Back to School Organization (on the news!)

Hi friends!  I was on the Fox 5 San Diego news again this morning!  Talking about one of my all time favorite subjects: Back to School Organization baby!  You can check it out here.  I’ll be back soon with a full post on this beloved topic.  :)

p.s.  If you missed us on the news last time you can see our segment on Sibling Love here.  Yes today was just as intimidating as it was the first time around!  But the topic helped put me at ease.  :)

xoxo, Erin

  1. I rarely comment here, but I love this! It’s just so much fun to see how other moms’ organize. I have a great system, but I’m coming away with a few new ideas. Fun! ;)

  2. You are such a natural at being on camera! So happy to see you getting recognized for your amazing organization skills! They need to give you your own show. Seriously! Yay, you!

  3. Erin – you are AMAZING! Such a great job (and I love seeing the live-action versions of your organizers. They are mini-celebrities themselves : )). I just came from school supply shopping today, but I know that just scratches the surface. Thanks so much for putting it all in one place!

  4. That was so great! I agree. I think they should have you on every morning!! Great tips.

I always use to write notes on napkins for my kids. I have also done it for Jeremy.

Keep up the great work! :)

  5. Haven’t commented FOREVER, but Erin it’s time for me to chime in and say YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Quietly following you, but loving everything you share! Miss you my dear!

  6. Erin you are a rock star Mom! I love you! Such great ideas! My first child Noah goes to 4k in September. Love everything u set up! Amy in Wisconsin, lifestorieswithamy.blogspot.com

  7. It’s so fun for me to read your blog and see you on the local news! I think it’s great for you. And everyone who gets clued in on your wonderful ideas in SD County! Love your organization ideas :)

  8. Erin, I have been reading your blog for a while. I love your segment on the news. AWESOME ideas that we are implementing. Thank you!

  9. That was great Erin! You didn’t seem nervous at all and you look fabulous! Love all the tips. I think you are going to become a regular “contributor” to Fox 5! How about a segment on moving with kids next. I am in awe of how you are accomplishing so much AND finishing up the details of your new home. I think I can only focus on one thing at a time or I lose my mind. Have a great day!

  10. Hey, Erin!

You were GREAT!!! You seemed like a natural. I really enjoyed the segment and it gave me some great ideas. Hope you are enjoying your summer and are getting excited for your new home!

  11. Wow – you are a regular now! So cool – great tips. Linking it to my work blog where we are focusing on back to school organizing!

  12. Erin, I can’t wait to see the news segment you did on back to school organizing! I loved the last news segment you did on siblings getting along, and you are a natural in front of the camera; for that matter, so are your girls!! I am so glad that my niece introduced me to your blog a couple of years ago; she & I are both organizers at heart and love reading about it!! Congratulations on being a STAR!!!

  13. K – you all are spoiling me with these sweet comments! Thank you so much! I loved hearing from each one of you. So much fun! I’m thrilled the news segment gave a few of you some ideas! Thank you all for your kind words!

Lori – do not be fooled! I lost my mind long ago. :)

  14. Okay, I just watched this! Seriously, Erin, you are such a natural. You should have your own show. You should!! Hey, I’d tune in for it each day. I think you could do like a 5-minute little segment each day on the morning news…kind of like how they cut to the weather in the new. After the weather they could cut to you! “Okay, and next we have Erin from The Sunny Side Up Blog, and today she’s going to show us a smart yet fun way to organize our kitchen pantry….Erin?” and the camera would pan over to you, and there you’d be, all smiles, standing front of a staged pantry. Seriously, I think people would tune in everyday to get your quick tips on the morning news. Why don’t you pitch it to someone there on that show? I bet they’d consider it!

  15. Ha ha… Katrina! You crack me up! If only I had as much confidence in myself as you do for me! :) Thank you sweet friend. I don’t think an “Erin” show is in the works, but I’m honored you would tune in if there was one. :)

Thanks Mary Beth! I was stressed about what to wear! :)
