4th of July themed of course! Because patriotic decor is too fun to only use one day in the summer. :) I tied gingham ribbon around a few more red candles.
I also added red ribbon to these smaller blue ceramic vases from Target (love this blue vase collection – all 3 sizes!) and filled them with hydrangeas. Real this time! :)
I used these cute floral arrangements for the table too! Clearly I’m a fan. Also my faux hydrangeas look just like the real deal right!? Other than the shade of white they look identical. My friends thought ALL of my hydrangeas were real. Made me happy. :)
I wanted to order this cute bar cart when it first came out with the summer collection but it sold out so fast. As soon as I saw it back in stock last week I ordered it. So cute to hold drinks! I had plans of making fun mocktails for the evening but knew we’d all just end up drinking water and Diet Coke/Coke Zero so I ended up just using it for water.. ha.
Then added dessert and dessert plates! My friend Katy made all of the food.. we love hosting together because I enjoy decorating and she loves to cook! This cake was AMAZING. We were going to add some treats to the cute star cupcake tray and ran out of time! We added more food to this table during the dinner. It’s nice to have a place to set things when you are done with them!
and I requested my favorite hummus dip! I could eat just this for all 3 meals for days! I shared the recipe in this post last December if you want it. The blue chips and red peppers gave it a fun 4th of July vibe this time around. :)
I kept my table similar to the 4th table I shared earlier and just added these cute blue scallop plates. They are a little bigger than the star plates I was using and I love the scallop edge!
Enter the party crew! We had so much fun chatting and laughing for hours. Everyone dressed so cute too! I LOVE this gingham dress for summer. I ordered some red shoe/white sweater options to go with it for the 4th and will share what I’m keeping when everything arrives. Below are other fun clothes options I’m loving for the 4th!
Katy and I threw this get together pretty quickly and are hoping to host more dinners in the future with lots more friends when we have time to organize things better! I truly believe that planning ways to spend quality time with close friends is one of the best gifts you can give yourself (and your friends!).
I snapped this at night while I was cleaning up! The candles looked so pretty I didn’t want to bring them inside. I had to laugh at my solar swan floating around the pool. He needs some air and was tipping a bit to the left and looked a little like I felt.
