Happy Saturday! My stairs have a new addition that I’m so excited about!

Aren’t these lanterns dreamy!? No glass and they are lightweight. I love how simple and elegant they are.

I bought one set of 3 to try on the first few steps and loved them so much I ordered enough for the whole bottom half of the stairs. They are 3 different sizes so I put the small lanterns on the bottom steps, medium in the middle and then the largest lanterns at the top. The lanterns come with the candles and the candles flicker and look so realistic! They are just BEAUTIFUL.

They have a timer feature so I have them set to click on around 5:00 every evening and then they turn off 6 hours later. I’m in love with them!

I’ve never had anything lighting my stair case like this and just can’t get over how gorgeous it looks. This whole section of my house glows and makes me so happy at night. Very excited about this new holiday addition! (These lanterns would also look beautiful on a porch or mantel or anywhere in your home!)

I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving! We had such a nice chill day together. I didn’t want it to end! Ad flies back Saturday so the party is winding down. I’m so happy that the girls are back in a couple of weeks or I would be majorly depressed! It has been the best having them home and the family together again. I wore the same pjs on Thanksgiving that I wore to my holiday party last week. Sharing holiday party pics and details along with the gifts we all brought below!

Beverage Dispenser

These cute tree drink dispensers were so fun with some lemonade and cranberries. Of course my fridge was stocked with Coke Zero and Diet Coke too. :)

I didn’t do a very good job snapping pics of the food but I caught this moment when Kole came downstairs and was sneaking some food quick which showed the party spread! He was hiding out upstairs to avoid all of the commotion.. ha. Maybe he thought the blanket would disguise him more and he wouldn’t have to chat with us all? Nice try bud.

I always have a theme for my parties and this year it was “Home for the Holidays” since my girls were both coming home and we are staying home for both holidays this year. I told everyone to bring a gift to share that is something they love using in their home!

This just made me laugh. My friend Katy left me a lovely little gift. Personal joke because the first time I thew this holiday party I had Katy make her Potato Soup (my personal favorite!) and she was getting it ready to serve and asked me if I had chicken stock. I gave her a blank stare so she asked for chicken broth which was followed by another blank stare. Apparently EVERY pantry has chicken broth in it.. other than mine. Ha! So now every year she leaves me a little gift in my pantry after the party. What would I do without her? Live on pretzels, popcorn and Coke Zero no doubt. Which sounds a little too familiar. ;)

I kept my mantel decor simple too and just combined and layered two different garlands (the same two I used in my kitchen!). Then I added my long time favorite birch trees and pine branches in a vase and put some of the same bow ornaments from my tree over my mirror. I just used simple command hooks to hold them on my shiplap! I might lower them a little closer to my mirror if I can summon up the energy to get my big ladder out again.. ha.

A few fun details on my coffee table. These wicker storage bins have saved my marriage! My husband likes the remote and computer chargers out and easy to find/use but it drives me crazy when they are out so I was always putting them in different spots and drawers and sending him on a fun little treasure hunt each night. He wasn’t loving the hunt and I wasn’t loving the mess of having things out so I finally moved these bins to the coffee table to keep everything tucked away in and easy for him to find each evening. Peace! Issue is solved and we lived happily ever after. ;)

We got this new couch over the summer and have really enjoyed it. It’s larger than our last sectional so I’m excited to use it through the holidays with kids home and more people over! I’m definitely still in that new couch phase where I watch food around it and try to be careful but the few times we have spilled everything has come right off (its a great performance fabric!) so I think we are safe to lounge and not worry.

I usually use linen napkins for my holiday party but decided to order some on Amazon and save myself another load of laundry this year.

I don’t regret that decision. :)

I decorated my dining room table the same other than I used my flameless candles in this space. I love clicking them all on with a little remote! I’m leaving these tables set for the next month so that we can easily host our friends and my kids’ friends. Tis the season for family and friends!

We are here for it. :)

SO good to have her home again!

Ellie came over for most of the day too! She has class Monday and Tuesday and then we’ll get her back again for the rest of the week. It was the best day spending time with all 3 of them together! I’m a happy mom. :)

One of the things I’m so excited about in my home this year are these fun slim trees I added!

They are so beautiful! Really slim which I love because they are perfect for tight corners! The lights are stunning and the are such pretty trees I didn’t even want to decorate them. Instead of using the stands they came with I just put them in large black pots. Love the look!

I had my 3 slim Target trees here but they just took up too much room in this stair landing so I moved them to Kole’s bedroom (made him happy!) and I put another slim tree here. Perfect solution!

Outlet Concealer

I can’t hide the cord here so I used an outlet concealer to disguise it as much as possible! This is a great solution when you want your plug/cord to look better OR to use when you have a console or nightstand table up next to a wall and don’t want a plug/cord pushing it out! It comes in different sizes.

One last tree in my dining room! I have the flocked version in this corner.. it’s magical! These black pots come in a set of 3 (this is the largest size) and they are on sale at the moment! You’ve seen them before on my porch. They move all over my house and always come in handy!

Happy Saturday! Kicking off today’s Saturday 6 with some fun options for holiday pajamas! This first pair is so cute. PJ Salvage pajamas are a little pricey but they are such a great fit and are crazy soft. I love the little snowflakes and skiers on this set! The hearts make them cute for February too so this is a set you could wear through the winter. Can we also talk about these fuzzy memory foam slippers!? I haven’t taken them off since I bought them! I have several pairs of Uggs but keep reaching for these. They are honestly so comfy. I bought a pair for each of my girls for Christmas!

I personally don’t love button up tops like this as much to sleep in (just not as comfortable to me) but most of my friends love this style so I wanted to share this option! This is the first year I have stored my wreaths this way and it saved so much space. These big bags fit around 8 wreaths inside each! The lights were going through all of their settings the whole time.. they are so bright and beautiful! I took these quick while I was setting it up just so you can see how the branches fall in place w/o needing to fluff them.

Ellie was over and snapped this pic laughing at me. I was so close to being able to put the top on but wasn’t quite tall enough! I almost tipped over right after she took this and had to get out a step stool.

Done and up! Obviously I need to tweak the branches a little but not much! It’s a beautiful tree. The sparkle setting is my favorite. I’ll take better pics when I get the room finished!

5 – FRIENDSGIVING

My cute friend hosted a Friendsgiving party this week and her table setting was absolutely stunning. Sharing it to give you a few ideas if you are hosting a similar party or Thanksgiving this year!

Beautiful hostess! She made the turkey and we each brought a side and the food was SO delicious.

This is a pretty way to serve the turkey!

I especially loved the way she incorporated floating candles! Such a beautiful way to add ambiance.

It was a perfect night and I left feeling so grateful for these girls and all of the amazing friends in my life.

Solid Wood Tray, Ornaments, Faux Cedar Stems, Pine Branches

Sharing some holiday favorites from Wayfair today! They have so many fun things to make your home cozy for the holidays. I love their selection of holiday decor! I put together a few arrangements and I’m so excited about how they turned out. Christmas decor is too much fun. Have I mentioned before that I love it!? :) I’ve had my eye on this solid wood tray from Wayfair for a while now (you’ve most likely seen it in a collage or two!) so when it went on sale I didn’t hesitate to order it. I have to say that it’s absolutely beautiful in person! I love the shape and the stitching inside and the gorgeous rattan wrap on the outside.

I ordered these beautiful Norfolk pine branches (such a good deal on a set of 12 stems!) and layered six in the tray and then added 2 of these pretty faux cedar stems. Then I added a few gold ornaments on top and done!

Isn’t it pretty!? Perfect for a table centerpiece or a console, coffee or entry table! I’ll probably set this on the table behind our couch but that’s still up in the air because it looks good everywhere I set it! Bonus.. I still had more faux stems left to play with. :)

Another recent Wayfair favorite is this gorgeous modern vase! I couldn’t decided between white or black so I solved that problem by ordering them both. Problem solving is clearly my strong suit.

Happy Sunday! Sharing a round-up of your favorites from last week along with cute clothes and fun new arrivals! Also I ordered this tree you’ll see pictured below for my bedroom this year and it just arrived today! This tree went viral last year because the lights are supposed to be incredible. I’ll put it up soon and let you know what I think! I’m up late writing this and the time change is about to happen. YEA for an extra hour! I get so excited about this time change. I know having it get dark earlier isn’t appealing to everyone, but I personally love it. I get to put my pj’s on earlier and enjoy my inside holiday lights longer. Plus that extra hour really does make a difference! I love thinking that it’s getting late and I’m running out of evening time and then looking at the clock and it’s only 5 pm. I’m all sorts of productive with that extra hour! Ha. When my kids were little I also loved that it was easier to get them to bed at a good time. With teens that trick does NOT work. But still, lots to love about falling back. ;)

Happy Saturday and happy November! YEA. Bring on the turkeys and trees! My favorite combo. :) Kicking off today’s Saturday post with a quick PSA that my favorite tree was just marked 25% off! All McGee Trees  are for a short time! I couldn’t love this tree more! Going on year 4 with it and I get so excited to pull it out of the box. I can set it up easily by myself and the shape and stems and lights are just perfection. This is how I decorated it in 2021.

2 – HOLIDAY GALLERY WALL

Stairs are looking festive.. my holiday gallery wall is officially up!

So cute right!? I love these Christmas wall art prints! Just $12 and full of holiday charm. I ordered simple wooden frames (also from Amazon) and just used these picture hanging strips to hang them. I just put one velcro strip at the top of each frame. Such an easy project.. it took less than an hour to hang them all!

I’ll keep them up through winter and then decide if I want to take it down or leave the frames up and put different pictures/prints in them.

3 – STAIR GARLAND

I took these pictures late in the day so lighting wasn’t ideal but here’s a quick look at my stair garland this year! I’m a fan of simple. :) I just used two strands of this gorgeous thick faux cedar garland (one strand went half way down my stair railing with the loops so I combined the two half way down).

It’s so beautiful in person! I used these velcro garland ties to hold it on my railing and then covered the ties with my favorite ribbon.

I’ll take some better pics at some point but wanted to share the progress!

4 – CHRISTMAS CARD GARLAND

It turned out cute and was such a fun way to display our family cards through the years. You could use this bead garland to display cards from friends too.. or other holiday pictures or art!

These card photos bring back all the memories! Kole brought a special kind of holiday joy to this photoshoot. ;)

My stairs look a little more elegant this year with the thick garland and ribbons I used so I’m going to hang this bead garland with my cards in a different spot. I’ll post pics of where they land soon but wanted to share this idea if it’s something you want to incorporate in your home this holiday season!
