1 – RATTAN BATS

Happy Saturday! Just over here hanging with my rattan bats. Get it? Hanging? Bats? Sorry.. typing this past my bedtime. ;) Honestly though.. aren’t these bats fun!? I was planning on using them on my porch but they are so cute I think I’m going to have to use them inside. Either way it will be fun figuring it out this weekend and I’ll show you where they land!
2 – GHOST PRINTS

My cute ghost prints landed in our guest bedroom. I’m not really into scary Halloween but cute Halloween like these adorable ghost prints? That I can get excited about!
(I snapped these pics quick with my phone so the paint is looking off! I’ll show better pics at some point.) :)

Talk about inexpensive, easy holiday decor. You can use these cute prints so many ways! I already had these frames hanging in my guest room and to make it even easier I just used painters tape and stuck them right on the outside of the frame! Took all of 5 minutes.

You could also use one print in a frame on a nightstand or in a kitchen next to the salt and pepper or on a shelf in the living room. They would look cute anywhere!

If you’re just using one or two the hard part will be choosing which print to use. They are all pretty adorable and I love the fall colors they bring into the room!

Kole spends a lot of time in this bedroom because it’s close to the kitchen. He likes to read and do homework and talk to friends in this space so I thought it would be fun to decorate it for fall/Halloween this year for him and any guests we have. Since he’s my only child home at the moment he’s getting LOTS of attention from mom.
I know he just loves it. ;)

This white bedding is the same bedding we put in El’s apartment bedroom. It has been perfect for summer but I’m thinking I’ll switch it out for the holidays and add some new lamps! More to come in this space.
3 – GLASS PUMPKINS
Walmart Pumpkin, Walmart Wide Pumpkin, Green Glass Pumpkin, Tall Glass Pumpkin, Round Glass Pumpkin
Along with bats and ghost prints these pumpkins are making a fun appearance for fall! Such a great price and they are so pretty!
4 – FALL LIGHTS

I decided to try adding some lights inside and tried both my pumpkin lights and my favorite string lights I use during the holidays.
Tall Glass Pumpkin, Round Glass Pumpkin,
So beautiful! Especially at night!

Love the string lights inside them too. Perfect for when it starts getting darker earlier. Nothing like cozy holiday lights!
5 – 27 YEARS

Kenny and I are celebrating 27 years of marriage this weekend! He took me to a nice dinner and they printed this on our menu.. so sweet! I saved it for a keepsake. :)

We at outside and it was such a beautiful night.

This pic was from a couple of months ago. My best friend and forever dinner date. :) Feeling pretty lucky that I get to do life with him. Now that our kids are getting older and moving out I’m especially grateful that we have always prioritized our marriage. It’s not easy with kids right!? Life is so busy and it takes work to stay connected. I don’t have all the answers, but what I have learned over the past 27 years (for us) is that it isn’t about the big trips or even the weekend dates but more about the little things every day. Phone calls and text messages and laughing together and a quick walk or a Costco run or a late night movie with just the two of us. Time to connect as a couple even if it’s just 15 minutes a day. It makes a difference! Something else I’ve found.. you know that advice about never going to bed mad? I think it’s horrible advice. Ha. We’ve found that if we’re feeling irritated with each other most of the time it’s just because we are so burned out and tired! If we just head to bed and talk the next morning suddenly things don’t seem so bad. Crazy what a good nights sleep can do. So there you go! Some marriage advice you didn’t ask for from someone who isn’t an expert. ;) Cheers to 27 years!
6 – MCGEE HOLIDAY ARRIVALS
Ok.. I know we JUST started talking fall and it’s way too early to talk Christmas (for some of you.. for me it’s NEVER too early) ;) but I have to share that Mcgee & Co came out with their holiday collection and ahhh! It’s so good! Her items sell fast so I rounded up some favorites below if you like to plan ahead!
Of course you know I’m obsessed with this Christmas tree and have two of them! The gold beads and bells are also long time favorites and everything else is sitting in my on-line cart. :)
That wraps up this week’s Saturday 6! Have the best weekend! I’m so excited to watch football. We’re in the middle of a heat wave but you better believe I’ll still be making taco soup and hanging my bats. ;)

I snapped this picture waiting in the carpool line. There were so many groups of kids out cheering as the cars pulled in! They unloaded our bags and took everything up to the room.. her bags made it to the room before we did! Quite a system.. we were impressed and it was a such a fun welcome to her new home away from home.
