Sharing a few pictures of our new couch today! Right after we finished building our home 11 years ago we purchased the Pottery Barn Comfort Roll Arm Sectional for our family room (you can see pics of it here). We love that couch and have the same couch in our theatre room! My husband’s parents moved and needed a couch and his mom has always loved mine so we took our PB couch to them and started hunting for something new. I looked at so many couches! I wanted something really comfortable with clean lines and ended up landing on a couch from Arhaus. Above and below are pics of some of the samples I looked at.

This dark swatch on the top was our PB couch and I was looking for a lighter fabric.

I knew I wanted their Crypton fabric (spill resistant and easy to keep clean!) and really liked Nomad Snow.

Then I found Wiley Snow. Similar to Nomad with more of a linen look. It’s a grade D fabric vs Nomad Snow which is a grade B so Wiley cost a bit more. I debated the two for a while and ended up going with Wiley. Both are beautiful options!

Weeks later she arrived! I ended up choosing the Arhaus Kipton Wide Arm Sectional and I’m pretty smitten. :) I snapped these pics with my phone so the lighting isn’t great. I’ll share better pics when I get some fall decor going in this space! My house doesn’t stay this clean for long in the summer with everyone home so I wasn’t about to waste time pulling out the tripod. Ha.

It’s so comfortable! We all love crashing on it every night to watch movies. My previous couch had a slipcover and while it was nice to take off the covers and wash them, I was excited to have a cleaner look. We chose the deep cushions and extended one end of the couch longer to fit our space.

The Kipton couch typically has a skinny arm and to be honest originally I passed this couch up because of that and kept looking for something with a wider arm (just a personal preference!). Then I saw on-line that there was an option to get it with a wide arm and I was sold.

One of the main reasons we wanted a different couch was for TV viewing space in this room. Our last couch only had enough room for two people to comfortably sit facing the TV. This couch fit the measurements I was looking for and is longer. Now we can comfortably fit three people facing the TV. Mission accomplished!

I wanted to share details in case any of you are in the market for a new couch! It’s a big investment and decision isn’t it!? I spent a lot of time researching. 1 – SUMMER DAYS

Happy Saturday! Are you staying cool!? This picture pretty much sums up our life right now.. ha. Lots of pool time! I snapped these pics today when we got out of the pool.

We get in multiple times a day. It’s hard to feel motivated when it’s so hot outside! I have loved having so much time to hang out with my girls and I’m taking full advantage of having them home right now with no schedule. My house is a mess, laundry is everywhere, I’m behind on so many things.. and I am so fine with it! There will be plenty of time to catch up on everything when they are gone. I have 3 more full weeks with them so we are living it up and spending lots of time together! Pool, walks, movies, outings, packing for college, repeat.

2 – WHITE SIDE TABLE

I forgot to share these white side tables! I ordered them for the yard right before this summer party and they showed up an hour before guests arrived. Kenny put them together for me quick before he changed his clothes. I was so happy they came on time!

They came in boxes like this and were easy to assemble.

Perfect little outdoor tables! We had similar white tables out here before but they were wood and the paint was chipped off and they looked horrible. These are Polywood and their outdoor furniture holds up so well in weather. We have loved them this summer and I know they will last for years!

3 – SUMMER STEMS

I’ve shared these stems before.. another summer favorite! We eat so much fruit in the summer that I love having it out on the counter in a big bowl. This wood bowl from the N sale has been perfect to hold it all!

5 – PROTEIN SHAKE

Ok have you tried these protein shakes!? They are SO good! They basically just taste like chocolate milk! One of my friends told me about them and we have been obsessed ever since. You can get them on Amazon and sometimes Costco has them. Addison has been begging us to ship them to her when she’s in college.. ha. They come in vanilla but the chocolate are my favorite.

6 – CONSOLE ART

Happy Saturday! We’re kicking off today’s Saturday 6 with Jack O’ Lanterns! So sorry. I’m not trying to ruin summer by talking about fall too early! I’m in NO rush for summer to end. I just feel it’s imperative to let you know that these terracotta jack o’ lanterns are back in stock! Last year they sold out by early August which is why I’m giving you a head’s up so early! I took this picture last year and didn’t share it because by the time they arrived on my doorstep they were sold out. This is the medium and large size and I was waiting on the small. This year they added an XL size! TOO fun. I love the black.

I love these trees! They are so beautiful at night. You can see all 3 of my terracotta pumpkins in this pic. :) Just had to share the jack o’ lanterns and trees for those who like to plan early because they are favorites.

{COLLEGE DORM ESSENTIALS – AMAZON PRIME DAY}

Speaking of home! This stunning space was ours for a week in Deer Valley.. so gorgeous! My parent’s requested a week together with the family for their 50th wedding anniversary and when Kenny and I found this cabin on-line last summer we couldn’t book it fast enough. We had the best time staying here all together. It was large enough that we could all spread out or spend time all together in this spacious family room.

The best part was the view. Absolutely stunning! I love Deer Valley in the summer.

We all arrived 30 minutes before my parents and had just enough time to hang a quick banner my sister ordered and set out the cake before they came! My parents are the cutest and I love that we got a chance to celebrate their love for each other. They have always set such a good example of what love and marriage should look like. Couple goals! Making it to 50 years is pretty special.

We snapped this right after we hung the banner. Love that we got the duct tape in the pic too.. ha. Always so happy when I’m with my siblings!

The cabin had a large basement that was a perfect hang out spot for all the kids.

They were in heaven with their own spot and even had a theatre room. They never wanted to leave!

My little brother. He is the one who brings the party to the party. Especially when you get him and my husband together. Those two are trouble! I’ve always felt like Kenny married me just to hang out with him. Ha.

As soon as we decided on Deer Valley for this week I made a reservation for adults to eat at Grappa. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Park City and maybe my favorite restaraut EVER. It’s Italian and SO good! Definitely trust me and try it if you haven’t already and are visiting this area!

Definitely request to sit outside if you’re visiting in the summer or when the weather is nice. There are various levels of tables and it feels like you’re dining in a tree house with gorgeous mountain views!

We snapped this after dinner and had all been crying! Kenny made a toast to my parents and said a few things at dinner and it was so touching and made us all bawl! Totally unplanned and unexpected. After he spoke my sister’s husband said a few things and then my cute sister in-law did.. there wasn’t a dry eye at the table. The in-laws stole the show! :) They don’t feel like in-laws.. they are my parent’s kids as much as we are and I will always remember and treasure what was said. I know my parents will too. I’m so grateful to my parents for loving us all like they do.

We strolled around after dinner and got chocolate to take home for dessert.

The best night.

The rest of the week we just relaxed and spent time together! Lots of hikes and games and movies and restaurants and hot tub time.

My sister had some cute 50th anniversary games planned and Pictionary was such a hit! It was all themed with things about grandma and grandpa and the kids had to guess pretty close to the right phrase. Things like “planting peas in grandpa’s garden” or “grandma’s Amazon boxes”.. ha. There were so many funny personal jokes and we were all cracking up. We also played a cute game where the kids had to answer questions about my parents.. “where did grandma and grandpa meet?” “How many houses have they lived in?” “Where did they go on their honeymoon?” etc. I loved it because it was such a fun way for the kids to learn more about their grandparents and hear funny stories about them. The last question was “what do grandma and grandpa like to do together?”

My cute dad answered “everything.” :)

We had such picture perfect weather while we were there that now we all want to move to Deer Valley! I have to keep reminding myself what it’s like 8 months out of the year. Kenny thinks we could handle the snow. I think definitely NOT. Ha.

But I would live there every summer if I could! And into the fall..

Love that these kids are so close. They all had the best time together. Their favorite vacations are always trips that involve the cousins!

My cute niece loves to do whatever the big kids are doing but sometimes runs out of steam. Uncle Kenny to the rescue. :)

Such a special week celebrating my mom and dad! I’m so grateful for the time we all had together. There is nothing better than time spent with family/people you love.

Except maybe eating at Grappa.

Happy Sunday! I hope you had a great 4th and your week is off to a good start! We spent last week in Deer Valley celebrating my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary and had such a fun week. Headed home on July 3rd and we had friends over on the 4th to celebrate. We have been on the go non-stop since my kids got out of school and it feels so good to be home! I’m really looking forward to this week! I have so much to share and catch up on! As soon as I tackle ALL the laundry. Ha.
