Happy Sunday! Sharing your favorites from last week, early Prime Day deals and some cute things I’m getting excited about for Christmas decorating! Tis the season! Almost. :) Wishing you a great start to your week!

Happy Saturday and happy October! Last month was busy because we were traveling for half of it! Next week kicks off a full month of being home and I’m so excited to start a little Christmas decorating! Just in a few rooms. ;) This pic above was from last year and it’s making me so excited! Cute holiday items are starting to pop up on-line and one of my favorite garlands from Amazon is over half off right now! I used two garlands I love to decorate most of my home last year and will do the same this year. I linked them both above! I say this every year (sorry for the broken record!) but good garland is the Christmas decor item that always sells out FAST so if you’re looking for garland October is the time to get it! Thank you and you’re welcome. :)

Another pic of those same two garlands together! I layered multiple strands of each to get this full look. Debating if I should do it the same this year or mix it up! Regardless I will be using these garlands. :)

For the stairs I used my favorite cedar garland again but the extra thick version that came out last year. It’s back in stock and STUNNING. Pricey but gorgeous! Linking a few other garlands below that I’m seeing on-line that are also stunning and will likely sell out this month!

A few travel favs I’ve shared before! I snapped pics of them on the plane coming home from CO. I have been on the go so much and couldn’t travel without these staples! They make great gifts too.. I’ve given several friends this make-up bag!

Always full of little things I might need on the plane.

Favorite jewelry case. Also a favorite bracelet peeking through! I bought my girls one for Christmas this year. :)

Perfect for any vitamins/pills!

I walked into Target and saw the cutest new serveware! I just stopped right there in the aisle and did a little styling (don’t mind me shoppers!). The scalloped dishes! Be still my heart.

Love this flatware for holiday parties! The floral placemats and napkins are so pretty too.

These pumpkin pillows are so cute too and look just like PB for less!

I came home with this black bomber jacket. So cute.

Ruched Knit Top / Faux Leather Bomber Jacket / Mother Jeans / Nike Sneakers / Similar Sunglasses / Suede Hobo Bag
It’s very similar to this cute brown jacket but less than half the price!

The woven sleigh! I’m going to put Christmas ornaments inside. :)

A few more Magnolia pics!

Fall perfection.

Always a good day with this one. :)

Love this. Yes they do. :)
6 ā PARENTS WEEKEND

A few more pics from parent’s weekend. Texas heat is NO JOKE. We did some tailgating and met more of her cute sorority friends.

Then we sat with our friends during the game. It was so hot! We barely made it to half time.. ha.

We met back with Ad and a big group of friends/parents and all went to lunch. In the air conditioning!

Then we spent some more time with our girl and took her to Magnolia Table for dinner. Loved these beautiful vines!

Love time with her. Ellie is close and we get to see her almost every weekend. It’s hard not seeing Ad as much! So grateful for the time we do get with her.

Wrapping up this post like we wrapped up our trip with this gem. On it Chip. :)
Enjoy your weekend!

FP Movement Jogger Set HERE and HERE / NB Sneakers (similar) / Calpak Duffel / Beis Lavender Suitcase / Transparent Suitcase Cover
Just got back from a fun trip with friends and I have to share pics because FALL.. we found it! Quick pic from the airport. My friend and I are twining because we love these Free People sets! They are so comfortable and flattering. (They fit true to size – wearing xs.) I was so excited to take my new purple luggage I bought during the N sale but I didn’t want it to get scratched! At least not for a while. :) So I ordered a clear cover and it worked so well.

Kenny and our friends relentlessly teased me about this.. and about packing so much as I always do (ha) but I don’t care! The cover got scratched and my suitcase did not! Now when I travel with this suitcase on road trips it will be beautiful and scratch free. Also when it was warmer than we thought it would be on our trip I wasn’t stuck wearing sweaters. I had options. I’m a huge fan of scratch free luggage and having options. :)

Faux Cedar Wreath / Pre-lit Tree
As soon as we made it to our destination we stopped by a Walmart to get groceries and my friend and I of course had to pop over to see the holiday decor. We were dying over the cute Christmas items they had in! I snapped a pic of everything I saw that I loved. Tempted to order it all! Hello gorgeous wreath!

These little pre-lit trees in baskets are also too cute! I have one in a larger size and they light up beautifully!

Brown Frayed Ribbon / Taupe Frayed Ribbon
If you’re going neutral this ribbon is gorgeous!

TOO CUTE. I linked all of my Walmart Christmas favorites below and then picture overload from our trip!

After our Walmart grocery run we got to the hotel and these two thought they would test how big the tub was. My friend and I were quickly reminded why we can’t take them out in public.

FP Green Tee / Crop Zip Hoodie / Similar AG Jeans / Green Sneakers / Similar Crossbody Bag
The next day we toured the historic ski resort town Breckenridge, CO.

It was the most beautiful fall day and the town was so charming. We went into all the little shops and ate lunch and then went on a drive to see the fall leaves. Colorado is so beautiful in the fall!

Mock Neck Sleeveless Dress / Similar boots Here and Here/ Suede Hobo Bag
We cleaned up later that night and went to a restaurant in Vail called Harvest for dinner. The food was delicious and the view was spectacular. Sidenote.. I absolutely love this dress! It runs a size big (wearing xxs). It’s fitted but so comfortable.

These dresses are very us.. ha. She loves patterns and feminine dresses. I’m usually in solid colors and would always rather be in jeans than a dress, but if I’m going to wear a dress it will be simple and solid and preferably something I can wear with boots because heels are the enemy.

The next day we went on a hike and I couldn’t get over the stunning scenery!

Crop Zip Hoodie Ā / FP Dynamite Tank (black cherry) / Leggings

Ruched Knit Top / Faux Leather Bomber Jacket / Similar Sunglasses
Then we spent the day in Vail exploring the town and Farmer’s Market.

Talk about charm! Every building, store and restaurant was idyllic and we had so much fun exploring together and taking it all in.

One last drive to see the fall leaves!

Aren’t the trees absolutely stunning!?

I came home feeling grateful for time spent with my husband, time spent with good friends,

and time spent in nature. Colorado you are stunning. Thank you for giving us our fall fix as we head back to the palm trees!
Happy Sunday! FUN round up today of so many holiday favorites! I’ve ordered a lot of the cute things below and I know they will sell quickly so I’m sharing a few Christmas items early! (Obsessed with the red ruffle tree skirt and scallop tree collar!) Lots of fall favorites too. I love this time of year!
Wishing you a great start to your week! :)

Happy Saturday! Feeling cozy around here! I snapped a few pics of my family room this week. I wish fall lasted 6 months. It’s such a beautiful season that just doesn’t last long enough! We are heading to see fall leaves soon and I can’t wait.

Until then I’ll just enjoy them on my pillows. :)

Since the kitchen was clean I snapped a few pics of it too.

I put together this cute arrangement for my island and love the rattan pumpkins with these pretty leaf candles!

It’s especially beautiful at night! I used my favorite under my rattan pumpkins and it gave them such a pretty glow. The leaf candles flicker and are also stunning!

I have so many fun fall clothes to share that I’ve been wearing lately and just haven’t had time to round up the pics. This ruffle top has been on repeat the last two weeks. It’s so cute and comfortable! I love this shade of brown. Very fall. :)

BEFORE
Quick BEFORE and AFTER of this cupboard in my office! This space has stayed organized through the years and worked so well for us when the kids were younger! But now my girls are off to college and Kole is older and we don’t use a lot of these school supplies. These cabinets are deep and I knew I could make better use of this space so I pulled everything out and got to work.

AFTER
So happy with the after! I kept our paper organizer because we use that but moved the other school supplies out and my trays in! I rotate a lot of trays through the seasons when I decorate and the trays I’m not using at the moment were taking over my kitchen. Now they all have a happy home. :)

BEFORE
Of course if you give a mouse a cookie.. :) Fixing my tray situation meant consolidating school supplies and other items we are still using and making them all fit in this cupboard.

AFTER
Another happy before and after! I got rid of a lot of random things we don’t need anymore and that always feels so good.

There are so many spots like this in my home that were organized for life with 3 kids home that I need to re-think. Time to put these spaces to better use!

Pic of the week. My Super Bowl (Christmas decorating) is right around the corner and I’m going to be ready. :)
Lots to share next week! Enjoy your weekend!
It’s the Sunday Edit! On a Monday. Just a little behind around here. :) But I have so many cute things to share and the holiday bow collage is my favorite! It’s so fun seeing everything dropping in stores for Christmas this year! I’m sharing your favorites from last week, new fall and holiday arrivals and this that I I ordered for my college girls. Wishing you a beautiful week!

Happy Saturday! I hope you had a good week. :) It still feels like summer outside at my house but inside Gilmore Girls is on, soup is in the crockpot and my pumpkin spice candle is going strong. Don’t ever underestimate the ability to create your own happiness.. ha. To add even more fall vibes I decided to put together a centerpiece using this wood tray and some fall goodies from Amazon. I just set everything in the tray and put these cute little

It took all of 5 minutes and turned out so cute! Plus it smells heavenly! It’s the pumpkin spice scent from the

Isn’t it pretty!?

I keep moving things around on this shelf and it actually already looks a little different tonight than when I took this pic earlier today because it felt too cluttered to me! But it’s full of lots of fall favorites I’m having fun styling.

Cute little witches.

Sharing a few recent Amazon/Target wins. How cute is this football tray for chips or veggies and dip!? I had to snag it for weekend games.

Speaking of pumpkins.. the tradition lives on! I can’t say that he was as excited to wash the pumpkins as he was when he was younger, but he was a good sport to clean them for me and then we got take out and ate together to kick off the weekend. :) He is growing up and maturing so much these days! I’m so proud of him.

A little flashback of pumpkin washing through the years for those of you who have been with me a while..

Love the way his little tongue is sticking out in this one.. deep concentration! :)

And today! Love this kid so much.

Here is my final fall porch with clean pumpkins! Ha. I wanted to go crazy and add 3 times as many as I have here, but the practical side of me that knows I’ll be switching things out for Christmas before I blink kept it in check. 10 pumpkins and done. :)

My ghosts are happier now. I can tell.

We needed those pumpkins to finish the look!

So cozy.

Enjoy your weekend and whether it’s real or pretend at the moment.. happy FALL.
:)

My living room is officially ready for fall!

I couldn’t wait to pull out my cute rattan bats again this year and I love having them in this room because they greet you right when you walk in the front door! I bought this pretty mirror over the summer (such a good Amazon find) that was perfect to layer on my mantel. (I also found these fun rattan bats for less as another option!)Ā

Then I added lots of this gorgeous garland! It’s so good for fall.. such a beautiful rich color that can work with spooky decor too. I used 2 of the 9 foot garlands and one of the 6 foot garlands.

Enjoy your week and bring on the bats!
Especially if they are rattan and not moving.
:)
Happy Sunday! Sharing so many fun things for fall and a few recent favorites like the that’s back in stock! I’m debating getting it for my girls. So many of my friends got it last year and said it had a lot of GOOD products inside to try. Another holiday item that sold out quickly last year! I’m also sharing your favorites from last week and some fun items from Magnolia. Wishing you a beautiful start to your week!

Most mornings I head out on a quick walk early before I take Kole to school and this beautiful spot is across the street at the halfway point where I flip around. I always stop here to enjoy the view and take a few minutes to think about one thing I’m grateful for. The combination of morning light, movement and practicing gratitude in the morning before I start my day really helps to ease any stress I might be feeling and puts me in a good mood. I notice a big difference on days I miss my walk/daily gratitude! Sometimes life just feels heavy – whether it’s things happening in the world or things happening in our homes and I wanted to share that idea if any one is feeling like they could use a daily positive boost. It has helped me a lot this past year. I’m sending love to you all and can’t tell you how many times I have thought about my blog readers during my morning gratitude. Thank you for bringing the sun to Sunny Side Up. :)

Belgian Linen Pillow,Ā Leaf Pillow

This week I added one more. They seriously might be two of my favorite fall pillows ever! I wanted to get pics of how my family room is looking for fall and just ran out of time this week but have lots of fall decor to share soon.

Not a great picture.. I snapped it quick before heading to dinner last week because I wanted to share that these cute jeans are back in stock! They were my favorite pair from the N sale and they sold out after day one. They are a classic straight leg with a cute, flattering fit.

I had so many of the same questions pop up in my email and IG DMs after sharing my fall porch so I wanted to answer a few of them quick! The first question was about the hook I use on my door to hold wreaths. I usually use this command hook and haven’t had any issues!

Outdoor Ghosts,Ā Faux Eucalyptus Tree,Ā Caleb Metal Lanterns,Ā Flameless Candles,Ā Modern Rustic Fluted PlantersĀ (Similar Amazon Planters),Ā Porch Pot Flowers,Ā Spanish Moss,Jute Rug,Ā Plaid Rug,Ā Boo Welcome Mat
The next question that kept popping up was about my porch pot flowers.

I also had a lot of questions about rug sizes! Definitely measure your space before you buy rugs but these are the 3 sizes I used..
Ā – 4×6
– 3×5 – largest size it comes in. (I also bought this rug in 1’10” x 2’10” to set in front of our side dutch mudroom door! So cute.)
– 2′ x 2’11” – largest size it comes in.Ā

I hope that was helpful. Adding pumpkins next week!

This was my fall/Halloween porch a couple of years ago. I still love my

They really show off at night. :)

These slim trees were a new addition last year and I couldn’t love them more! They are such a great size for slim corners and look beautiful lit up at night.

They also come in a flocked version and you can get them in 5,7 or 9 feet tall. The trees I’m sharing are 7 feet.

Last weekend I took down my Spring/Summer porch and it felt so good to sweep and scrub everything clean! I enjoyed an empty space for a few days and then got to work on my fall porch.

This is what it’s looking like today! It’s not quite finished because it needs PUMPKINS! I’m patiently waiting because I like real pumpkins on my porch and they aren’t popping up in stores around here yet. But it’s making me so happy to have my cute ghosts out!

I ordered these

These faux brown eucalyptus flowers were a perfect match and look so realistic! They are just like the flowers I put in small pots on my spring porch. They come in a pack of 20 and are so easy to work with effortlessly spilling over the pot.

The

This was my second option! The same eucalyptus leaves in a pretty rust color. I might put this one inside.

I also tried out this pretty wreath.. more yellow shades so it didn’t work as well with my trees, but I love the way some of the leaves spill off the sides.

I also ordered this black plum wreath to try.. it’s beautiful and perfect for a porch with more of a spooky vibe! I’m a little more spooky cute this time of year. :)

I layered this cute

I need to take some pictures at night when everything is lit up! I might add even more lights inside my ghosts.

We had a few windy days soon after I set the ghosts up and they kept tipping over! I tried putting some books around the base but that didn’t work so I set some canned goods around the base and that seemed to do the trick! They haven’t budged since. :)

I always use packaging paper like this to fill my pots. Most Target orders come with lots of it!

Then I put spanish moss at the very top.

Easy and done!

Such a happy sight to pull in to every day! I hope it gave you a few ideas for your fall porch! I’ll share a few more pics after I add pumpkins. LOTS of pumpkins.
I love September. :)
Happy Sunday! Sharing all of your recent favorites along with cute game day outfits and new fall hand bags and decor from Target! (This cute comes in so many teams and looks so comfy!) I’ll be back soon with lots of fall decor! Love this time of year. :) Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
