Carry on Suitcase, Travel Blow Dryer
Happy August! I hope your month is off to a good start! Summer is winding down and we just got back from a quick trip to Texas to start moving Ad.. again! (My little travel blow dryer goes with me everywhere and is still on sale!)
She’s moving into the cutest house with sorority friends but it’s completely empty! We have her home for two more weeks but went to get a jump start on her room and to measure for furniture placement in the living room so the girls can work on that. Nothing is finished but we are off to a good start!
We didn’t know how much space she would have in her bedroom so we picked out a bed and nightstand and had them shipped the same time we were there. We rented a truck and picked things up and then moved everything out of storage that she was using last year and hauled it all to the new place. Texas is toasty right now so we definitely got a good workout in moving her stuff in the heat.. ha.
Ad and I picked out some cute furniture from Wayfair and love the bed! It has two drawers at the end for storage and a plug for charging things on the top of the headboard. Perfect for college life!
We ordered the mattress from Wayfair too! It came in a sealed bag and is a definite upgrade from the bed in her apartment last year so she’s excited.

Ad snapped this pic.. she wanted her room decorated the same as last year so we hung the same beach prints back up above her bed.

I bought her a new white comforter and sheets and then we used the same quilt and shams from last year. It’s actually the same bedding she has at home! She loves it. I have this Amazon comforter on El’s bed too. It’s so comfortable. We snapped these pics so quick setting up so nothing is really styled! I’ll get better pics in a couple months when we visit again and finish everything.
We found this cute floor mirror and got it hung next to her pin board full of pictures. We’re going to develop some new pics for that too.

The bathroom is darling and so nice that they don’t have to share and all have their own space! The closet doesn’t have a lot of room but we are making the best of the space she has. I’ll get pics of it when we go back too.
Love the shower doors too! I was all set with a shower curtain and liner but we don’t need that! New bath towels for a new year. I love a new school year! It just feels like a fresh start doesn’t it!?
We had a couple of hours while Kenny was putting the furniture together and we couldn’t do much in her room until he was done so we made another Target run and then swung by Magnolia. I couldn’t resist! Definitely taking advantage of having a daughter in Waco and going as much as possible during these 4 years. :)
We had such a fun little outing visiting all of the shops again and touring this beautiful restored church!

I did bring a few other things home with me! We had empty suitcases going back because we took a lot of Ad’s clothes so of course I HAD to fill them. And what better to fill them with than items from the new fall line!? SO many cute things. I linked everything I bought! (The floor lamp I ordered a while back.) Ad snapped this pic and laughed.. mom is in her happy place.
The fall displays were so pretty! I love this garland too and ordered it.
This marble bowl is also stunning. It was too heavy to take home but is on my wish list. :)
I loved visiting in the summer. Magnolia looks different every season and now I just need to see it in December to see them all!

This trip we picked up some Magnolia candles and OH MY WORD we have been missing out! These two scents (Daybreak and Gathered) are SO GOOD! Trust me on this and read the reviews! Daybreak is such a good every day smell and perfect for spring/summer. I bought one for Ad to put in her new kitchen or bathroom. I bought Gathered to bring home. It’s fall perfection and I can’t wait for my house to smell like it! Something to look forward to when the kids all go back to school.
Ad is moved in enough to get started and we will order a few more things to ship and finish during our next visit and I’ll get better pics. Crazy how quickly this time of year rolls around again isn’t it!? I hope you’re enjoying the rest of your summer! Lots of good things to come. :)
