Happy Sunday! I hope you’re having a good weekend! I’m loving this week’s round-up because everything is screaming SPRING! Home and fashion are so fun this time of year aren’t they!? All the pretty spring dresses and clothes come out and it’s time to make our homes feel lighter and brighter. I can feel a major spring cleaning spree coming on too! I love organizing and de-cluttering this time of year. I own or want to own everything I featured below! Ha. So many cute things. Have the best day! I’m going to make sure to relax, but also find some time to do a little prep before the week hits. I’ve found that if I prep some healthy snacks, plan my week and catch up on laundry Monday tends to feel a little less scary. ;) Enjoy your day!
Wedding Shower and 48
Happy Saturday! I hope you had a great week! Mine has been a little busier than usual so I’m sharing a few recent events instead of my usual Saturday 6 today. Lots of fun things coming to the blog next week too so I’m excited about that! I turned 48 on Tuesday. 48! I think I was around 30 when I started blogging so wow. Crazy how quickly time really does go by. We are all getting old! ;) Last weekend was beautiful weather here but the rain hit on my birthday and this week has been a wet and cloudy mess! It might have made for some not so good hair, but it didn’t stop us from celebrating. :)
My cute friends took me to lunch and totally spoiled me and honestly seeing all of their beautiful faces felt like such a gift! I love each of them so much. It can be hard to find time for friends when you are an adult right? Life is so busy with kids and work and all of the things that pull us in a million directions, but at the end of the day good friendships enrich our lives so much. Plus friends just make life FUN. I’m incredibly grateful for these girls and for all of you. My beautiful on-line friends. :)
I’m already loving a few new products my friends gave me so excited to share those soon!
My original pizza b-day spot went out of business so we had to re-group and find a new one. There was so much pizza/salad leftover and they sent it all home with me (we have been eating pizza all week.. ha). I was so happy to have my pizza container! I fit a HUGE box of pizza inside. Total space saver.
Ad has been home for spring break all week and that also made my birthday such a treat this year! Heading out to celebrate together.
The absolute best when I can get my whole family together. It made me excited for this summer when my girls will both be home more! And when it’s not raining. ;)
Last weekend we threw a wedding shower for a close friend’s daughter and everything turned out so pretty! Sharing some pics in case you want to use these ideas for a shower or other party or event this year. I found this pretty welcome sign on Etsy that I downloaded and personalized and then I had it made into a poster at a local print place. Her colors are blue and white so it was perfect! We set it by the front door with a picture of the cute couple.
Dessert table!
Isn’t this shell cake adorable!?
These buffet dishes were perfect to hold the food and keep everything warm!
We had a lot of the food catered but a friend of mine made the salad and it was delicious.
We lucked out with beautiful weather so we set the tables up outside in my friend’s backyard.
We used my favorite
for all of the flowers.. they make it so easy to put together pretty arrangements! We also added these cute advice & wishes cards people could fill in on the table. My marriage advice was to always put each other first and to ignore the advice that says “never go to bed mad.” When it’s late and your feeling annoyed or frustrated with each other my advice is to go to bed and talk about it in the morning. It’s amazing what a good night’s sleep will do for perspective. ;)
ALL the drinks!
We had this table set up with party favors for people when they left.
I got the thank you for coming sign on Etsy too and ordered a gold frame for it.
Cutest favors.. both last names start with M!

The bride to be with her mom and the party planning crew! So happy for her. I have watched her grow up and can’t help getting emotional at events like these! We were all just pushing our kids in strollers yesterday. Such a beautiful day. We are throwing another wedding shower in a few weeks at my house so no rest for the planning crew. ;)
Enjoy your weekend and I’ll be back soon with all things spring!
Sunday Edit
Happy Sunday! Did everyone “spring forward?” It’s so nice to have more light in the evenings, but I always struggle with this switch for about a week! In fact I’m feeling tired just mentioning it. Ha. I hope we are all able to get some rest today before a busy week hits with one less hour in it! For today’s Sunday Edit I’m sharing your recent favorites along with some fun spring round-ups! I shared a beautiful Farm Rio spring dress a few weeks ago that you loved as much as I did. It sold out so quickly but was just re-stocked! I linked it below again too. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Saturday 6
Happy Saturday! Sending all the spring vibes your way and sharing a few things I’m loving lately! :)
1 – BOOK VASES
It’s tulip season and I was so excited to pull out these fun book vases I bought last year! They look cute side by side on a book case or layered like this on any table/counter. These are real tulips above but I linked these faux tulips as a fun option too. I ordered them and they are beautiful! I’ll share how I’m using them soon.
This little secret garden book vase is another favorite we’ve had for years. The Secret Garden was my favorite book growing up. :)
Another pretty book vase option! This is such a fun way to give flowers to a friend/loved one too.. inside a book vase they can keep and always use!
2 – LANDING SPOT
{ceiling fan/similar bench/similar throw}
It’s Addison’s college Spring Break starting tomorrow (YEA!) so I took the tulips up to her room to welcome her home.
{upholstered bed/waves comforter/natural bench (similar)/similar pom throw/rug/stripe pillows are older from S & L – they have a fun sale going on!}
I love the way they look on a nightstand next to a lamp!
floor mirror (similar)
While I was up in her bedroom I saw this cute book planter in her closet that I forgot we also have!
It has a larger square opening so I usually set a little plant inside. So many cute book vase options! (I linked them all here with a few other favorites.) Perfect for someone who loves to read. :)
3 – EASTER TABLE CANDLES
I started working on my Easter table this week and ordered these adorable bunny candle holders. They are the sweetest and so are the carrot candles! I’m not using the carrot candles on this table (going with soft pinks this year!) but love them for a kids’ table or a table with bright colors. I might do a fun arrangement with them in my kitchen.
This is how they look in the bunny candle holders. So fun.
These are two other candle options I ordered to try on this table! Love them both. This cake stand and candle have such a pretty scallop edge just like the bowl and tray I used in my spring bathroom.
These glass bunnies are also beautiful and come in pink, purple and green.
4 – SWIMSUITS
Swim season is right around the corner and these two suits stole my heart! I love this style of swim top and have several already because I like having my shoulders covered when I’m at the beach or pool for hours. I have fair skin so tanning isn’t an option for me plus I don’t need any extra freckles or wrinkles. I’m pretty set on both. ;) Robbin Piccone is my favorite brand for bikinis/swim suits. They are a little on the pricey side but they are flattering, good quality and they have great coverage. Three things I’m looking for at this stage of life when it comes to suits!
Swim Top/ Coverup Skirt / Stipe Bag
This cute stripe bag was a favorite last year and this little skirt is my most worn coverup. I can’t wait to pull out all the beach bags! We aren’t quite there yet but with the time change happening this weekend it’s nice to know it’s coming!
BEFORE
If your swim suits and cover-ups are a hot mess like mine were last year try organizing them like this..
AFTER / SWIMSUIT ORGANIZATION
SO much better right!? I’ve had this drawer organized like this for a year now and can honestly say that I absolutely LOVE it. It is easy to keep things organized and I can quickly see where all of my suits are if I’m getting ready in a hurry. It makes packing a breeze too!
{mini clear bag small bags – I bought this same bag in the 2 sizes listed above}
These are the sizes of clear bags I used, but honestly I don’t think the size matters as long as you can fit them in your drawer. One tip that worked for me was having my swimsuit bags a little smaller than my cover-up bags.
5 – GREEN SWEATS
Ok.. since green is clearly superior in my mind (and you all know that by now) I think it’s pretty clear why I love this set of sweats! Obviously cute (love the white stripe!) but they are also incredibly comfortable. The only down side (for me anyway) is the pants are too long. I’m going to try washing/drying this set this weekend to see if the pants will shrink up a little so that I’m not tripping on them. *I’m almost 5’4 and wearing xs in both top and bottom. They are both a baggy fit! If you are in-between sizes on pants go down to the smaller size.
6 – PHONE CASE
Ok.. last favorite before I sign off! I’m so excited about my cute new phone case! A friend of mine has this case and when I saw it at lunch I fell hard and told her to send me the link. It looks classy and I love the gold ring holder. But the best part?
The wallet inside! I love that now I have my most used credit cards and driver’s licence with me everywhere I go. I can just grab my keys and phone and head out the door!
It’s the little things right?
I hope you have the best weekend! I’m about 80% done with about 15 projects right now so my goal is just to finish SOMETHING around here. Ha. I think I better wear my green sweats for good luck. Going to need it!
:)
Sunday Edit
{PSA – daisies are showing back in stock but not sure for how long! SPRING BATHROOM REFRESH}
Happy Sunday! This was the first weekend in so long that Kenny and I have been home without tons of random things going on. We really needed a catch up weekend and I’m heading to bed feeling so good about everything I got done! We went on a walk in the morning and it was so cold here today so I came home and turned on the fireplace and Harry Potter (it has been my go-to on repeat for a while now – I like the background noise.. ha) and then I CLEANED. Did some long overdue admin things, house work and organizing. Kenny was working on taxes (yuck.. I would so much rather clean!) and then tonight we went to dinner with Kole and a friend and then finished a series we’ve been watching on Netflix. I love weekend days like today. A walk, some productive time, dinner out and then relax and watch a movie at home. The only thing that would have made it better is adding in some hot tub time with the kids. Kenny overheats and doesn’t love the hot tub but I LOVE it. The hotter the better. :) I hope you had a good Saturday too! Sharing lots of cute things for spring today! Your recent favorites, spring art, trees, decor and fashion. Where is the sun!? We are all ready right!? Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Saturday 6
Happy Saturday from the trail! I hope you had a beautiful week! I’ve got a fun round-up for you today that includes a little organizing, a little spring decor, a lot of fashion (hello affordable spring purses!), and a little life. Time for some popcorn.. let’s do it. :)
1 – ORGANIZED CONTAINER DRAWER
BEFORE
This food container drawer has been driving me crazy for over a year! I’ve organized it many times and even added a divider to separate containers from lids, but it somehow aways ended up looking like this. I finally determined that the mis matched containers (all different sizes) were the issue in keeping this small space tidy. I did some research and ordered new containers at the beginning of the year and two months later.. I organized the drawer. Progress is sometimes slow. Ha.
AFTER
2 – SPRING WREATHS
Floral Wreath With White Ribbon
These two wreaths are so pretty for spring and I know they will sell out quickly! This gorgeous neutral floral wreath with little white flowers and a white ribbon..
3 – MOST WORN JEANS
My Paige Anessa High Waist Jeans are finally back in stock! Hands down my most worn jeans last spring and summer so I ordered them in a dark wash and white too. They are pricey but I literally lived in them! Well.. you remember. :)
First pic I found of me in the light wash. They are high waisted so they work really well with shorter/crop tops.
But they also look cute with longer tops. My favorite part about these jeans (other than the fit) is that they work with ANY type of shoe. I’ve dressed them up with heels, I’ve worn them with a sweatshirt and sneakers, and they look so cute with ballet flats and sandals. I’m a fan.
4 – SPRING PURSES
Ok.. let’s talk spring purses! AFFORDABLE and CUTE spring purses. Aren’t the two above the cutest!? I’m so in love! $25 you guys. Such a steal. I had to have them both. It comes in a pretty blue pattern too!
I found so many cute spring purse options and ordered them all to see/try in person. I took a lot of pics in this same outfit just so you can see bag sizes! This bamboo handle purse is on the small size. It’s perfect for lunch with friends or date night when you just need your keys, phone and lipgloss. On a sidenote this sweater is so comfy and on sale! I have had these Colette pants in green for years and got the black for Christmas. Kenny gives the best gifts! Especially when he has specific instructions. ;)
Here’s the same purse in black. I love the little scarf tie! Wearing it with this cute cropped jumpsuit that Kenny also gave me for Christmas. Colette everything this year! He has the best taste. ;) Really though.. this jumpsuit is so flattering and on sale.
Ok.. back to my stripes and more cute purse options. This clear bag is perfection. Perfect for a summer concert or baseball game! I love the cute strap with gold accents. It matches my sweater pretty cute too. And my hall rugs. Clearly I like black and cream.
Another cute spring/summer option. This purse is a little bigger so it could be more of an every day bag. I love the way it ties in a bow at the top.
Also darling! Also has the cute bow accent. This would be a perfect beach vacation purse.

5 – HEALTHY LUNCH/SNACKLE BOX/ART
These are the sliced almonds I use! Also this cute citrus art is back in stock! It has been in my pantry and I swapped it for this cute lemon print because I like the size better of this one in my kitchen.
6 – GOOD-BYE FEBRUARY
I can’t believe January and February are over! We made it! We are through the two sometimes LONG winter months. HELLO MARCH! So happy you are here. I’m excited for the time change and longer evenings.. anyone else? Sharing a quick dump of random pics on my camera roll since this blog is still in some small way a family journal. I’m too busy trying out all the cute spring purses for us to have time to actually scrapbook anymore. ;)
A bit of life lately..
Kole went to his first formal dance! How is he this old!? Freshman mostly just go with friends which I love.
Love these boys. Growing up way too fast.
The dance was at Seaworld and they all had the best time.
Took El and Kole to Wicked last weekend. That play gets better every time doesn’t it!? A must see if you haven’t yet! The Broadway is incredible. It was so fun seeing the movie this year but for me nothing compares to the play.
Team pink and team green. :) We were really missing Addie! Well.. I was anyway. I’m over here “This is so fun! Let’s wear pink and green! Let’s buy snacks! Let’s take pictures!” El, Kole and Kenny were all missing Ad because they needed her to hang with me. Ad and I bring a different energy that is sometimes too much for these 3. Ha.
A recent pic of her heading to an exam with her little good luck charm! She is coming home soon for spring break and we all can’t wait to get her here.
Sweaty nights at the gym with my boys! I have to really PUSH myself go but I’m always so glad I did after.
It’s much easier to get dinner out with the girls. :)
Or shopping. Or lunch. Or walks. Grateful for all of the good friends in my life!
Fun night at Seaport Village.
Speaking of good friends! We were with these two again last night and I said “ok.. I can’t be out too late.. I still need to write my Saturday 6 post!” Richard wanted me to just make it a Saturday 3 or 4 so we could keep the party going. Ha. He cracks us up. Not only did I stick to 6 things (sorry Richard!) but this was a LONG 6 things. I’m up way past my bedtime! If you see a Saturday 3 or 4 pop up in the future you’ll know why. ;)
Have a great weekend and kick off the new month with something that makes you happy!
I think I’ll organize another drawer. :)
Spring Bathroom Re-fresh
Who is ready for warmer days and all things spring!? I am SO ready and I’m channeling sunshine by adding ALL the spring decor possible! I kicked things off with a little bathroom re-fresh and I have to say that it is an instant mood boost walking into this space. For quick links to everything I’m sharing head
How can you not be happy when surrounded by pinks and greens?
And daisies!?
I used these rug tabs on the corners of the rug to keep it in place. You can buy them on Amazon also.
Cute green hand towel and then I added the pink scalloped bowl that matches the tray to this corner. Also bunnies! I can’t resist a cute bunny this time of year and these are adorable with their little bows! The dish cloths add pretty shades of pink and are perfect for guests or for Kole to use to wipe off the counter. Training him young. ;)
I hung the large towels here. A green stripe? Perfection.
I also picked up this woven trash can to go with the bunnies and added this pretty art I’ve had for a couple of years.
It’s back in stock and screams spring/summer!
Sidenote.. do you prefer your toilet paper over or under? I know the “correct” way is over but I’m clearly not interested in following the crowd. I have always had to have ours under! It’s so much easier to grab. Luckily nobody in my house cares other than me because that’s a hill I would have died on. ;)
Quick shout out for a bathroom essential. I’m loving this driftwood room spray! It smells so good – clean and refreshing.
Sunday Edit
Happy Sunday! Sharing a few quick round-ups today including your weekly favorites and cute things popping up for spring! Clothes and home decor are too much fun this time of year when spring lines come out. I’m especially feeling pinks and greens at the moment! Probably no surprise there. :) Wishing you the best Sunday and a great start to your week!
Saturday 6
1 – SIGNS OF SPRING
Happy Saturday! I hope you had a good week! We had a few days of beautiful weather and it’s making me so excited for spring! I know spring comes earlier for us than for some of you so I’m sharing a dose of sunshine to help us remember that warmer weather and good times are ahead. It’s always nice to have something to look forward to isn’t it?
I get excited every year when I see the green leaves popping out on this tree.
Also lemons! My trees always have the most lemons in January and February. A little pick me up during longer winter months. Time to bring these inside for a pick me up in the kitchen. :)
2 – HALLWAY REFRESH
Faux Wreaths/another similar option (I ordered both to try and the only different is the little white flowers!)
The spring weather inspired a little re-fresh in my hallway! I had my Christmas wreaths up and the hallway felt so bare and sad without them so I ordered these mini spring wreaths to try. I love the wreaths but can’t decided honestly if I love them in the hallway or not! Some days I think they are the cutest and other days I think they clutter the molding. Ha. For now they are staying.
These rugs were a happy mistake! I ordered one for my laundry room and it was too long so I tossed it in my hall to get a sack to return it and then thought wait.. why do I love that so much in my hallway!? I promptly ordered another one and couldn’t love them more!
Checkered Rug, Faux Wreath, Faux Olive Tree (on sale!), Black Pot
I didn’t really NEED rugs in this spot, but they add so much personality and I love how they look with my lights, tree and pot! (Moved my family room tree/pot into the dining room for now and my tree is on sale this weekend!) Such a fun pattern and they lay really flat to the floor with a rubber backing (no pad needed). CUTE. A happy mistake indeed. :)
3 – RECENT HOME FAVORITES
More spring inside with some cute new additions I’m styling this weekend.. I’ll show you how I’m using them soon! Loving this pretty blush color palette and the scallop details on this tray/bowl!
Also hello gorgeous vases! Obsessed with this wavy look. They are nice quality and will look good paired together or on their own.
Recent kitchen sink look. My island sink is smaller and I don’t like having my dish towel/sponge inside it or out on the counter so I ordered this cute little triangle dish rack! Perfect to keep things close but out of the way of the sink. I’ve had the kitchen sink grid for years and it really helps keeping your sink from getting scratches! You can find lots of sizes/options for sink grids here.
4 – CORD FREE LIGHT
I wanted this cute little lamp in my kitchen but didn’t want to see the cord (our plug outlet is under the top cabinet) so I ordered this rechargeable light bulb and am loving it! It’s dimmable and has a little remote.
Loving the added cozy light in my kitchen! It came in a set of two and I’m putting the other one in another lamp that I wanted in a spot with no outlet. These light bulbs open up so many possibilities for lamps in random spots!
5 – BACK IN STOCK
My pretty ruffled vase is back in stock! I love it with faux tulips. I pulled it out last week and it made me so happy!
Clear Acrylic Vase / Spring Home (more acrylic vase options)
My acrylic vase is also back in stock and comes in a few fun options this year! Shorter versions and a round option I have and also love. I added them all to my Spring Home Amazon folder linked above.
Clear Acrylic Vase / Spring Home (more acrylic vase options)
So many fun ways to style it with different flowers.
6 – NEW ADDITION TO THE FAMILY
New Balance Sneakers, Henley Top
My parents got a dog and he is the cutest! We spent last weekend in Utah with family and I didn’t want to set this little guy down. We snapped this pic on my way out of town.. sweats and no makeup but I saw that my henley top is on sale and had to share it because it’s such a staple in my closet.
I actually have 3 of them – all different colors. They are easy to dress up with jeans or I just wear them with sweats at home. Comfy and casual and cute!
While we’re in my closet can I just say that I’m still loving my wall of hats on hooks!
Ok.. I’m getting sidetracked.
Back to the dog. He’s a Yorkie Poodle mix (Yorkiepoo) and so snuggly and we are in love. I was seriously debating putting him in my suitcase and sneaking him home with me. That little face! Wonder if my parents would trade him for our lizard? Ha.
I won’t hold my breath.
:)
Enjoy your weekend!
Sunday Edit
Happy Sunday! Fun round-up today and so many items are on sale! Your favorites and spring finds and a few fun things I’ve ordered recently! Getting so excited for spring and warmer weather. I hope you’re having a beautiful weekend!
Valentine’s Day Gifts For Her
Valentine’s Day Gifts For Him
Saturday 6 – Presidents’ Day Sales!
Happy Saturday! For today’s Saturday 6 I’m sharing a few things on major sale I have my eye on! This is one of the best sale weekends of the year (especially for home items!) and I’m having a hard time deciding between some of the items I shared below. A few I already have but most of these are on my wish list! I’m sharing favorites from Pottery Barn, Nordstrom and McGee & Co today and will share favorites from a few more stores over the weekend. I highlighted 6 items I love and added more favorites on sale below each of the 3 stores. Right now I have too many items in my on-line cart and need to edit. I’ve been cleaning out closets and don’t want to just add more stuff so I’m trying to make really smart purchases on items I know I will use and love for years! The problem is that many of these things seem to fit in that category.. ha. Too many cute things for spring! I love organizing and updating my home this time of year. Let me know if you see something you love that I shared!
Enjoy your weekend and happy sale shopping!
Pointed Toe Booties
Knit Sweater
Fridge Favorites
Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you feel the love today from someone in your life! And if not just know that I’m sending love and a huge hug your way. If you’re reading this I have a feeling that we have a thing or two in common which connects us instantly. ;)
I’ve been making my boys heart waffles this week and they turned out so cute!
My first attempt was an epic fail, but now I have it figured out (less is clearly more with the batter.. ha). I found this fun waffle maker on-line and it looks so good if you want to make more at one time. It’s sitting in my on-line cart and will most likely land on my doorstep. I think it will be fun to use when the kids have friends over even if it’s not Valentine’s Day.
Hearts are always a good thing. :)
I’m sharing some recent fridge favorites today! I love my snackle box so much for snacks that I decided to try some similar options for my fridge. This fruit and veggie tray has been perfect. I love that I can just pull the whole thing out and take off the lid and we have healthy snacks ready to eat. If Kole wants blueberries with his breakfast I just pull out the smaller removable tray.
Sometimes I take out all of the removable trays and use the large tray for our lettuce. I don’t know how long this will keep lettuce fresh to be honest because we go through ours pretty fast and always eat it long before it goes bad, but this has been a perfect solution at our house.
One afternoon when I knew I would be in the car for a few hours driving Kole around I just picked this fruit/veggie tray up by the handle and took the whole thing with me!
This divided snack tray is the same concept and another favorite I bought at the beginning of the year.
I pull the small trays out on this one and take them with me in the car almost every afternoon. A year and a half until Kole is driving himself around. I can’t even imagine life without being an uber for my kids!
I’ve been excited about these plastic storage bins for a while now because the large size is perfect for the yogurt we like to eat. (Kenny and I each like a different brand.. ha.)
I can fit two side by side and they are the perfect height. I was using smaller bins for yogurt before and couldn’t fit as many inside. These come in multiple sizes!
This deli storage container is perfect for turkey and cheese. Or any meat! You can pull out the divider too if you want to store something larger like hot dogs or bacon. There is a spot on the lid where you can write the expiration date with a dry erase marker too. Genius.
I’m clearly a fan of lids that snap. :)
Love this egg holder too. It’s stackable if you buy a lot of eggs and the inside tray slants so when you take one egg out the next in line rolls forward.
Our fridge never looks the exact same week to week but we do have some things that I always buy and these containers have been favorites on repeat. I still use these Walmart containers too from time to time, but right now I’m loving these larger divided trays for feeding my crew. Easy to just set one thing out on the counter for them to devour! Nothing is safe and lasts long when you live with a 14 year old boy. :) Also yes.. I know Coke Zero isn’t the healthiest but I’m a firm believer in balance. ;)
This is an item I ordered to try in January but it didn’t fit great on my fridge shelves (mine aren’t very deep). I wanted to share it as an option in case it works for you! A great way to store smaller bottles and items that can easily get lost towards the back of the fridge. This swings out making everything easily accessible.
I’ve shared this pizza storage container before.. genius and we use it all the time!
It comes with 5 dividers to lay slices of pizza on, but sometimes I don’t use them and just stack the pizza so that I can fit more slices!
The bottom expands to fit a lot.
So much smarter than a huge pizza box that takes up half the fridge!
Not really for the fridge, but I also love these collapsible microwave covers.
This small cover works perfectly over bowls!
No more splashing and mess!
You can also flip them upside down and use them as a strainer.
They collapse thin so they are easy to store! They also wash easily and you can put them in the dishwasher.
Nothing like a clean and organized fridge!
Planning on getting take out tonight so that mine stays that way.
;)
Enjoy your Friday!
