)

If you prefer a good hanging bag this toiletry bag on the left is a great option.  It also holds a lot and has elastics that help keep products upright.  I also really like this travel make-up organizer.  Similar to my favorite bag with a separate spot for brushes on top.  It also has dividers that you can move and customize.

Everything open..

Travel bags/Amazon Prime (Sunny Side Up)

And closed.

These favorite travel bags are all linked below along with this jewelry organizer I also have and love.

1- olaplaex hair repair treatment   2-strengthening hair set   3- hair remedies set

Thanksgiving Table

*affiliate links used
Thanksgiving Table (Sunny Side Up)

{paneled wall mirror/wool jute rug}

I hope you’re having a good week so far! It has been pouring rain here all day and we are loving it! We need the rain so badly plus it’s making the Christmas tree lights feel even cozier. :) On that note.. trees are coming soon! But I wanted to share this fun Thanksgiving table for those of you who are hosting and looking for a few ideas. This table could also easily work for Christmas with just a few small tweaks!

Thanksgiving Table (Sunny Side Up)

{similar table here & here/similar chairs/similar end chairs}

Thanksgiving Table (Sunny Side Up)

{similar square pendants/sideboard/sunken treasure art/lamps}

Thanksgiving Table (Sunny Side Up)

First I poured some glass stones into these beautiful glass hurricane candle holders. (I added some wrapping tissue at the bottom to fill in the base!) Then I added my favorite pumpkin clove candles.

Pumpkin Flower Arrangement (Sunny Side Up)

{glass mason jar vase/antiqued round metal tray/marina enamel vase/mini glazed latte bowl}

Remember my pumpkin and flower vase?

Thanksgiving Table (Sunny Side Up)

I used that for the centerpiece – just minus the flowers and water. Pumpkins only. :)

Thanksgiving Table (Sunny Side Up)

I set my candles in the hurricane vases on the sides of the pumpkin vase and added 4 tall candles along the center of the table too. So nice to use all of the little white pumpkins I had around my home! I spread a few more out along the center of the table.

Thanksgiving Table (Sunny Side Up)

{jute charger/gold flatware/dinnerware set/cane drinking glasses}

I kept my place setting simple using my beloved jute chargers and glasses with these beautiful earth toned dishes.

Thanksgiving Table (Sunny Side Up)

My favorite detail of this Thanksgiving table is the beautiful leafy glam garland with lights! It’s just stunning and I’m using it on one of my Christmas trees this year too! I used two of the garlands for this table but you really only need one. I wrapped it around the front and back of the pumpkin vase so that’s why I used two.

Thanksgiving Table (Sunny Side Up)

I also added some of these beautiful gold votives with tea lights. Really this table shines the most at night!

Thanksgiving Table (Sunny Side Up)

It’s hard to tell in photos (and I’m terrible at night shots!) but between the candles, tea lights and garland it just sparkles!

Thanksgiving Table (Sunny Side Up)

Thanksgiving Table (Sunny Side Up)

And yes! Those are my reindeer out the window lighting up my front porch! I have Christmas going on outside and in every other room of the house. So much fun. This table could easily work for Christmas too. Toss the pumpkins and add some fun bottle brush trees and done!

I hope this table gave you a few ideas for holiday dining! Sorry I’m not more help with the actual meal.

You’re on your own with that one. ;)

Christmas Prep!

*affiliate links used

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

Happy November! From me and Michael Buble. We’ve been hanging out together in my car since September.. but you knew that. :)

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{command hooks}

I hope your month is off to a good start! Batteries, command hooks, garland and twinkle lights are taking over around here and I’m not complaining! I’ll have lots to share soon, but thought I’d pop on to show you a few things I’m using to decorate for the holidays this year. TOO much fun. :) I also wanted to mention that if you want to see items I’m decorating with and sharing day to day AND if you want to see gift guides before they all hit the blog (coming soon!) you can always follow me here on the LTK app! I have lots of fun holiday favorites and gift ideas popping up in the app daily. If you don’t like using the app on your phone (sometimes I just prefer my laptop so I get it!) you can see the same content at the bottom of my blog home page. Scroll to the bottom of my home page and you’ll see “shop my instagram.” If you click on any of those pictures it will take you to the items also. Just an option! I usually post favorites on my blog first, but during this time of year when I’m moving fast with holiday decorating I share things on IG stories and link to the app on the spot. Just thought I’d share that as an option for anyone who didn’t know about it!

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{norway faux spruce tree/merry Christmas garland}

This gold Merry Christmas garland is beautiful and you’ll see it in a few spots in my home this year! A fun Amazon find. And yes.. that’s another Norway spruce in my living room (same as my family room tree!). The tree I’ve had in my living room for the past 9 years is finally retired. It’s a tough tree to put up and requires individually adding bulb lights every year (takes me and Kole hours!). After purchasing the spruce tree for my living room and seeing how easy it was to pop up and fan out (seriously takes 10 minutes!) I said DONE with my old tree.

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{2021 Christmas tree sources/Christmas living room sources}

RIP hard to set up and take down tree. Thanks for the memories. :)

1- ornament garland   2- glass beaded garland   3-bells garland

4-red beaded garland   5-wood beaded garland   6- beaded garland

7- leafy string garland   8-black beaded garland   9- gold beaded garland

Here are a few other beautiful options for tree garland!

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{cedar branch/pine and snowberry branch}

These branches are both beautiful options at a great price. I especially love the cedar branches and can’t wait to style them in a vase!

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{bobble striped knit throw/channeled faux fur throw/oversized basket weave knit throw pillow/Christmas tree lumbar pillow/sweater fleck lumbar throw pillow}

These are two recent favorite throws (also great prices) and they would make beautiful holiday gifts. The bobble knit throw comes in 4 colors and I love the texture it adds! The faux fur throw is SO good. It’s soft, has a beautiful silk lining and is very high end looking! I would have guessed it was from Pottery Barn if I hadn’t found it at Target. :) I picked up some fun new pillows and set them with the pillows I was using for fall. Just playing around with different combinations at the moment!

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{28″ cedar sprigs faux wire wreath}

These are all quick cell phone pics so sorry about the bad lighting but we don’t care because the hoop wreaths are back! YEA! My favorite. I love these wreaths so much because they are so easy to hang! Pop them on a light fixture, a cupboard handle.. anywhere really. I love the look too! They are so pretty. This wreath above is my favorite. I have 4 and use them in my formal dining room and on these lights in my entry every year.

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{asymmetrical mixed greenery wreath/28″ cedar sprigs faux wire wreath/18″ pine sprigs asymmetrical wire wreath/8″ juniper wreath}

The wreath on the top left is new this year and so pretty for fall decorating too. The little smaller hoop wreaths are also fun and easy to use around the house. I’ll show you soon what I’m doing with several! I ordered the small juniper wreaths for the backs of chairs and they sold out for now. The hoop wreaths sold out FAST last year so order quickly if you want one!

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{set 3 cyprus wreaths}

I’m returning these wreaths because I was thinking they would be larger (they didn’t work in the spot I wanted to put them) but they are so cute! A fun option for a window or door.

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{metal house village/ceramic tree/black metal houses}

Lots of Target favorites so far and these black houses take the cake! You can buy a set of 3 with some trees or buy individual houses. Too cute.. I’m in love!

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

They come with tea lights already in them! The only bummer for me about this is I want the lights on a timer so I’m either going to take out the tea lights and put in these tea lights that have timers OR I’ll add some twinkle lights in the back. Still figuring that one out, but regardless, you’ll see where I’m using these black houses soon. :)

1- white ceramic houses   2-village houses   3- metal house village

4-  ceramic houses  5- village tealight candleholders   6- winter village

I love village houses and rounded up my favorites above!

1-metal house ornaments   2-wooden house ornaments

3-lighted tree ornaments   4-house tree ornaments

Little house tree ornaments are also favorites around here. :)

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

Starting to pull village pieces out! I think I’m going to put the white houses in my kitchen cupboard again like I did last year. I love how it lit up at night!

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{tree cutting board/reindeer tea light candle holders/timer tea lights}

Speaking of lights.. how adorable are these little reindeer candle holders!? I have a thing for reindeer. But you already knew that. :)

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{bronze sculpted reindeer}

Here are a few other reindeer I have a crush on this year! These modern reindeer are too much fun. I ordered them on-line a while ago and thought they would be heavy because they are metal but they are actually really light weight. So skinny! :)

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{zinc holiday reindeer}

These reindeer are also favorites and look so cute on shelves and tables.

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{gold candle holders}

These gold candle holders are so beautiful! I’m using them on my tables this year for my holiday party.

Christmas Prep (Sunny Side Up)

{tan bottlebrush trees/antiqued metal tray}

I also have these cute little bottle brush trees in a few spots. :)

1-bottle brush tree   2- white and silver trees   3- red/burgundy trees

4- sage/silver trees   5- green trees   6 – sisal bottle brush tree

7- set of trees   8-green sisal tree   9-warm gold trees

A few other fun bottle brush tree options! Below are more Target favorites.. so many cute things for the holidays this year! Anyone else decorating this weekend?

There is nothing like turning on some Christmas music and decking the halls. :)

1-mistletoe pillow   2-boucle throw pillow

3- pine with juniper wreath   4- cypress wreaths   5-knit throw blanket

6- woven tree skirt   7- pine garland   8-  extra long pine garland

9 – bottlebrush trees tan  10-cream knit stocking

1-green knit stocking   2- ceramic candle holder

Fall Fashion

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{flutter sleeve dress/mumbai runner/kitchen sources}

Happy weekend! I hope you are enjoying it so far! The Halloween festivities are in full swing and my kids are excited! I’m excited too. Mostly just to eat their candy and bring out more Christmas decor. It’s a happy weekend for all. ;)

I’ve been snapping selfies of what I’ve been wearing and loving for weeks and haven’t had time to share any of them so forgive me for the major selfie dump. But Fall fashion! It’s my favorite.

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{mock turtleneck sweater/AG jeans/similar pointed toe boot}

We’re finally enjoying some “sweater weather” and it feels amazing. Really the temps only dropped a few degrees but there is a chill in the air and it’s enough to get everyone in San Diego excited and pulling out all things cozy. I can only wear this sweater in the morning because afternoons are still warm but I’ll take it! It’s so soft and cute. A major Target score and I’m tempted to get it in cream too!

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{pullover sweater/AG jeans/madewell canvas tote/similar totes/similar boots/initial pendant necklace/fall porch sources}

BUT I already have this cream sweater and absolutely love it. A little more of a splurge but when you try it on you won’t want to take it off. Such a good fit! I love the wide neckline and sleeves too.

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

Here’s a closer look so that you can see the ribbed detail. Perfection!

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{rib dolman sleeve sweater/paige high waist wide leg pants/initial pendant necklace/similar wedge sandals}

These pants! They are so much fun. Really this picture doesn’t do them justice. They are CUTE in person. They have a high waist and a wide leg and are so soft and comfortable. This sweater is on its way out (I bought it during the N sale) but it’s such a great fit. I have it in two colors and have been in one or the other at least once a week this month!

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{rib dolman sleeve sweater/AG jeans/initial pendant necklace}

Color #2. :)

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{puff shoulder shift dress/similar madewell belt/similar over the knee boot}

Ok.. when I first tried this dress on I hated it! It has no shape and is HUGE (I’m wearing an xxs and it still felt big!) but I decided to buy it because I love the colors/print and I wanted to take it home to try on with a belt. I was so glad I did! I LOVE it with a belt! It gathers so cute. I ended up wearing it for our family pictures this year. It’s on sale too! Size down and add a belt and you will love it! This will be a fall favorite in my closet for years to come.

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{somerset chiffon dress/initial pendant necklace/similar sandal}

This is the dress I originally bought for our family pictures. It’s so beautiful and I love how it fits! I ended up choosing the navy dress above because this was too hard to coordinate family outfits with (I was shopping closets at the last minute!) but I’m so glad I have this for dressy events. Anthro has a collection of “somerset dresses” and it’s basically this same style of dress in lots of different fabrics, patterns and lengths. You might remember the green dress I bought over the summer from the same collection. They are beautiful and would be great for holiday parties! Especially the velvet! You can see the collection here.

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{juliette sweater-blazer/initial pendant necklace/AG jeans/over the knee boots}

Ok this sweater-blazer! It’s on sale this weekend and is so good! I don’t usually even wear items like this because it’s on the dressy side (I’m more of a cardigan girl!) but this had me at hello. It’s such a good fit and just classy. One of those staples I know I’ll have and love for years. It can be worn so many different ways. I mostly wear it with a tee and boots but it would be beautiful over a dress as more of a coat and would also work with joggers and sneakers! I would size down one (I’m wearing the xxs) unless you plan on wearing it over sweaters.

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{long sleeve tee/initial pendant necklace/AG jeans/dixie waterproof boot}

If you need a good long sleeve tee this style has been a favorite of mine the past two years. I have it in multiple colors and it’s great to layer with a vest or coat.

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{chateau parka}

Speaking of coat you might remember my favorite from last year. :)

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{chateau parka/fall porch sources}

This coat is so good and on sale this weekend! If I lived in a city where I needed a coat daily I would have this same coat in 3 colors. But I don’t. So I just have it in black. :)  (*For shorties like me – I tried this in the petite sizes but didn’t like it because the arms were too short so I went with a regular in size 0).

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

I wear it whenever it’s chilly enough to pull it off! Out with friends.

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

And out with the kids. :) It can easily be dressed up or down.

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{quarter zip sweatshirt/live in pocket joggers/cross body quilted waist pack/houston sneaker}

This is a fun casual look and the sweatshirt is so cozy! A great Target find. The joggers are gold (I’ve had them for years) and how cute is this crossbody purse!? These types of purses are all the rage right now and I think this is such a cute quilted style for a great price! It would make a really fun Christmas gift too. You could give it to someone on its own or fill it with surprises or a gift card. I’m a fan. :)

Fall Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

{peachy pajamas/cozy knit slippers}

Ending our fall fashion post with my favorite outfit of all.. pajamas! Shocker I know. These pjs are almost good enough to make me want to never buy another pair of pajamas again! (But let’s not put that in writing.) ;)  They are PJ salvage so enough said! Always the coziest pjs and the best fit. I have basically lived in these for the past month and a half. My husband will testify. I can’t wait to change out of jeans and into these every evening. These slippers are favorites from last year that are back in stock. They sold out quickly so I was happy to see them back again this year! Both the slippers and pjs would be fun Christmas gifts too.

Alright friends. Back to all things Christmas Halloween!

I’m trying. ONE MORE DAY.

;)

Holiday Gift Ideas

*This post sponsored by Walmart. All product selections and opinions are my own!

October is winding down and I honestly can’t believe it! It feels like the kids just started school doesn’t it!? I’m excited for the Halloween fun this weekend/Monday and even more excited for Tuesday, November 1st when I officially break out ALL THINGS Christmas, blast the holiday music and go to town decorating! Ok ok.. confession. I’ve been listening to Christmas music for over a month and two trees are up, but that’s really it and for me (as you all know) that is showing some serious restraint. Ha. ;)

Regardless of if you bust out the garland before or after Thanksgiving, we can probably all agree that starting the holiday shopping early pays off BIG time. If you’ve downloaded my free holiday planner you know exactly how I divide and tackle my shopping this time of year and I’m excited to be making progress on my lists!  I’m going to share lots of fun holiday gift ideas with you over the next two months (I love finding the perfect gift for people in my life!) and I’m starting today with a few fun gifts I put together from Walmart.

{woven basket/shower loofah/pantene shampoo/pantene conditioner/make-up brush/powder sponge/cherry blossom bath fizzies/cherry blossom body cream/

natural ribbon}

Bath and beauty products always make a fun gift but, as someone who loves to organize I wanted to take that tried and true gift idea one step further! This divided woven basket is perfect to hold bathroom products and is such a cute way to present this gift. When I was tying the ribbon on this last night Addison came down the stairs and said “ahhh mom! Who is that for!? Can I have the bath stuff!? And the make-up brush!? And everything else!? I want this gift!” I thought well! My work here is done. Gift #1 was a hit. Especially for teen girls! ;)

{natural weave basket set/day designer planner/weekly meal planner/natural ribbon}

Following the same idea I used this cute basket set (that is perfect for office organization!) to hold a cute yearly planner, meal plan planner and some pencils. Now this is a gift I would geek out about! Nothing like ending 2022 with fun supplies to kick off 2023! :)

{wood cake stand/kitchen towel set}

This next idea is for someone who loves to bake! I love this simple wood cake stand and you could pair it with so many fun things! I just added this kitchen towel/hot pad set but you could also get creative with a fun cake mix and rolling pin or cookie cutters, measuring cups, or cute spatulas and spoons. Anything related to cooking/baking would work! The bonus is that this cake stand doubles as beautiful kitchen decor when it’s not being used for cakes. :)

I just wrapped this up with some cellophane and ribbon.

Last idea for today is another gift I would be thrilled to receive! These cozy velvet sherpa throws are incredibly soft! So perfect to wrap up in to watch.. I don’t know.. maybe a Hallmark movie?

Or two or three. :)

If you really want to splurge on someone take it one step further and put your cozy throw in a cute basket! These are two favorite baskets that I can’t wait to decorate with this holiday season. So cute right!? Walmart has so many cute baskets on-line right now. I love them both and I’m willing to bet that most people who love home decor would be excited about this gift too. There are some things you just can’t have too many of.. cozy throws and baskets are definitely on that list!

Along with cherry ice chapstick, popcorn and the color green. ;)

I hope these gift ideas are helpful! I love that they take just a little extra time to put together. Not always necessary, but a fun way to say I’ve been thinking of you and you mean a lot to me this holiday season. :)

Enjoy your day and if you haven’t downloaded my holiday planner you can do that here! A little bit of early planning goes a long way. The madness is just around the corner and we will THRIVE this year. Are you with me!? I know that you are!

BRING. IT. ON.

Fall/Halloween Porch

Sharing my Fall/Halloween porch today! Even though we’re over half way through October and many of you (if you’re anything like me) are planning your Christmas porch already! I’ve had it decorated for a few weeks but haven’t had time to share it until now. My little buddy helped wash our pumpkins as is our tradition! Although it was a much shorter activity than usual since we are always trying to be careful with water these days. Plus he’s now in middle school! Watering all the things just isn’t as exciting as it once was.. ha. Luckily the actual pumpkin/lantern washing only takes about 2 minutes so it’s a tradition I think will stand the test of time. ;)

{flutter sleeve dress}

Last year I mixed things up and went with a green and white fall porch so this year I decided to go back to tried and true orange. You just can’t lose with orange in the fall! This cute flutter sleeve dress is a recent Target find I’ve been wearing. It’s so casual and comfortable and comes in other colors too. Would be cute for fall family pictures! Or to wear standing next to orange pumpkins on a fall porch. :)

I had my porch like this for fall for a couple of weeks and then..

 {lighted maple trees/tree baskets/jute rug/orange outdoor rug/cream & brown stripe rug/caleb metal lanterns/bats/happy halloween garland}

decided to add some bats and this cute happy halloween garland. Now we’re ready for trick or treating!

These lighted maple trees are just too much fun!

They looks so cute in baskets next to a wheat bundle and some pumpkins.

I layered 3 rugs.. the jute rug I’ve had on my porch for a year with this fun orange outdoor rug and this cream & brown stripe rug. I also added my long time tried and true metal lanterns that alway make an appearance this time of year. :)

But my favorite part of this porch is how it looks when the sun starts to go down.

And when it’s completely dark. I love the trees!

Aren’t they beautiful!? I snapped these pics quickly with my phone.. they light up so pretty at night. I usually just have lights on my porch/house for Christmas so it feels extra special enjoying them early this year. :)
