New Finds and Old Favorites

Helllllo everyone!  Happy Monday!  I have so many fun things to catch up on with you all!  Sorry in advance if this post seems long.  My New Finds and Old Favorites posts are supposed to go up on the weekend but I didn’t have time and because of a couple of crazy weeks I’m behind on everything I want to share with you all in general!

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

I blame these three. ;)  We are officially back in the swing of things around here and I have to say.. it feels good.  Busy!  But good.  Three different schools meant three different first days which meant three different first day pictures. :)  My high schooler was less than thrilled about school starting, my middle schooler was excited to see friends again and my 4th grader was just flying high over his new luggage style backpack.  He had a dinosaur backpack he was so excited to use and then we got his school supply list and he had to have large binders for each subject that didn’t fit.  Not a happy discovery so mom came to the rescue with a larger spaced themed glow in the dark masterpiece (dinosaur backpack can be used for favorite toys) and all was right in the world again.

On the first day of school I said “Kole!  Get up buddy.. you’re starting 4th grade!  How do you feel!?”  He mumbled “like an iPad that’s on 10%.”  Ha.  I think we’ve all felt like that a time or two the past few weeks getting back in the swing of things. :)

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

Kids back in school usually means pumpkin shopping for me!  I went on a late night run to Trader Joes and found my first pumpkins of the year.  I say first because I always end up making multiple pumpkin runs before the season ends.  I shared this pic on IG stories and got so many questions about my purse.  It’s this cute TB leather and straw bag and I’ve loved it!  Just the right size.  Not too bulky but big enough to hold all the things I need on the daily (and 40% off)!

Halloween Porch Decor (Sunny Side Up)

{organized mudroom cupboards/rug}

I found mums at Costco and can’t wait to decorate my front porch!  I was going to start Saturday but it was so crazy hot we ended up swimming instead.  Are temps cooling off in your neck of the woods?  I will vicariously live through you all over the next two months.

Halloween Porch Decor (Sunny Side Up)

{Halloween Porch}

This is last year’s Happy Halloween porch and I thought I’d share it for my “old favorite” post this week.

Halloween Porch Decor (Sunny Side Up)

Really simple and enough Halloween for me. :)  I’d like to do more of a Fall look this year but I’m sure a few weeks before Halloween I’ll have to pull out the sign and spider webs and BOO pumpkin because Kole loves that stuff so much.  Be careful about the traditions you start with your kids.. usually you’re over them long before they are. ;)

Halloween Porch Decor (Sunny Side Up)

My black striped rug isn’t in stock anymore but I found lots of fun similar options!  Here are my porch sources and other fun thing to spruce up your porch for Fall/Halloween…

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

Ok.. some recent favorites!  I’ve been having so much fun sprucing up my home for Fall this year and have found some fun things I’m using.  Remember this beautiful Eucalyptus wreath I shared a few posts back?

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{Eucalyptus Wreath/Eucalyptus Garland/Eucalyptus Swag}

I love it so much that I wanted to find more Eucalyptus options to use in my kitchen and I found matching garland AND matching swags!  I was so excited because they are from a totally different store – jackpot finding the exact same brand.  These are perfect for Fall and I love that they will transition so well into Christmas decorating too.  Swags are one of my favorite things to decorate with because they are so versatile.  They look good on tables, bookshelves, mantles.. really they can be used in so many different ways.

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

These faux olive branches are another Fall favorite I’m loving in my kitchen!  I have two of the faux olive bundles in this crock.  These branches are another beautiful option but cost a little more.  Both are on sale and so fun for Fall.

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

I took this picture in 2015 and still LOVE these faux branches.  They are my favorites to pull out and decorate with every single Fall.  Now PB has similar faux maple branches that are also just beautiful.  20% off at the moment!  YEA.

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{Branches here and here/Wooden Tray/Clear Vase}

You really don’t need a lot of branches to make a statement with these either.  They are so full that just two make a statement.  This image is one of my most popular images on Pinterest.  Isn’t that funny!?  It gets pinned over and over every Fall.  I think it’s the simplicity of it!  Sometimes we over complicate decorating.  Just toss a couple of branches in a vase, add some mini white pumpkins (always a good thing.. right?) and call it a day. :)

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

And I could NOT photograph this for the life of me because you can totally see the reflection of my french doors in the glass but this Fall By the Lake image is stunning!  (You can see it better on-line.)  It reminds me so much of the years we lived in Virginia and brings back memories of the stunning drive I took to teach school every day.   I would drive right past Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and the colors every Fall were breathtaking!  You can customize the frame and it comes in various sizes with or without a mat.

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

So beautiful!  I snapped this from the side to get rid of as much glare as possible.  I ordered it for this console table and put it up as soon as it was delivered.  Kenny walked in that evening from work and noticed it immediately and said “oh I love that!”  That’s how I knew it was a winner.  I’m constantly rearranging things and bringing in new decor and my husband NEVER notices.  Well.. I won’t say never.  He always seems to notice when his beloved clock is removed from our bookshelf (be careful about the traditions you start with your husband too..) ha.  Really though.. I love that he loves it as much as I do!

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

A favorite coffee table book I’m displaying this season!  Patina Farm is so beautiful inside and out and full of inspiration.

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{Moroccan Woven Baskets}

And this is an old favorite that I’m sharing again because I picked up a few more for Fall decorating and for gifts for friends’ birthdays and I remembered how much I LOVE this basket!  This set of three is one of my favorites but this particular basket takes the cake. :)

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{Gigietta Bootie/Snake Print Raven Booties/Trice Peep Toe Bootie/Ugg Slippers/Converse Sneakers/Miriam Sandal}

In fun fashion news, all of my favorite shoes from the N sale are back in stock!  (Kept and love all of these except the snake skin boots!  Just couldn’t do it..) ;)

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{Bell Sleeve Sweater/Paige Jeans/Gigietta Bootie/TB Purse/Similar Hoop Earrings}

This sweater is a recent favorite I ordered.  It has a loose comfortable fit and I love the sleeves.  I wore it a few weeks ago when we had a chilly evening but it has been too hot to wear since!  These jeans are newish favorites from the N sale but I’m sad to report they are MUCH tighter on me now than they were in July!  Hate that.  And if it doesn’t look like it in this pic that’s because when I gain weight it mostly all goes to one spot.  Thank goodness selfies are frontside. ;)

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

I know exactly why.  My parents came into town for Ad’s play and while they were here we all ate out so much!  I was just living it up without a care in the world.  Club Avocado rolls?  Yes please!  Bread with that steak?  For sure!  Cheesecake for dessert?  You bet!  Time to celebrate.

All fun and games until the new Paige jeans don’t fit anymore.  Ha. :)  Needless to say there is some work to be done this month.

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{Similar Faux Wrap Dress}

But totally worth it because this girl was the most amazing Matilda.  It was her biggest role yet with so many lines and songs.. so proud.  We were due to celebrate!  I’m craving bread just thinking about it. ;)

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{Crepe Wrap Top/Similar Satin Camisole/AG Jeans/Miriam Sandal}

Ok.. I’ve worn this Crepe Wrap Top a few times since I bought it and absolutely love it! (50% off!)  It’s really lightweight so perfect to transition to Fall and it comes in red too which would be so fun for the holidays.  (I added a satin camisole under it but it looks good without one too.)

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{Dot Dress/Similar Sandals/Earrings/Navy Diamonds Rug}

My cute Dot Smocked Shoulder dress is 40% off!  This has been on repeat for church.  So cool and comfortable!

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

This Patch Cable Crewneck Sweater was a favorite from the sale that’s back in stock!

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

(Pointelle Fit and Flare Sweater Dress)

This pretty black dress is 40% off right now.  Such a great fit and a closet staple!

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

This Traveling Stitch Sweater is on sale for just $32!  So cute on and it comes in pink too!

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

This cute Cowelneck sweater is back in stock in 2 colors and I love it so much I’m tempted to pick it up in the Oatmeal too!  (Runs big so order one size down.. this is xxs and the sleeves are still long!).

Fall Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

And you guys!  This Zella Farrah Hooded Fleece Jacket is 40% off and just $53!  Such a good deal.. this is the coziest thing I’ll wear this winter.  It comes in pink too and I’m tempted to get one for each of my girls while it’s on sale because if not they’ll be stealing mine!

Ok.. that’s a wrap!  I hope I didn’t overload you with all my new finds and old favorites!  I’ll be back soon.  Lots to share now that I’ve adjusted to our new schedule and routine. :)  Enjoy your week!

  1. You are the cutest Erin! And I love that top in the pic with Ad! So has Matilda ended? I want to come see her perform so much! Ryan is hoping it might work out for us to come down for our fall break, I think I sent you the dates but I’ll text them again.
    Oh and I see El is still going with the black hoodie, wonder how long she’ll stick with it? 😂

  2. You need an assistant to help you with all the schedules, Erin! Wow! Is your middle daughter starting high school next year? Then maybe it’ll be a bit easier with just two schools. Always enjoy seeing your favorites. I live vicariously through you and your beautiful decor and fashion choices. I think my favorite of your favorites was that big framed picture. SO beautiful. You always look so cute and stylish in your fashion. I love me some bread too, but puff up quite a bit more than you! Glad to hear you are getting into the swing of life during the school year! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Lots of cute stuff you got for home and yourself! As I get older Fall season is becoming more and more my favorite. Our weather has started to cool off as soon as Labor Day passed. I’m loving being able to sit at our porch with a light blanket and read or just enjoy the outdoors. Sunny autumn is the best! Sadly, I don’t get to do this very often because the girl has to work, and do grocery, cleaning, laundry, etc. for the weekend. When I do catch up with all these things it’s absolutely glorious and I give a big sigh of relief and enjoy our Fall sunny weather so much more. I got done with Fall decorating last Friday and went to Trader Joe’s Saturday to pick up some little white pumpkins too. The cashier asked what will I be using the pumpkins for. Why to decorate, of course! Why buy pumpkins to eat? Actually, does anybody cook and eat the little white pumpkins? Inquiring minds want to know.

    1. Thank you so much Deborah! We designed the plans custom with an architect and aren’t sharing them, but if you head to my IG page I’ve done holiday IG TV tours that give you a good idea of layout. :) I hope that helps!
