SUNDAY 6

1 – TEEN GIFT IDEAS

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Happy Sunday! Time for a random round-up of things going on around here! My youngest is turning 16 years old on Monday. HOW is that even possible!? I’m going to do one of these two things for a gift for him and thought I’d share because teens can be so hard to shop for! They love gift cards or cash, but that can feel not as fun to give so here are a couple things I’ve done in the past. I gave Kole gift cards to favorite spots when he turned 10 and just clipped them to a card I made with clothespins! Easy and he loved it.

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

When Ellie turned 16 we gave her cash in a pizza box. So simple and it was a fun way to give cash and still feel like it was a thoughtful gift.

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

I just taped the back with painters tape to hold it all together.. ha. Painters tape always does the trick!

2 – PB UMBRELLAS

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Fun early morning delivery last week!

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Patio Umbrella

We ordered a couple more patio umbrellas. We’ve had these around our pool for the past 13 years (since we moved into the house) and have LOVED them. They adjust to different heights and swing around so you can move the shade where you want it. They have lasted for years and have been a great investment we use again and again.

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

We always wish we had more umbrellas when we have people over and lots of tables set out that need shade so this summer we should be covered!

3 – GEOMETRY TOWELS

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Geometry Towels

I shared a lot of cute Geometry towels in a collage last week and here is a pic of what I ended up ordering! I’m slowly moving over to all Geometry dish towels in my kitchen because I ALWAYS want to reach for the few I have. They absorb so well and are a great size and the cutest prints! Hands down my favorite and these patterns for spring and summer are so adorable.

4 – VASES

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Some cute Target finds! I’m hosing a wedding shower in a few weeks for a close friend’s daughter and the theme is blue and yellow with LEMONS so I couldn’t pass these up! The large blue vases look like PB! Such a good price on such large, gorgeous vases if you love blue. I can just see these full of white hydrangeas!

5 – FLORAL DOORMAT

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Spring is springing in the yard! I have a row of white iceberg roses in-between all of these purple flowers and can’t wait for them to bloom too!

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Floral Mat, Jute Rug, Striped Rug, Planter Baskets, Rattan Bunny, Rattan Flower Holder, Faux Tulips, Faux Olive Tree, Faux Camellia Tree, Faux Camellia Tree Duo, Faux Camellia Tree Duo (similar), Spanish Moss

My floral doormat finally arrived and it’s so cute. I initially bought it to layer on my porch and really like it like this.

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

BUT I got used to just seeing this and can’t decided now if I should layer it or not.

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Floral Mat

It also looks so cute on its own in front of the dutch door! Life is full of a lot of UN FUN decisions so when a fun decision like this comes along I’m here for it. :)

I also like fun solutions so maybe I just need two of these floral mats!

6 – MARCH FAVORITES/AMAZON SPRING SALE

March Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

Amazon has been having their huge spring sale and it lasts a few more days! So many favorites have been marked down and above is a round-up of many Amazon favorites at our house!

Sunday 6 (Sunny Side Up)
I also rounded up some fun teen Easter ideas if you need some! Below are more favorites on sale and your favorites from last week. Enjoy your Sunday and we’ll talk soon! :)

Organized Pantry

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

BEFORE

Let’s talk pantry organization! It’s not the first time we’ve talked about the pantry and I’m sure it won’t be the last.. ha. :) After the holidays my pantry had seen better days. It was still kinda sorta organized but everything was over stuffed and it really just wasn’t working for us anymore. One thing that has changed with my girls moving out.. we eat less food! We went from a family of 5 to a family of 3 and I realized that we just didn’t need all of the food storage containers anymore. Half of them were empty a lot of the time and that was precious storage space I could use for decor. Honestly with just the 3 of us we pick up take out a lot of nights or just cook chicken in the air fryer or make sandwiches. We’re all pretty low maintenance when it comes to food. :) It was time to take back this space!

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Pic from a video of me cleaning our shelves. I have never done a pantry clean out this big. I took EVERYTHING out. My hallway and dining room were a mess for weeks because I started this and then ran out of time to finish it.. ha!

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

I really wanted to scrub everything clean (shelves were SO dirty) and I cleaned all of my serving items that were dusty too. It was also nice to clear the clutter and really think about how to organize things I wanted to keep. I donated a lot of items I don’t use anymore which also felt so good! Then I brought serving items in from other places that I wanted to store in the pantry.

AFTER

Here is the after! It might not look that much different but it FEELS so different! For starters it’s sparkling clean which feels amazing! I’m so happy every time I walk in!

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)Pantry Labels, Glass Storage Containers, Large Glass Containers, Pasta Storage Containers, Cereal Dispenser, Woven Basket, Citrus Wall ArtMackenzie Childs Collection

It is also just functioning so much better and I’m not wasting any space.

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Pantry Labels, Glass Storage Containers, Large Glass Containers, Pasta Storage Containers, Cereal Dispenser, Woven Basket, Citrus Wall ArtMackenzie Childs Collection

I styled the items I use most when I host/entertain on these shelves and now it also doubles as pantry decor. I’ll take it.

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Citrus Wall Art

The art is the only thing that I don’t use and it’s just CUTE in this space. We always have cuties (love them) so I added a bowl of them next to the art. Life is about the little things that make you smile and this is one of those for me. :)

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Pantry Labels, Woven Basket, Bin Labels, Citrus Wall Art, Fruit Bowl (Similar)

The baskets stayed the same. They are lidded basket from PB and I just took the lids off! They are so DEEP and perfect for this space.

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

The drawers got a major clean out inside too and these dividers are so good! I’ve slowly switched out most of my drawer dividers to these acrylic dividers because they are light weight, pretty, easy to use and they stay locked in place so well! They also come in different heights. I have the taller set in my bathroom because those drawers are so deep and these 4″ dividers in my pantry. One of my favorite ways to organize a drawer!

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

This was the one drawer that didn’t need work.. ha! I just wiped it out and put in new sandwich bags. :) Game changer when I bought these two organizers!

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

I won’t bore you with every drawer but each is clean and not nearly as full as it was before. One drawer on the right is almost empty because I donated so many cookbooks I never used!

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Glass Storage Containers, Large Glass Containers, Pasta Storage Containers, Cereal DispenserMackenzie Childs Collection

The biggest change in this space is now I’m only using one shelf for food storage and I switched from all of my OXO containers. I still love them! But the lids were a pain to keep clean and I had them for so many years (from my pantry in our previous house!) so they were looking a little beat up.

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Pantry Labels, Glass Storage Containers, Large Glass Containers, Pasta Storage Containers, Cereal Dispenser

I decided to switch to these glass containers and we are LOVING them! They are lightweight and so easy to wipe clean.

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Pasta Storage ContainersPantry Labels

I love the tall containers for pasta! I found these cute labels on Amazon too.. waterproof!

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)Pantry Labels, Glass Storage Containers, Large Glass Containers, Pasta Storage Containers, Cereal Dispenser

I also switched from 4 cereal containers to these two cereal dispensers because we aren’t eating as much cereal. For the most part I LOVE these. I bring my yogurt in and roll the little dial and instant granola on top! One thing to note.. when you turn the dial it can sometimes grind a piece or two smaller with bigger things like the wheat chex! Not a big deal but I wanted to mention it if you are considering getting these. The other thing to consider is they are TALL so make sure you have the space for them! Other than that.. coolest invention ever. :)

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)Pantry Labels, Glass Storage Containers, Large Glass Containers, Pasta Storage Containers, Cereal Dispenser

Kenny was giving me such a hard time about these labels! He walked in when I was putting them on and said “what are you doing?” and I said “putting labels on these containers” and he said “oh I am SO GLAD you are doing that. I couldn’t tell that was the pretzels! Or the nuts. What would we even do without the labels?” Ha ha.. he thinks he’s hilarious. Every time he gets out something to snack on he shakes his head and tells me how grateful he is for that label telling him what he is about to eat. IN MY DEFENSE! I ordered the labels for the baking items (flour, sugar, etc) but there were so many cute options. I had a sticker for everything! And who wants to let a good label go to waste!? Gotta love the sarcasm. Teasing me is his love language. But I will defend my labels to the death. They are sometimes useful and every time CUTE. Who is with me!? ;)

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

There are my baking items I needed the labels for! Who can tell between baking powder and baking soda!? NECESSARY. Side note.. these cute serving boards have a fun scallop edge and I use them all the time. Same with my marble lazy susan! Such a favorite.

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Pantry Labels, Glass Storage Containers, Large Glass Containers, Pasta Storage Containers, Cereal Dispenser, Round Serving Board, Square Cutting Board, Marble Lazy Susan (Similar), Fruit Bowl (Similar) Mackenzie Childs Collection

On to the bottom section!

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Baskets are all clean too! These are great for bread, rice cakes, potatoes.. things like that.

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

3 Tier Can Organizer

My shelves are so clean! I’m loving having them less stuffed. This can organizer is such a long time favorite I’ve had for years.

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Mackenzie Childs Collection

I also added a tray for my blow pop suckers.. ha. Like I said.. time to make this pantry work for me. ;)

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

I am happy and so are the singing angels. I hear them in this space often now.

Pantry Organization (Sunny Side Up)

SO happy to have this space clean and organized and checked off the list! Also happy to have my hallway and dining room back. And labels on EVERYTHING so we always know exactly what we are eating.

;)

Sunday 6

Spring Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

Happy Sunday! I hope you had a good week and are relaxing before another one hits! We are having such warm weather on the coast! I know a lot of states are experiencing a heat wave right now too.. crazy hot for March. It feels like we skipped spring and went straight to summer. Time to start buying pool floats I guess!   It’s definitely inspiring lots of thought about our outdoor spaces and how to update a few things. Especially after getting the porch decorated. I need to do a deep clean of our backyard and have been putting it off but it’s time!

Sharing some cute things I’ve been wearing lately!

1 – FREE PEOPLE PANTS

Spring Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

Tank (similar), Linen Pants, Linen Pants (from Nordstrom), Linen Pants (similar), Mesh Espadrille, Phone Case
Loving these cute Free People linen pants! They fit a little large but that’s the look.. very loose and comfortable with a stretchy waist. Think Thanksgiving pants! You can eat what you want in these.. ha. This style of pant is so cute with these mesh espadrilles! Also the mesh espadrilles have some height to them so they help when pants are a little long. If you’re short like me you appreciate things like that! I love almost all free people tanks and I guess with this heat it’s time to start pulling them out!
Spring Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

Cap Sleeve Top (I have in yellow & white!), Linen Pants, Linen Pants (from Nordstrom), Linen Pants (similar), Mesh EspadrillePhone Case

This cap sleeve top is so good! I immediately bought it in two colors because I know I will live in it this spring and summer! It’s just a perfect fitted summer tee with a little detail on the collar and sleeves that dresses it up a bit more than a regular top.

Spring Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

I snapped this pic quick to show you a closer look of the earrings I’ve been loving lately too! Perfect size of hoop with just enough sparkle. Also this butterfly necklace has been my go-to for years. But you know that. :)

2 – PAIGE PANTS

Spring Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

Cap Sleeve Top, Drawstring Pants (on sale), Drawstring Pants, Flats (taupe suede), HandbagPhone Case

Another item I keep wearing on repeat are these cute Paige pants! I’ve always loved this style of Paige jean with the drawstring and bought them in green a few years ago. They are such a cute fit and perfect for days when you want to dress up but still be casual. I love them with these flats and wearing the same cap sleeve top I shared above.. all so comfortable! Perfect outfit to add a pop of green with my new birthday purse. :)

Spring Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

Same look with another cute free people top. Love the style and button detail. It comes in other colors too!

3 – SMOCKED TOPS

Spring Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

Smocked Tee Madewell, Smocked Tee also at Nordstrom, Mary Jane FlatPaige Canyon Bootcut Jeans Petite, Regular Paige Canyon Jeans, Phone Case

Closer look at the cute smocked top I shared a few posts back! Another top on repeat. I have it in green too and I have really got to stop buying the same top in multiple colors! I order options to try with the intent to return one and then love both options and the return never happens.. ha.
Spring Fashion (Sunny Side Up)
Also a closer look at this smocked top! This is my size in the regular fit.
Spring Fashion (Sunny Side Up)
This is my size in the petite fit so a little more cropped. Again.. keeping them both. :)

4 – FOR THE LOVE OF DENIM

Spring Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

I’ve never been able to pass up a cute denim top! Love this one above and I rounded up other cute options below. A couple of them are on their way. :)

5 – FLORAL TOP

Spring Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

Peplum Top, Mary Jane FlatPaige Canyon Bootcut Jeans Petite, Regular Paige Canyon Jeans, Phone Case

Cutest floral top for spring!

6 – SNEAKERS

Spring Fashion (Sunny Side Up)

If you’re in cold weather and having a hard time thinking cap sleeve tops at the moment this long sleeve top was on repeat during February! It’s comfy and casual and perfect with sneakers. I’m hoping I’ll get to wear it more if it cools off again around here! I linked some other cute sneakers I’m seeing on line below and then also sharing some fun round-ups!

Enjoy your Sunday and have a great start to your week! :)

Spring/Easter Porch

Spring Porch (Sunny Side Up)

Jute Rug, Striped Rug, Planter Baskets, Rattan Bunny, Rattan Flower Holder, Faux Tulips, Faux Olive Tree, Faux Camellia Tree, Faux Camellia Tree Duo, Faux Camellia Tree Duo (similar), Spanish Moss

Spring is officially here! It has been mid 80’s on the coast all week so I actually feel like I should say summer is officially here! It’s so warm for this time of year and all of this sun is inspiring a re-fresh of my outdoor spaces. Kicking things off with the porch! Just like the Easter table I recently shared I kept things neutral with browns and greens. Feels like spring!

Spring Porch (Sunny Side Up)

Jute Rug, Striped Rug, Planter Baskets, Rattan Bunny, Rattan Flower Holder, Faux Tulips, Faux Olive Tree, Faux Camellia Tree, Faux Camellia Tree Duo, Faux Camellia Tree Duo (similar), Spanish Moss

I added my pretty camellia trees next to the faux olive trees and absolutely love the combo together. They look so real! I’m so impressed with and excited about both of these faux plants! They look a lot more expensive than they actually were.

Part of what gives the illusion of real plants is using large planters. These rattan planter baskets are so beautiful! I actually bought them around Christmas and have been so excited to use them. I filled them with some spanish moss and they just elevated the entire porch.

Spring Porch (Sunny Side Up)

Grapevine Bunny

But the real star of the show? The adorable grapevine bunnies. :) TOO CUTE!

Spring Porch (Sunny Side Up)

Rattan Bunny

The best part is that they light up at night! You can set a timer and they twinkle. Just a touch of evening magic! I’m a fan. There is a whole collection that goes with them of other fun Easter items. I love just a touch of Easter with the bunnies!

Spring Porch (Sunny Side Up)

Jute Rug, Striped Rug

I also adore this striped rug! It’s hard to tell in this pic but it has tans in it too and is a beautiful outdoor option. I had a few other rugs I was looking at and decided I would order this rug first and return it and try the others if I didn’t like it. I was so pleased when it arrived and was even better than expected!

*Funny side story.. this rug was another choice and I had to laugh when I googled green and white plaid rug and this image popped up!  Well now I know what it looks like on my porch! This happens all the time where I see my pictures being used in crazy ways on the internet! It can be a little maddening (and is totally illegal!) but this time it just made me laugh because I was looking for a rug for my porch! And there was the rug.. on my porch. Ha ha. Also thank you SO MUCH to everyone who points things like this out to me! I get so many sweet emails an IG DM’s from all of you saying “wanted to let you know that someone is using your picture here..” It always means a lot that you are looking out for me!

spring porch (sunny side up blog)

I also ordered this cute floral door mat to go over the green rug but it’s taking its sweet time getting here! I’ll share it as soon as it comes. If I don’t like it layered over the striped rug I’ll set it in front of one of my side porch doors.

Spring Porch (Sunny Side Up)

Rattan Flower Basket, Faux Tulips

This simple rattan flower basket is perfect to hold faux tulips or any fax flowers you love!

Now that my porch is ready it officially feels like spring at our house!

Spring Easter Table (and a new rug/sale!)

Spring Easter Table (Sunny Side Up)

I hope you had a nice weekend and a good start to your week! We were home all weekend because Kenny had shoulder surgery. A minor surgery but we cleared the calendar for it and it was actually so nice! It’s rare that the two of us have a weekend with nothing going on and we loved having some down time together. While my patient napped I also got a few organizing projects done that I’ve been wanting to finish (win!). I took some quick phone pics of my Easter table to share too! I usually set it up on the table in our formal dining room but that table was covered in pantry items so I set it up in our dining nook. (Lots of organizing going on around here!)

Spring Easter Table (Sunny Side Up)

It’s so simple but I love it! I also love this neutral table runner because it will work with any and all colors. The white in it feels light and bright for spring!

Spring Easter Table (Sunny Side Up)Bunny Plates, Napkin Rings, Woven Cups (similar), Scalloped Plates (similar), Napkins, Woven Placemats

I found these cute bunny plates on Amazon for a great price and they are adorable! You get a pink, green, blue and purple in each set. A friend of mine came over and saw them and immediately ordered some too.

Spring Easter Table (Sunny Side Up)

Then I added these fun napkins and napkin rings because I love this shade of green. Also talk about adorable.. the bunny napkin rings! I believe they are on sale at the moment too and will go quickly!

Spring Easter Table (Sunny Side Up)Table Runner, Bunny Plates, Utensil Caddy, Napkin Rings, Small Bunny, Big Bunny, Ruffle Vase, Silverware (similar), Woven Cups (similar), Scalloped Plates (similar), Napkins, Woven Placemats, Faux Peonies

I think this spot at the table will be mine. :)

Spring Easter Table (Sunny Side Up)Table Runner, Bunny Plates, Utensil Caddy, Napkin Rings, Small Bunny, Big Bunny, Ruffle Vase, Silverware (similar), Woven Cups (similar), Scalloped Plates (similar), Napkins, Woven Placemats, Faux Peonies

The vase is a long time favorite and I especially love these faux peonies! This is just one pack of 6 and they are so pretty. Add a couple of bunnies and we are all set for Easter! I love setting a spring table like this and just leaving it up for a month. It forces us to use the nice dishes and not just save them for special occasions. Makes every day feel like a party. I can get on board with that. :)

These flower napkin rings are also so sweet for spring.

In other news, I swung by Serena and Lily today to check out a rug I found on-line and have been debating for my family room. While I have loved our family room rug so much it has seen better days. Lots of wear and tear and I’m ready for something new!

Spring Easter Table (Sunny Side Up)

Let’s just say I stayed a big longer than I planned! Beautiful.

Spring Easter Table (Sunny Side Up)

Castellane Rug

They are having their spring design event through Wednesday (20-25% off everything!) so I knew if I was going to get this rug I needed to make a decision quickly. I have been looking at lots of options on-line for a while and was leaning towards this but wanted to see it in person. So happy because I liked it even more! It has the same neutral look as my PB wool/jute rug but even softer to walk on. It’s gorgeous!

I ordered the rug and spend some time looking around. Those rattan pendants!

Sunday 6

Sunday Six (Sunny Side Up)

Happy Sunday! Two things to kick off our week! For starters I turned 49 last week! Wow.. how quickly the last year in my 40’s snuck up! So grateful for another beautiful year. I’m also grateful that Addison’s college Spring Break always lines up with my birthday week so I get the whole family together to celebrate! Second thing – I’m mixing up my weekend posts and switching from Saturday 6 and the Sunday Edit to one blog post that will go out on Sunday called Sunday 6. It will include my 6 things and then the weekly round-ups all in one post! My goal is to get another post or two up each week and to keep the six things I’m sharing on Sunday a little shorter. Saturday 6 was always supposed to just be 6 quick pictures of favorites I’m loving but I’m so long winded it turned into a weekly novel with all the things going on around here. Ha! Let’s see if I can be more concise and pop in more often! Change is always a good thing right? If this change isn’t we’ll change it again. Even at 49 years old I’m tricky like that. :)

Sunday Six (Sunny Side Up)

Love my friends! We had a quick lunch to celebrate with whoever could make it. I also love that I’ve had enough birthday lunches and get togethers and holiday parties with everyone that my friends are all friends with each other now too. Some of them already were but now they all are. :)

1 – SMOCKED TOPS

Sunday Six (Sunny Side Up)

Smocked Top (all colors)

Moving on to 6 things I’m loving because I’m keeping this post short right!? I love this smocked top so much! I wasn’t sure how it fit so I ordered it in 3 colors and 3 sizes and laughed because I want to keep them all as is! I got the white in my size but petite and it’s darling as more of a cropped top. It barely touches the top of my really high waisted jeans. I ordered the blue in xs regular and it fits perfect too.. short but not as cropped so I would say this top is true to size. I ordered the navy in small (one size up) and the sleeves and length are just a little longer so it works as more of a full length top. I’m wearing the navy in the family pic above.

Sunday Six (Sunny Side Up)

5 of us wore white tops to lunch so we had to get a pic! Must be spring. :) The white top I’m wearing is a different smocked top I’m also loving! I have it in green too. It’s Madewell but you can also buy it at Nordstrom. My jeans are also a newer favorite.. I got them in my regular size but petite for length. Two of my friends had on this puff sleeved top from Amazon and it looks EXACTLY like one from Anthro. Comes in lots of cute colors too! We’re all buying it!

2 – PERSONALIZED GIFTS

Sunday Six (Sunny Side Up)

I will have to share all the cute gifts my friends spoiled me with at some point but in the spirit of keeping things shorter (see.. I’m trying!) I’ll just share a couple of personalized gifts that I loved! One was this cute cosmetic bag. I thought it was from a local boutique or something but nope.. Amazon for the win again! I love that it has my birth year on it and it’s so cute and colorful. A thoughtful and unique personalized gift that I will absolutely use to hold make-up and all sorts of things. I had to share that little gem of an idea! (Also the cute green purse above is from Anthro. Anyone who knows me at all knows that something green or from Anthro is another easy win!)

Sunday Six (Sunny Side Up)

Another cute personalized gift idea! I love blow pop suckers and eat one almost every night. Popcorn and a sucker is my usual movie night treat and a few of my friends discovered this a couple of years and thought it was so funny. When I opened this it just made me laugh! My friend who gave me this gave me another fun “real” gift with it, but guess which gift meant the most and I’ll always remember? It reminded me that personalized gifts are special and they don’t need to be expensive or elaborate. They remind you of a connection and make you feel seen and understood and loved. All that from a bag of blow pop suckers. Where’s the watermelon or strawberry? They are my favorite. :)

3 – SPRING TRAY

Sunday Six (Sunny Side Up)

This tray is so beautiful! Pricey and not very large (and this is the large size) but it’s so pretty and I love the bamboo handles! I keep moving it around my house and trying it in new spots.

4 – FAVORITE JUTE PORCH RUG

Sunday Six (Sunny Side Up)Jute Handwoven Rug

I started decorating my porch for spring and will share it soon! I pulled out this long time favorite porch rug and still love it as much as I did when I first discovered it years ago! It’s so beautiful and a perfect neutral base for layering other fun rugs and door mats on top each season.

5 – BEST FAUX TREES

Sunday Six (Sunny Side Up)Faux Olive Tree

I’m always mixing up the faux trees on my porch and have ordered many faux trees from Amazon. I’ve returned my fair share too! This tree is honestly one of the best I’ve seen. I’m so happy with it! Incredibly realistic and exactly what I was looking for. I quickly ordered one more for my porch and am debating ordering a third to put inside my house because I like it even more than a few I have inside. This is the 7 foot!

6 – PILL ORGANIZER

Sunday Six (Sunny Side Up)

Pill Organizer

I’ve had this pill organizer for a while in the color green but after organizing my bathroom drawers so pretty I wanted something more asthetic that didn’t show my supplements through it! Loving this. I must be 49 if I’m talking about pretty pill organizers. Ha! Leaning in and not looking back. ;)

Have the best start to your week and enjoy the cute spring decor and favorite round-ups below!

Sunday Edit (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Happy Sunday! Saturday was a doors open kind of day and I felt so productive! The girls are home so it was a great mix of some down time with them (we went on a walk and got our nails done) and then they did some homework and laid out by the pool while I finished some organizing. Kenny and I dropped off a few bags of things to donate too. 2026 is the year of less around here and I am working so hard to simplify and donate items we just aren’t using anymore. Always feels so good right!? I’m sharing a few things I’m loving lately, Easter basket ideas, spring stems, coffee table books, and your favorites from last week! I hope you are having a good weekend and survive the time change! Hard to lose that hour but YEA for longer light filled evenings!

Saturday 6

1 – BRING ON THE LEMONS

Spring Shoes (Sunny Side Up)
Happy Saturday! I hope you had a good week! This is a quick screenshot from a video I filmed because I forgot to take a picture when I was making this lemon arrangement for the weekend.. ha! If you need a pick me up lemons always do the trick! So do hydrangeas. The two combined are even better. :)
Lemon Hydrangea arrangement (Sunny Side Up)
Addison just got here for part of her spring break and El is sleeping over while she’s here.. I’m so excited for a few days with my girls! I wanted something happy in the kitchen while they are home and this vase of lemons and hydrangeas did the trick. I’ve had this pretty marble bowl out again for spring. It’s such a favorite! It was a gift from Kenny a couple of years ago that I might have mentioned I wanted a time or ten. Sometimes he needs a little direction and I’m always happy to give it to him. :)
Lemon Hydrangea arrangement (Sunny Side Up)
So pretty. I love the way the limes make the hydrangea leaves pop!
Lemon Hydrangea arrangement (Sunny Side Up)

I also styled this fun arrangement in a scalloped tray next to some bunny plates I ordered for spring and Easter. Also cute! Lemons, hydrangeas, rattan and scallop trim – 4 of my favorite things. I can’t decide which way I like this set up better (scalloped tray or marble bowl) so things will be on rotation around here!

So basically nothing new. :)

2 – BUNNY TRAY

I’ve had so much fun pulling out things for spring and Easter! This rattan bunny tray is another recent favorite. TOO CUTE. I tied a pink bow to add a little something but might switch to a pastel green because I have more green in my kitchen. Regardless it’s an easy way to add some Easter charm!
Bunny Serving Tray (Sunny Side Up)
The bunny trays come as a set of two. I’m using the smaller tray for decor behind my cooktop and I’ll use the larger bunny tray for entertaining. So cute holding these plates and the spring utensil caddy! (Plates are the sweetest and remind me of reading Peter Rabbit books growing up!) This would also be cute holding lots of small bowls full of Easter candy. There are so many fun ways to use these trays!
Bunny Serving Tray (Sunny Side Up)
Plate swap. :)

3 – SPRING SHOES

Favorite neutral spring shoes on repeat! I ordered so many to try and these are my top pics! They all passed the test for looking good and feeling good. 10/10!
I’ve had both of these Mary Janes for a while and wear them all the time! They are so comfortable and go with everything.
I’m still debating which pair to keep out of these two options and want both! They are such cute espadrilles with just enough of a heel to give a little height but still SO comfortable to walk in!
Another cute flat option! These are on the narrow side which I love because I have narrow feet, but I wanted to mention that if you don’t! They are also very comfortable and so cute for spring!
I bought these Lucia Mary Janes a few months ago and they are unbelievably comfortable! They come in so many fun color options and have a cute side buckle. I have Taupe Suede and they go with everything. Do the other sandals look familiar? The new version of the slides I buy every summer. Always soft and comfortable and easy to slip on and go when it’s sunny outside!

Really you can’t go wrong with any of these fun shoes for spring! My friends all see the shoes in my closet and tell me I need more color, but I’m a neutral shoe girl at heart. :)

4 – OUTDOOR PLANTS

My cute topiary trees came in and they are so realistic! I’m very happy with them and excited to use them outside. Still playing around with a few things on my spring porch and I don’t know where these will land, but I will definitely be using them somewhere. I love real plants but could never go back to real on my porch! They just don’t last with all of the shade and it’s so nice that everything stays alive and looking great through summer travel.

5 – ORGANIZED PANTS

Organized Closet (Sunny Side Up)

Pant HangersDividers

Closet progress is slow but coming along. I only have time to work on it here and there but it’s ok! I’m focusing more on really going through everything vs. quickly finishing which is what I did last time and the reason I just have too many clothes in this space that I’m not wearing! I went through my jeans and this is what I’m keeping!

Organized Closet (Sunny Side Up)

Pant HangersDividers

The pant hangers are a DREAM. How have I not had these in my life all along!? Not only do they look amazing, but they make it so easy to take pants off and put them on! The jeans stay in place on the hanger but GLIDE when you slide them off. Plus they take up so much less space! I’m a fan. I’m also using these dividers for my jeans and know they will help me get ready quickly and keep things organized.

Organized Closet (Sunny Side Up)

Label Maker

I’m using my long time favorite label maker to add labels to the dividers separating cropped and regular length jeans and also my cropped and regular length colored pants. I usually decide on what pants I’m wearing first when I get dressed! That always determines my shoes and top. If they are cropped and high waisted pants I’m wearing different shoes/top than if I’m wearing full length jeans that aren’t as high waisted. It’s more complicated with so many options these days right!? Ha! I usually get my cropped jeans mixed in with full length and then spend too long searching for a certain pair when I’m getting dressed. Very excited about my new system. :)

Organized Closet (Sunny Side Up)

Pant HangersDividers, Grey Shirt Hangers

This section is done and I’m moving on to the right section and drawers next!

6 – THE BEST SUMMER HAT

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

My all time favorite summer hat is on major sale this weekend! I’ve never seen it marked down this low and I’m seriously tempted to order another one in case anything happens to this because I’ve had it for years and wear it so much! It really keeps the sun off your face and has a flattering shape for a large hat like this. It’s lightweight and easy to pack too. I’ve tried so many similar straw hats and this is hands down my favorite and most worn. Happy some of you will get it for so much less than I paid!

Signing off and wishing you a sunny weekend! :)

Sunday Edit on a Monday!

Happy March! (Sunny Side Up)

Happy March! Sharing favorites I’ve been rounding up and sharing over the past couple of weeks on IG! Everything you’re loving and new things on-line that I’m loving. There are so many cute things coming out for Easter! And spring clothes and decor. It was 86 degrees here on Saturday and the sun is so motivating isn’t it!? I wanted to spring clean EVERYTHING. So I organized another section of my closet.. ha. Not quite everything but progress. YEA March! Bring on the sun and enjoy your week!

Saturday 6 (there’s always March)

1 – NEW CUSHIONS

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Happy Saturday! Sharing some randomness around here to wrap up February! I have to say that despite our sunny weather the past two months, January and February have felt like a bit of a slog. They just tend to be harder months right!? Also I’ve been going through some lovely hormonal changes this year (I’m sure many of you around the same age can relate!) and I just haven’t felt like myself. I have to say that I’m not mad at all about March rolling around. Bring on spring and better days ahead!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

I’m feeling especially ready for spring after looking at fabric for new outdoor cushions this week! We’ve had our outdoor furniture for 13 years now (since we built our house!). The furniture is from Restoration Hardware and has held up great, but the cushions have seen better days. Lots of wear and tear and some cushions have holes from mice burrowing in them – YIKES. Time to replace them!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

I looked at so many fabric options and narrowed it down to these two. Going lighter than what I chose last time! I looked at the samples in the yard during different times of the day to see how the lighting changed them.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

I snapped this right before the sunset one evening. I went with the color CHALK on the left. It’s a pretty neutral that has some grey tones in it that I think will work well with the furniture and our yard.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

It will take a couple of months to get the new cushions in so until then I’m dreaming about a new outdoor rug for my entertaining area and of course a cute new pillow or two. Below are some of my favorite outdoor rug options if you’re looking too!

2 – RECENT FINDS

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Quick dressing room selfie and I’m looking a little cross eyed.. (ha) but how cute are these sweats!? I tried them on and love them but they are a little pricey so I didn’t bring them home. Now I’m having regrets! Such a cute and comfortable set.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

This canvas bag also caught my eye. So cute for spring/summer!
Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

It’s the same shape as my beloved coach bag and I have loved this size/style. It’s just big enough to fit everything I like to tote around! Below are a few other cute new things I saw that I’m debating for spring!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

A fun recent order! These towels are on repeat at my house. The large size and hand towels are in every bathroom in my house. I’ve found it’s easiest to just keep everything white and the same and when they start to look bad they are affordable enough to donate and buy more.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Utensil Caddy

Also how cute is this utensil caddy!? Summer perfection.

3 – GLOW SERUM

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Ok.. speaking of things I’m loving this time of year. This glow serum is so good! I’ve been mixing a little of this bronze with my Sheer Renewal Cream each morning and it gives me such a sun-kissed glow! Friends have told me my skin looks good and this is my recent secret. :) If you use the code ERIN20 at check out you can get 20% off this serum or any other CR produts! Let me know if you try it and love it too!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

I just got more of the Radiant Cleansing Balm in the mail too. Such a good cleanser! You can find it on the CR website under Best Sellers.

4 – ORGANIZATION ATTEMPTS/CLOSET TIPS

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

I mentioned above not feeling like myself lately. I am having such a hard time finishing projects! Brain fog is at an all time high! I completely emptied my whole pantry and scrubbed every shelf. Then I put some of the food back and got busy with other things and still haven’t put it back together.. ha! Instead of finishing it Thursday when I had some time..

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

I did a deep dive into my closet because it was driving me crazy and started pulling it apart and doing a massive clean out. SIGH. I’m so sorry. I have nothing fun to share that’s actually finished. Just lots of messes and half way done projects. I’m making myself finish both this weekend! I have a lot of fun decorating going on too but it’s all just half way done. March is the month that I get my act back together. At least that’s what I’m telling myself. :)

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

I know I just cleaned out my closet last year but while it has stayed mostly clean, it feels majorly overstuffed. I’m just so over having clothes hanging in my closet that I never wear! I don’t think I really donated enough last year. So I started again this week one section at a time. Here is the BEFORE of my dresses (look at the hangers so closely together!).

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

And the AFTER. My dresses can breathe! And so can I.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Pausing on buying another green dress this spring. ;)

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Donation pile. Feels so good to only keep the dresses I really love and wear!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Tips I’ve learned from closet organization. I feel like last year I did a good 80% job, but this year I’m being ruthless and REALLY cleaning things out. To be continued. When I get my act together. In March.

5/6 – LIFE IN FEBRUARY

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

The rest of this post is a major picture dump wrapping up the month! Lots of fun things in February despite my emotional roller coasters and brain fog. ;) I took this fun tray to a Super Bowl party. Very last minute but it felt like a party with my pepperoni and cheese football. A Super Bowl staple for me!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

So is my “I just hope both teams have fun” tee.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Super Bowl squares made the game so much more fun. Kenny and I won the jackpot at the end! I think we walked away with $20 after what we donated but you would have thought it was a million from our excitement.. ha. Definitely playing that more during games next fall.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Lots of travel going on so far this year. Kenny has been going non stop for work and then the last two weekends we were traveling together. He teases me about my suitcase cover but my suitcase looks so clean and new! Tease away! I’m the one winning this game. ;)

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

We spent Valentine’s Day in Palm Springs and it was so nice to have some time together after he was gone so much in January. This cute cover-up was perfect for the pool and will be on repeat this summer with my favorite mesh bag. It’s so easy to fold and pack!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Bikini Top / Textured Straw Hat

This favorite bikini top and hat are both on sale! I snapped this to send a friend who asked how I was doing. Sitting poolside eating my Skinny Pop while my friend was doing a water workout class. Ha. I told her I’d sit this one out and supervise.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Tank (similar), Leggings

Morning workout time.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Despite my hormonal ups and downs the past two months I’ve been proud of myself for sticking to my treadmill goal! It’s not a crazy workout. I’m not doing anything that fascinating. But I’ve been consistent with it and I feel stronger.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

I’ve also been consistent with my turkey sandwich eating. Some things never change.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Similar Jumpsuits

We enjoyed time with good friends.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Similar Dresses

And I’m always grateful for time alone with him. It was a perfect weekend!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

The next weekend we were on the go again heading to Texas!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Sidenote: the San Diego airpot has been getting a major makeover and I’m loving it! Everything is so beautiful and clean! Kenny was waiting for me and meanwhile I’m out of the bathroom and just taking some time to admire the tile. :)

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Navy Dress (similar), Raffia Slides, Ruffle Dress (similar)

We got to spend the whole weekend with this one! On the agenda was a mother/daughter sorority get together. I loved meeting so many of her cute friends and their moms!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Then Kenny, Ad and I enjoyed some time on her campus and eating out at her favorite spots.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Magnolia Home

We hit my favorite Waco spot too of course. Magnolia was ready for spring!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

Citrus Stems

Bring on the lemons.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

We got to see her sing and perform again too. We packed a lot in one weekend!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up)

I’ll never get used to saying good-bye to my kids and not bringing them back home with me! We snapped this right before a few tears were shed. But we’re all proud of ourselves for recovering quicker each time and her spring break is right around the corner! Always a silver lining.

There’s always March.

:)

Spring Favorites

Spring Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

Acrylic Vase, Faux Hydrangeas

Valentine’s Day is over so it’s officially spring right!? Maybe not quite but I’m there in my head! We spent last weekend in Palm Springs and it was so sunny and beautiful! Came home to rain but I’m holding on to that sunshine and pulling out all of my spring decor!

Spring Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

Small Bunny, Large Bunny

I picked up a few cute things at Target to integrate into my decor. I can’t ever resist their rattan bunnies! So cute with pink bows this year.

Last year I added these fun items to the bunny baskets for my college girls!

Spring Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

I also created a variety of cute cards you can download to add to gifts! Easter, Mother’s Day, Birthday, Spring and Thank you cards. You can download them all HERE.

This large cream vase I bought last year is back in stock! It quickly became a favorite because of the color and size and shape (love that it’s narrow at the top!)

Spring Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

2025 Easter Table Sources

I’m also excited to get my Easter table set up! I like to set it up early and then we can use it a few times and when friends come over before Easter. Plus it’s just fun to see the bunnies out for a couple of months!

So many spring favorites! I have some fun things planned for this spring but had to share these long time favorites first since they will be popping up again in my home. Bring on the sun and flowers and bunnies!

Always a good thing. :)
