This signature cooling pillow is also so good! Just enough firmness but also soft to sink into. I’ve been sleeping on this one lately and love it.

This pillow is another great option that comes in both soft and firm. It has a cooling feature too and doesn’t flatten!

Happy Sunday! I hope you had a great 4th and your week is off to a good start! We spent last week in Deer Valley celebrating my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary and had such a fun week. Headed home on July 3rd and we had friends over on the 4th to celebrate. We have been on the go non-stop since my kids got out of school and it feels so good to be home! I’m really looking forward to this week! I have so much to share and catch up on! As soon as I tackle ALL the laundry. Ha.

It was a great day with friends enjoying food and the pool! We spent Saturday unpacking and getting groceries and just catching up on so many things. Good-bye June and hello July! Summer always goes by too quickly. I’m so happy we have one more month to enjoy some sun at home before things get busy with a new school year!

I hope your week is off to a good start! Sharing a few pics from the weekend party we hosted along with some recent Walmart deals I scored on major sale. (Love their summer Rollbacks!)

Our backyard was in need of a major clean up so as soon as we got back from our Europe trip I moved all of the furniture out into the yard and got to work!

I should say “we” got to work since I put Kole on cushion washing duty while I swept. :) (Details on how we clean our outdoor cushions here.) 

The next day everything was dry and so clean! I sprayed off and scrubbed our umbrellas and pool lounge chairs too (they are always dusty with cobwebs when we haven’t used them in a while). A lot of work but it always feels so good to have the yard clean and ready for summer!

The party we hosted for my husband’s firm is one we will host for the next few years and I knew we would need more seating so I have been watching Walmart’s website to see what matching furniture I could add. (You know how much I love this Better Homes and Gardens line!) I saw these Wicker chairs a while ago and love them so when I checked again and they were on sale I ordered two so quickly! This furniture line always sells out. Kenny put the chairs together for me (easy set up) and we are thrilled with them. They are so comfortable and I love the look! I’ll add a pillow on each at some point!

I also ordered two of these beautiful white planter pots. I wanted to order these last year and they sold out before I got the chance. Love the fluted design and they look a lot more expensive than they are! I was so happy to see them back in stock again.

I picked up these hydrangeas to set inside and love this look so much. So beautiful right!? Fingers crossed I can keep them alive!

I took advantage of Walmart’s deals and also ordered a mattress topper to try. We slept on it last night and I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud! How have we never used one before!? Highly recommend!

I ordered this soft bathroom rug for my girls’ bathroom. Such a good deal and it comes in 3 sizes and other colors! This is the largest size. I also ordered some XL bath towels (we like this brand)..

and another pack of 6 hand towels. I love these hand towels for bathrooms and they are such a good deal right now. They also come in a variety of colors. I’ve been slowly switching most of our bath/hand towels over to white because I love the look and it makes laundry easier.

So are the narrow storage bins I use to hold things like yogurt, protein shakes, miscellaneous items, etc. They are great in offices and closets too! So many ways to use these bins and I love that they stack on top of each other.

Happy Father’s Day! I hope it’s a good day for the dads in your life! Feeling especially grateful for the father of my kids today. We are so lucky to have him! He is simply irreplaceable and having him all to ourselves during this trip has been such a gift. He keeps us on task and laughing and I can’t think of a better combo. :)

Hello from Holland! Loved hearing from so many of you after my last post! If you emailed I will respond soon! We are still traveling but I’m going to share some trip updates for those of you who want to see what we’ve been up to! If you aren’t one of those people I’ll be back to decorating and organizing and sharing favorites soon. Loving this time away with family but I’m also missing my routine! Especially organizing. I’m such a nester at heart. :) Below are pics from the two days we spent in Amsterdam before our bike trip started. Such a fun city!

We stayed at the Hotel Estherea and really enjoyed our time there.

Beautiful hotel and so fancy! I loved all of the different patterns and wallpaper.

The rooms were absolutely charming.

So were the window views!

The city is beautiful with a bit of a Venice, Italy vibe because of so many historic canals. Bikers are EVERYWHERE. I almost lost my life 6 times. They aren’t messing around! Kole was so worried about me. I get distracted easily by pretty things and would start wandering into the road looking architecture or flowers or trying to take a picture and Kole was watching me so close trying to steer me out of trouble while shaking his head in disbelief.. ha ha.

Can you blame me for being easily distracted!?

The highlight of our time in Amsterdam was seeing the Anne Frank house in person. If you ever get the chance to book a tour and see it I would totally recommend it! You have to buy the tickets early in advance and they sell out so quickly (they sell them at a certain day/time once a week and you can only book a certain amount of weeks out). Funny story.. one night months ago I was up late working on a blog post and went to use the bathroom and when I walked out of the door I bumped into Kenny. It was after 2 am and I jumped a foot! He scared me because he had gone to bed hours before me. He said “sorry I scared you.. I set my alarm to get up and do a test run. The Anne Frank tickets go on sale for our time slot next week and I wanted to get on-line a week early to see how quickly they sell out.” I had to laugh! There are planners in this world and then there is my husband. He takes planning to the next level! We all tease him but he’s the best person to have around if you want to get something done. I answered “why in the world are they selling the tickets in the middle of the night!?” He said “I’m going to let you think about that one for a minute” but I realized why as soon as I said it..ha.

He’s here to plan the trips.. I’m here for a bit of airhead comic relief. ;)

They wouldn’t let us take pictures once we were past the first room and really inside the house so I can’t show you much from the tour but it was surreal seeing where they hid and the actual bookcase/door. We were all emotional going through the house and picturing how that must have felt for their family. An experience we will never forget!
