Organized Bathroom Drawers (Sunny Side Up)

Well! I kicked off my organizing challenge and then left you hanging last week! Ha. So sorry about that. Kenny was in San Francisco for work and the kids went back to school and things around here got busy quickly and I couldn’t get a blog post up. Life! If you’ve been hanging with me on IG stories I’ve been sharing progress and updates there! I’m happy to say that my list is made and I got all of our bathrooms organized except for Kole’s. His bathroom isn’t too bad so I’ll knock that out (and have him help!) this week. Have you made your list yet? Really this challenge is chill and you can just work at your own pace. Take two or three weeks for bathrooms if you need to! The best part about physically writing your organizing to-do list is that it holds you accountable and reminds you what tasks to focus on each day. Small wins! Every time you check something off of your list you create momentum to keep going. (You can find my organizing challenge printables HERE and read more details about this challenge in general HERE).

These are my bathroom organization essentials! Dish soap, my portable hand vacuum cleaner (perfect for cleaning drawers!), paper towels and cleaning cloths. I empty every drawer and cupboard completely and vacuum any hair/dirt in the drawer. Then I fill my sink with hot, soapy water and after vacuuming I scrub all drawers and cupboards clean. Next it’s time to go through all products and toss/donate things you don’t use and love. Put items back and decide what organizers (if any) would work best in your space. I listen to a good podcast or book on audible and move quickly! It always feels so good when each bathroom is done. :)

For more bathroom organization tips (and pictures of most of our bathroom drawers) check out this post from last year. Below are some pictures I took of the current state of my bathroom drawers after a good clean out!

{linus shallow drawer organizer}

My every day make-up and sunscreen. I’ve been using these shallow drawer organizers for a few years now and still love them! I put a little bit of this putty on the bottom of the outside organizers to hold them in place.

{drawer divider}

You can’t go wrong with a good drawer divider! I love having wash cloths and my most used products close in this drawer.

Brushes and nighttime products are in this drawer. I’m out of a few skin favorites I ordered so I set a little bowl in this drawer to hold the jewelry I wear most days. It has been so handy having it close when I’m in a hurry getting ready!

{linus deep drawer organizers}

Extras go in this drawer below. These organizers come up higher on the sides and hold more for deeper drawers. So nice!

These bins are also great for deep drawers.

{divided lazy susan}

I cleaned out this space under my bathroom sink a few years ago and for the most part I’ve been able to keep it clean. The only issue?

Organized Bathroom Drawers (Sunny Side Up)

I’ve accumulated more products! Most items I wanted to keep so I knew it was a time for a better system for this space.

{2 Tier Lazy Susan Organizers}

The divided lazy susan I’ve been using for years has been great, but I wanted more storage. When I landed on these 2 Tier Lazy Susans I knew they would be a perfect solution.

Ready to see the after?

So good right!?

{2 Tier Lazy Susan Organizers}

I was able to fit so many more products with the 2 shelves! I put items I use the most on the lazy susan in front (hello Olaplex) and items I use less often (like self tanner I just use in the summer) on the lazy susan behind. These lazy susans come in two sizes and I have the smaller size. The large size would be perfect in a kitchen pantry!

{2 Tier Organizer w/ Dividers}

I have a lot of smaller items like extra mascara, lip gloss, hair masks, and travel sized items that I wanted to keep but I don’t use every day. I don’t like storing items like this in my drawers because I forget about them so I searched for a solution and found this 2 tier organizer with dividers. I absolutely love it!

The drawers slide in and out so easily and have dividers so you can separate items.

So good! Now I can see and access everything so easily. There was even a perfect spot in-between for my Senia hot/cold facial steamer. Cheers to more spa nights with Addison. :)

{T 3 hair tools}

My favorite drawer in our bathroom? The hot tool drawer.. forever and always. :) This pic is older and now all of my hair tools are white! But still T3. I’ve slowly handed down older curling irons and blow dryers to my girls and bought new since they were always stealing mine! If you have thick hair I would highly recommend this brand. A little pricey but so good and you will have them for years.

{ivory decorative tray/artisan vase/faux tree branches}

I really try to resist decorating during this challenge because I want to focus on donating items we don’t need and getting my spaces organized, but I couldn’t resist adding a fun tray and some faux branches in my bathroom. So simple and it brought so much life to this space! I’ve had these branches for a while and they are so good for the price. I bought the pack of 5 which feels perfect because I like a less full look with these branches. They are extremely realistic!

{glass candle holder/similar glass hurricane/luxie make-up brushes & sephora make-up brushes/marble heart tray}

I like having my make-up brushes out on the counter (my favorites are linked!) and I set out this cute marble heart tray to hold my ring and other jewelry. It’s beautiful and comes in a large size also.

That’s a wrap on bathroom organization! Like I mentioned above, you can see more of our bathroom drawers in this post. I’ve shared our bathroom drawers so many times through the years I don’t want to put you all to sleep with them again.. ha. But I hope it’s motivating to see afters! There is nothing like waking up in the morning and opening clean and organized bathroom drawers. It’s a great way to start your day!

I’ll be back soon (really soon!) with some fun weekend sales and favorites. Then it’s on to laundry rooms, mudrooms/shoe storage this week!

We’ve got this. :)
