Christmas Window (Sunny Side Up)

{similar faux cedar garland/faux cedar swag/faux long pine needle garland}

I hope you’re enjoying the weekend! December madness and all. :) I’ve rounded up some fun gift ideas but wanted to also share these pics I took yesterday of my cozy kitchen window at night! Always a favorite spot right around 5 pm when it gets dark and these lights click on. I added these fun mercury votive holders to each side of my window this year and put in more of my timer tea lights. My timer lights are in the houses too and the birch trees come with a timer option.. so convenient!

I also added some of my favorite fairy lights in random spots like around my oatmeal canisters. These twinkle lights are great to add a little sparkle all over the house. I use them in my garland all the time too! I’ve tried a few different types and these are my favorite because of the glow they give off and how easy they are to use/wrap around things. You just click them on and off (they have a little battery pack) so they are the only things I manually turn on in the evening.

You can see where I added some on the left corner of my counter too around the trees on my round tray.

Loving the sparkle and glow. :)

Below are some fun gift ideas (beauty & wellness favorites) along with holiday dress options for parties, winter coats and puffer vests I’ve had my eye on! Wishing you the best start to your week! Try to get some rest if you can before Monday hits. And breathe. Deep breaths! Also listen to Christmas music and add fairy lights around your house. It helps calm the chaos inside of your head this time of year.

At least it does for me. :)

  1. Your kitchen is magical and I could see a peek at your table with the black houses. Love all the fairy lights. I found some strands at the Dollar Tree of all places and put them on my mantel for now and just adore how pretty it looks. I probably would spend all my time gazing at your kitchen with the lights on if I visited. It’s just so pretty! Thanks so much for sharing, Erin! I hope you are enjoying the holiday season so far. :)

  2. I have lost count on how many sets of the fairy lights I have…..love them so much and so easy to use.
I am buying the puffer vest with the hood from Macys!! Can’t wait for it to arrive. The vests are great for our chilly weather here in AZ. Just right 👏
Thanks for all the links. Your kitchen is beautiful 🤩

    1. Yea! That vest is so CUTE Lynn! They all are! I can’t choose which one I want to order! Perfect for San Diego winters too. :) Thank you so much! Enjoy December! xo

  3. Erin,
Number 4 and 6 on the dresses (Navy) would be a nice choice for you to stand in your entry to greet your guests on the annual CHRISTMAS HOUSE TOUR that you SHOULD be giving! num. 4 is a BIT low cut for the HOUSE TOUR! ;-D Go with the num. 6!
Remember when I compared your foyer to the perfect navy dress w/gold, silver and black suede/velvet accessories? That navy loveseat/ bench inspires me every time!
So now the fairy land of your kitchen! THAT IS what it is, Erin! It gets better each year! I FEEL calm just looking at it so I can only imagine in person.
Thank you so much for the pictures. The photography is wonderful! Are you using an iPhone camera? IF so which one? I am hoping w/the new cameras I won’t have to grab for the dig. camera as much.
I am just in the process of setting up new phones. UGH……..I guess I am ok at technology b/c I DO IT Get it DONE; however, I DISLIKE it VERY much! I should have never let this necessary upgrade on 2 phones go. Now it’s Christmas season and using up way too much of my time……
If I lived closer to you, I know you would never get me out of your kitchen! I would be sitting at your counter in the glow of the little houses working on the phones! ;-O
Carry on Erin! I would suggest that you get some rest BUT I KNOW this IS like REST for you. Almost an art project as opposed to mere “Christmas decorating!

    1. Ha ha.. you crack me up Sherri! #4 is WAY too low for that. ;) I so wish you could sit at my kitchen counter and chat with me while I work! We could turn on a Hallmark movie and have Kenny set up the phones for you since I am CLUELESS with most technology. I learn what I have to for work but turn the rest right over to him.. ha. I use a DSLR camera for most of my blog pics but iPhone cameras are getting so much better I feel like I could start doing more and more with my phone (I definitely use my phone more for IG story pics!). I’m hoping Kenny gives me a new phone for Christmas.. I’ve heard the cameras on the 14 pro max are amazing! XO

  4. Hi Erin!
Your kitchen looks beautiful. I had a quick question on which votives you use in the Crate and Barrel houses. I have the same ones and am having a hard time finding the right votive lighting.
    Thanks so much!
    Erin
