HELLO December! Really feeling it this week! The good and the bad. And by bad I just mean busy. :) I hope you’re all surviving and finding time to enjoy the month! I’m sharing random pics on my phone of a few things going on around here along with some fun gift ideas! I’ve been living in the tops above and they are all on sale. Going fast just like December. I really wish this month was twice as long!

Birch Trees / Christmas Houses / Velvet Ribbon / Brass Candle Holders / LED Candles / Faux Cedar Garland / Fake Snow / Star Lights (similar) / Another Option / Another Option
Quick blurry snapshot of my kitchen window this year! I need to get some better pics when I have time. The lights are so magical! My beloved birch trees, houses and candles are making this space so cozy and my new star lights steal the show! I can’t capture how stunning they are in person. I ordered them from Anthro and they sold out, but I found some good similar options that ship fast if you want a similar look in time for Christmas! I’m actually ordering one of them for next year. Already have some ideas.. ha!

Revision Sunscreen / CR Illuminating Tinted Eye Cream
I’ve been trying to walk in the mornings this month.. it has been hit and miss with so much going on, but I’m trying to meet friends as much as possible so that I’ll get up and go. I snapped this before I left this morning.. these two items are what I put on to walk and before make-up every day. Tried and true long time favorites! The tinted sunscreen gives my skin an even glow and the eye cream instantly mends my circles and lines. (You can still get 20% off the eye cream and anything online at CR Rothschild using code ERIN20 at checkout!) I’ve heard from so many of you in IG stories that you love the tinted eye cream too! It really is like magic!

Sharing a few quick favorites if you need some gift ideas! I love this set of mixing bowls (great quality and I love the non slip bottoms!). I’ve sent them to a few people for gifts this year. Something everyone can use. Even a non chef like me. :)

Blanket (similar), Cell Phone Stand/Speaker
You can never go wrong with a cozy blanket! Yes we all have them, but probably the most used items (at least at our house!) this time of year. Bring on the holiday movies! I also love this phone stand/speaker. I use it a lot when I’m cleaning or working in the kitchen. A good teen/young adult gift idea too!

Makeup Brush Cleaner Mat, Makeup Brush Cleaner, Lip Serum
I took my makeup brush cleaner mat and solution to one of my friend’s Favorite Things parties! I love that you can easily clean your brushes and then hang them from the bottom of the mat to dry (see the pic on-line!). This lip serum always goes in my girls’ stockings!

Eyeglasses Case, Liquid Hand Soap / Soap Dispenser / Cleaning Spray / Tile by Life 360, Jewelry Case, Leave-In Conditioner, Dermaplaning Wands, Under Eye Patches, Hair Finishing Stick, Screen Cleaner
This is so random but love all these items! The soap dispenser with holiday soap in it is a cute last minute teacher/neighbor gift idea! Just fill it with soap and add a bow. I love this glasses case because you can fit two pairs of glasses in it (regular glasses and sunglasses or a pair of readers if you’re old like we are..ha). The screen cleaner is a favorite and such a practical gift but who doesn’t need it!? I reach for it daily. Just some fun ideas!

Ok.. is this mantel not drop dead gorgeous!? Snapped this at a friend’s holiday cookie party and just couldn’t love it more! Inspo for next year!

ALL the cookies.

I took my grandma’s Applesauce cookies. I shared the recipe YEARS ago.. does anyone remember!? :)

You can find the recipe HERE along with some very old pics. My kids were so little!

Snapped this with Katy.. love her. And this cute sweater!

Always so fun catching up with friends!

We all took home one of each in these cute little boxes.

The snacks were so good and I especially could NOT stop eating the dip above. I had to get the recipe from Katy so I could attempt to make it for my crew! Isn’t it a pretty platter with all the veggies/crackers!? Sharing it below because I know you will love it too. Such a fun spread to have out for family over the holidays! She made the directions very detail oriented because she knows I need that.. there’s no “just add a pinch of this and whatever you want of that” when I’m making something or it blows up in my face.. ha. Thank you Katy! :)

Ingredients
• 1 ten ounces hummus homemade or store bought
• 1/2 cup diced red pepper and or yellow pepper.
• 1/2 cup baby tomatoes, cut in half
• 1/2 cup Persian cucumbers, chopped
• 1/4 cup Kalamata olives, chopped ( more if you like the saltiness of the olives)
• 1/4 – 1/2 of a red onion, diced small
• 4 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
• drizzle extra virgin olive oil
• 1-2 tablespoons fresh herbs (basil, mint, dill)!chopped
Instructions
• Chop all of your veggies, herbs and set them aside.
• Spread the hummus in a smooth layer in the bottom of 12-inch round platter or serving dish (you can also use a pie dish or similar serving dish). Leaving space along the edge for pita and veggies to eat with the dip.
Sprinkle the feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, kalamata olives and red onion over the top. Drizzle olive oil over the top and finish with fresh pepper.
Cut veggies like sweet mini red, yellow peppers and cucumber’s so they can be used to scoop up the dip, 1 to 2 inches in length. Slice your cucumbers at an angle to get the most surface area. Line the dip with the cut veggies and add pita bread or pita chips. Can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. Or chop all your veggies and feta, store in separate storage containers and assemble right before serving.

We had our annual stocking exchange yesterday! Such a beautiful day. You really can’t beat December in San Diego. A few pics from the day..

The green couch and wall! Be still my heart. I love this place. (Lilian’s in Ranch Santa Fe for anyone local or visiting!)

I love these friends too! A couple of years ago we were laughing about the Saturday Night Live skit about moms always getting “the robe” meaning the short end of the stick for the holidays when they do everything for everyone else. We were telling our own funny stories of getting empty stockings every year. Two of my friends decided to host a stocking exchange so that we all have a beautiful stocking to open Christmas morning! It has become such a fun December tradition. Let me know if you have more questions about how we do it!

I love the bathroom too! Seriously such a beautiful venue.

Dinner out with friends. I have been living in this cute sweater!

Also love this velvet top I wore to another friend’s Favorite Things party! It has been the best spending so much time with people I love this month.

(tree board /other tree board options available)
Lots of movie nights with friends too! Cake and carrots because.. balance. :)

This was supposed to be a Christmas movie. You win some and you lose some.. ha.
Tis the season!! Will be back soon with more decor. :)
