1 – SUMMER EVENINGS

Happy Sunday! I love this time of year when spring is moving into summer. Evenings feel longer and summer is on the horizon! Kenny and I love it when we can go on walks as late as 6 or 7 pm. My girls are both home this weekend to celebrate El’s graduation but Ad is leaving again on Monday for two weeks. Counting down until they are all planted home for a couple of months after that! Then summer can really begin. :)
2 – WEARING LATELY

Yellow Fleece Crop Sweatshirt, Anessa Jeans, Similar Jeans, Rag and Bone Sneakers, Similar Sneakers, Butterfly Necklace, Icon Bracelet
A few things I’ve been wearing on repeat lately! May and June are so cloudy and cool in San Diego. Tops like this are perfect for the cool coastal air. This sweatshirt is so cozy and soft! The perfect length for high waisted jeans too.

I’m clearly having a love affair with yellow! This top is also so cute. A fun boxy fit and I love the collar.

This simple black tee is another Target win! A fitted basic I reach for over and over.

Also loving this cute ruffle tank for summer! I just ordered it and it has been too cool to wear it, but by July our gloomy clouds will leave and it will get warm quickly and I’ll be ready. :)

I ordered it in brown too and can’t decide which color to keep! White is better for summer but the brow feels more like me so I have a feeling it will win. Or I’ll just keep them both because that’s usually how I make these tough decisions. It’s a great strategy right up until it’s time to clean out my overstuffed closet again. Ha.
3 – FAVORITE SPORTS BRA

These Beyond Yoga sports bras have become my absolute favorite! I have them in a few colors and ordered a second white and black because I love them so much. They are incredibly comfortable, a cute fit and seamless under tank tops. I’m always a 34 C or D in regular bras and wear size small in these to give you an idea of sizing.
4 – DISPOSAL CLEANER

SO excited to try these disposal cleaner tablets! I love the Washing Machine Cleaner tablets and can’t believe I haven’t tried the disposal tablets before now. These make cleaning things too easy!
5 – LED OMNILUX

Kenny surprised me with this for Mother’s Day and by surprised I mean he finally bought it for me after all the hints I not so subtly dropped.. ha. I have friends who love it and swear it makes a difference when they are consistent. I will try it out and report back if it’s worth the hype!
6 – ORGANIZED DRAWERS

My organizing kick continues and has moved into the kitchen! After giving our mudroom a complete overhaul I started cleaning kitchen drawers.

This drawer wasn’t too bad (I forgot to take a before pic!) but I vacuumed crumbs and did some editing and donated a few things. I like this drawer to only hold items I use often.

BEFORE
This drawer below my oven is for items I need but don’t use as much and it has been out of control! I went through it and donated so many things I’m not using anymore.

AFTER /
SO MUCH BETTER! BBQ items are on the right and other random kitchen items I use once in a while like the potato masher are in the middle. I maybe use that twice a year!? These tall 6″ drawer dividers were perfect for this space. I have either the 4″ or 6″ in most drawers throughout my home and they are hands down one of my favorite organizers.

I had been putting off editing/organizing my dish towel drawer so to make it more appealing I dumped them all out on the couch and went through them while I was watching a movie. Have you seen Greenland? I casually turned it on one night while Kenny was traveling and wow.. did not expect it to be so intense! It was so good and the towel folding calmed my nerves while the world was ending.

Isn’t this drawer happy!? All geometry towels and I’m so excited to not be constantly fishing for them around other towels I don’t like as much! I’ve been collecting them and moved my other dish towels into my laundry room to use for deep cleaning. I wanted this drawer to be just for kitchen hand towels and wasn’t sure where to put my dish cloths and finally decided I wanted them right next to the sink.

BEFORE
But the drawer next to my sink looked like this so I moved candle snuffers to my candle cupboard and cleaned this drawer too.

Much better and much more practical! Organizing one space always leads to another. If you give a mouse a cookie! These little drawer makeovers have inspired me to go through every single drawer and cupboard in my kitchen. It has been years since I’ve gone through them all and it’s time! We’ve been working on cleaning our garage out too and I’ll share pics of it at some point. Spring organizing is my favorite!
Matched only by fall, winter and summer organizing. ;)
Below are some CUTE decor round-ups, your recent favorites and more of my recent favorites (so excited about the plum stems and El’s cute white graduation dress!). Enjoy the rest of your weekend and hang in there moms.. we are half way through May!
