Happy Friday! We made it to the weekend. Easter weekend! How did that sneak up so quickly!? We spent some of this week in Utah visiting my parents and when I saw my mom’s cute house with an empty porch I knew we had to give it a quick spring re-fresh! I wanted to order a few things but shipping was going to take longer than the time we had together so next best thing.. time for a Target run! A few trips around the store and I found some things I was excited about.

I knew my beloved

We had Kenny’s truck but the trees were too long to put in the back so we laid them in the back seat and had some of the top hanging in the front seat with us. We ran through a drive through to get lunch after and my mom snapped this picture because we were laughing.. don’t mind us and our tree leaves over here!

Here is the end result! So simple and so easy and so cute! One Target run later and I’m in love with her new spring porch. I fell hard for the scalloped baskets so I used them to hold the trees. I like the pots the trees come in, but always feel like bigger is better when it comes to porch pots! I will bring some pot filler next time I visit to fill the baskets and I might try adding a couple more pots with some white flowers on the sides. I just didn’t have time to add more this trip!

This outdoor rug! I was seriously giddy when I found it. The colorful stripes are so fun for spring/summer and I love that you can easily pull out green, blue or yellow. I ordered two for my yard and just need to figure out how I’ll use them.. they were too cute to pass up! I really wish it came in a larger size and I would buy it for my entertaining area. (This pattern just comes in a 4×6)

My mom has as rocking bench that she sits on with my dad in the evenings so I added a couple of cute pillows to pull out the green.

I also bought this cute accent rug to possibly layer over the stripe rug, but that was looking too busy so now she has a couple of new rugs in the kitchen.

Clancy likes the new rugs too. :)

Meet my little assistant and partner in crime! It wouldn’t be a trip to Utah without spending time with my sweet niece. She is the cutest and the two of us get along famously. We both love to decorate and every September when she starts talking about Christmas trees my brother and sister-in-law want to ship her to my house for a while. :) She helped me with the porch.

Then we hung out in her fort. :)

Complete with lots of friends and lights that are giving Stranger Things but lit the fort up beautifully.

We wouldn’t have been able to enjoy multiple rounds of Go Fish without them.

It was a beautiful week and I loved spending so much time with my parents.

I miss them! And their house.
That I’m feeling so much better about now that it has a cute rug on the front porch.
:)
