A touch of fall in the kitchen

A touch of Fall in the kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

Woven Pumpkins / Fall Art (similar)

September is in full swing and it feels so good to be in our routine again! I love this month. Aside from feeling like a fresh start (still working my way through this list!) it’s also a month that makes me want to focus on really enjoying each day. This fall I’m lighting the good candles, using the good dishes and wearing my good clothes! Life is happening now and I want to enjoy every boring minute of it. :) I’m starting this by making my home feel extra cozy!

I’m adding my pumpkin lights inside every pumpkin to get that cozy glow at night. Always so welcome when it starts getting dark early!

This is about all the Halloween that’s happening around here.. ha. I tend to lean more into cozy fall than spooky/scary but couldn’t pass up this cute gold cobweb.

Brass trays and cozy fall candles will always be a good thing.

Mugs, Mug Holder

It’s also cozy drink season (bring on the hot chocolate!) so I ordered these pretty mugs and a cute new mug holder to hold them. The colors of these mugs are fall perfection!

Of course they double as cute decor too! I will probably change this shelf 3 more times before Christmas decor comes out but this is what it’s looking like at the moment.

Mugs on my mug holder and I added pears to this pretty glass cloche.

Then my favorite kitchen lamp, a pumpkin candle, faux fall leaves and orange slices. Quintessential fall!

My mini ghost lamp found a new home on top of some books (could he be any more adorable!?) and I added the cutest loopy pumpkins in a pretty woven tray.

My pretty checkered plate matches the checkered rugs in my hallway! Not intentional but I’m not mad about it. My kitchen is feeling almost cozy enough to cook in it! Almost. ;)

Sharing some favorites from last week below because we were traveling over the weekend and I didn’t get my Sunday 6 post up! More coming soon. Enjoy your day and light the good candle! You deserve it. :)

  1. Erin,
OHMYGOSH! We MUST have some relative in common. Probably Dutch too! YES! Time to light the GOOD candles, use the GOOD dishes, wear the GOOD clothes! I agree it IS TIME! I will do that thing of putting something to the backside of a shelf or up high so all can LOOK at the GOOD candle and by the time I finally light it, the scent is not what it was meant to be. Always makes me sad to realize I saved it only to have lost the experience of the true scent as by the time it is lit the scent is badly faded or the cute pumpkin shaped candle (insert pinecone, angel shape, etc.) that I’m afraid to light in fear of losing the shape! I have been trying to use the GOOD dishes and am doing better at that and clothes too! I say to myself ” why should I wear my GOOD white jeans when I’m mucking round the house and cleaning etc. Just this morning BEFORE I got your post, I put on the GOOD white jeans just to muck about and was glad when I ran to Target and ran into an old neighbor(always dressed to the nines BTW) My confidence was up b/c of the choice I made and pretty soon white jeans weather (around here anyway) will be over. I have at least several pairs, capri, flair leg, ankle. I’m gonna wear them ALL in the next couple weeks.I think we get this way from having had dealings with sticky red Lolli pops and aqua blue popsicles, and green strained veggies and squirting bottles and lose top toddler cups and poster paint and broken GOOD dishes that got knocked off the table by an active toddler, etc, etc….. etc, etc etc. I’m lighting the pumpkin shaped candle tonight! I WILL be careful and follow instructions to ONLY burn for a certain period of time the first few times in order to hollow out and save the shape. I have not completely relaxed and thrown caution to the wind! Maybe that will happen down the road if I hear any more of AI taking over human civilization! :-)
PS. Erin, you Fall decor is Heaven! LOVE it ALL!
