We just wrapped up our first Pumpkins and Pajamas Party and I’m happy to report that it was a success! Over the summer Katy and I decided we wanted to start hosting together more. We need more fun and joy and opportunities to see our friends during this stage of life and why not be the people to make it happen!? We had a small outdoor dinner at my house in June and decided for the fall party we would invite a larger group and have everyone bring something so that it didn’t feel too stressful! Pajamas felt necessary because it’s fall and what better time to be cozy? But let’s be real.. I could come up with an excuse to wear pjs for any season. :)
Before we blinked the party was a day away and we literally had done NOTHING.. ha! Katy had been in London the week before and then she came home and I left for Texas. We both got home and before we knew it we were scrambling. We made some mad dash Amazon orders and I created the fall tablescape I shared yesterday. Then I started loading up my car with anything fall I could find. I should have snapped a pic with it all (this was just the beginning) because I took so much to her house. My car was a fall explosion!

The day of the party came and we hustled. Katy made her delicious chili and cornbread while I got the tables set up!

We were going to use these jars for a gift for everyone to take home and ran out of time so thinking we’ll do something with them for Christmas! Aren’t they cute to fill with a snack!?
Pjs on and it’s show time. :) Sidenote.. these striped pj pants are my latest obsession! LOVE them! They are so fun and baggy but still cute and flattering. I see more patterns in my future. I just layered two tanks for the top because I knew I would be hot running around. We had the air blasting all night. Welcome to fall in San Diego!

For a parting gift I gave everyone my Fall Watchlist! I put this together randomly just for me because there are so many fun favorite shows I want to rewatch this fall. Then I made it a printable so I could share it with all of you! (Download it HERE!) Then when our takeaway gift didn’t happen I printed them for my friends too. Some of these movies like Labyrinth and Princess Bride just remind me of my childhood (I should have added Neverending Story.. remember that one!?). Others are just fun for Halloween time or pure fall comfort movies like a good book. Hello When Harry Met Sally. :)
Everyone had so much fun we want to make it a yearly tradition! Just as guests were leaving our cute pumpkin plates and platters arrived. It never fails!
