Glimpses of Christmas

{Christmas At Home}

Letters, cookies and milk for Santa. Cheese for Santa Mouse.

Letter from Santa

{Christmas At Mom’s}

(25 WEEKS)

(Mom and Dad)

{Insert the only NOT so fun part of my Christmas vacation. Shortly after the above pictures were taken I went to lunch with my family and then my mom and I went shopping. We were in the parking lot of a store when I stepped wrong and dislocated my left knee (this has happened to me countless times – both of my knee caps pop out of place every now and again). This was a bad one and I fell flat on the pavement with most of my weight landing on my left elbow. I was in a lot of pain and nearly passed out so my mom took me to the ER. We were both worried about what the fall did to the baby and thankfully the baby is fine. I, however, cracked a bone in my arm and my knee is swollen the size of a grapefruit leaving me pretty much immobile. I can kinda limp around with one crutch with my one good arm on my one good leg. Good times. My family has been great to help Kenny with the girls and hopefully everything will heal soon.}

We were going to go to lunch with friends the day after my little accident but since I couldn’t go, they picked up sandwiches and came to me. :)

Aside from my injuries I had a wonderful Christmas. I have the greatest friends. I have the best family. I love my husband and girls. I can’t wait to meet my little boy. I can’t wait to take pictures with my new lens. I can’t wait for my knee and arm to heal. I can’t wait to not be pregnant anymore. I can’t wait for 2010. Bring it on. Happy New Year everyone!
xoxo, Erin

  1. Erin, you got some fun gifts! Perfect for the aspiring professional photographer!

    So sorry about your fall. That is such a bummer. How nice of everyone to come have lunch with you.

    I am here to help you when you get home!

    Happy New Year!

  2. You are so loved by so many people!!! I remember this happening in HS once, right? Heal up little mama!!!! The belly is ADORABLE!!!!!!

  3. Oh No! I am so sorry about your fall and injuries. That’s terrible and scary, esp. when you are pregnant. You are so cute pregnant, by the way.

  4. Oh boy (no pun intended). Yeh, that is the Erin I remember with the constant knee brace. I always remember wondering how you tolerated that all the time. I’m so sorry it still troubles you. Cool tripod for the photog. You’ve got skills. You seem to try to anticipate a moment, or else everyone you shoot can strike one heck of a pose. Either way, I like your style. Thank you for keeping the pictures true and not overprocessing them to death.

  5. Hi Erin! I hope you are doing okay, that sounds so scary. I hope you are getting all the help you need.

    How fun to have your parents with you for Christmas.

  6. Erin, I love how organized Santa is at your house! Wow- all those gifts arranged just so perfectly…he must know you well! The girls must’ve been extra good too, looks like they got pretty loaded!

    Madi was looking at your post with me and saw the pic of your Mom (great pic of her btw! and nice photography on your part!) and said, “remember they have a swimming pool at their house” and started talking about our swimming day there. I thought it was so cute she remembered her!

    Glad you guys had a wonderful Christmas! And I am SO sorry about your injuries! I still can’t believe that happened! LOVED seeing you! How did we not take a picture? We must have been tired. Love you!

  7. p.s. love the new look on the blog! And I was laughing at the pic of Kenny in his red shorts! Those dang things! Just pick them up Kenny! :)

  8. Christmas looked so fun at your house!! Santa really leaves things nice and tidy there!! It was so good to see you. I am so sorry about your poor knee and arm. I hope that you are feeling better. Your belly is so cute. I am so glad I got to see it! I will have to snatch the picture from you of all of us girls. It turned out really cute. You can’t even tell that you were dying of pain in it! Love ya!

  9. Well looks like it would have been a perfect Christmas had there not been the knee accident. I’m glad the baby was okay and that you were still able to carry on activities over the holiday.

    Dear Ellie and Addison-
    Please try the snow again in warm clothes. Snow is only fun when you’re warm, but still cry so you can have marshmallows.
