Hello hello! I hope you are enjoying your summer! We spent last week in Maui with our kids and had a great week other than the fact that my laptop monitor broke on the trip! Which is why you didn’t see a Saturday and Sunday post. I’ll be playing catch up now that I’m home and my computer is hooked up to Kenny’s office monitor until we can get it fixed. Always something fun going on right!? :) I’m sharing some pics from our trip and a few things we did along with what I wore!
We dropped Peaches (Ad’s lizard) off at a friend’s house for the week.. I know she was thrilled. ;)
Early morning at the airport! I always take Kole’s Minecraft stuffed animal for a back pillow. Kole used to always take it on trips when he was little so I got used to using it and now I don’t like to travel without it. I wish I could link it for you.. best back pillow out there. Ha.
My favorite little pouch for airplane essentials.
Always love seeing this airport sign. :)
We always make a Costco run for a few things (it’s by the airport) so we usually get in late! This is the Westin in Kaanapali (we have a timeshare here and always stay in the villas). I would definitely recommend it! We have been staying in these villas for family trips for for close to 20 years and they never disappoint!
As soon as I get to the room I always immediately unpack! I hang as much as I can and keep the rest in my suitcase on trips. Especially when we are staying for a week.. I liked to feel moved in and like I’m staying put for a while. :) You too or do you live out of your suitcase? Kenny has never unpacked a thing except when he wears it.
Balcony views.
Kole and Ellie we in the ocean first thing on day one.. early morning is always the best snorkeling.
Bikini Top, Bikini Bottom, Necklace, Sunglasses, Bracelet
Pic from a few months ago but this is what I wore.. again! I brought 3 suits all similar to this with different colors of the same bikini bottoms. They are flattering and such a good fit.
We went on a few beautiful hikes! This is the Kapalua Coastal Trail and it’s so gorgeous.
Hmm.. those bathroom mirrors look familiar.
:) Miss seeing these stuffed animals all over the floor. There is currently a drum set taking up half of this space.
Feels so good to have my kids all home and to be together again!
Close up of this cute necklace I bought Ad for her birthday. Under $20 and so cute!
We spent one day on a boat and had the best time!
I borrowed a wet suit on the boat. Always cold! I usually get SO sick on boats but I took my Dramamine and wore wrist bracelets that help with nausea and I was fine this time! I was so happy and leaning over the side of the boat singing the songs from Moana (and the call isn’t out there at all it’s inside me). Ad was like “wow mom.. you’re really in your feels right now..” ha ha.. I was just in the BEST mood and so happy that I wasn’t sick! It’s the little things.
We went to a few spots for snorkeling and then enjoyed some time on the slide. So fun.
Cute little guy. Seeing the turtles is always my favorite. :)
That water!
We were tired after a day on the boat so just grilled hotdogs and hamburgers for dinner that night.
The next night we went to a favorite restaurant! Ad and I were excited to dress up. I love the fit of this white dress so much! El would never wear a dress if she didn’t have to. Ha. That’s what I love about Maui.. anything goes!
I always have more pics with Ad because El loves taking pictures but hates being in them! She’s always with us off to the side. ;) Addison started drinking Coke Zero this summer and Kenny and El have been teasing us. Apparently the circle is now complete and the two of us are identical in every way to our core.
Not the best lighting but this is Hula Grill and it’s our family favorite! We have a lot of restaurants we love in Maui but this is our #1. We’re facing a view of the ocean. So beautiful and great food!
After dinner the 3 of us went night swimming again. (Thanks for humoring us with a selfie El.)
I did a night swim/hot tub session almost every night with my girls. Then we all pile in the villa living room with the boys for a movie.
Morning walk! No question why Maui is a favorite vacation spot. When the kids were young we did a lot more family planned activities and I still need to share fun ideas if you are visiting for the first time. But now that the kids are older and we don’t have as much time with them in our every day lives we love escaping to just go on walks and hikes, swim and snorkel, and then eat dinner and watch movies. Time spent together! I treasure these trips.
A few more pics from morning walks..
Night views. So beautiful!
Heading to dinner on our last night!
I couldn’t love this dress more.
Leilani’s is another favorite splurge restaurant. Kenny and I used to always come here together for our Maui date night and leave the kids in the room with pizza (with my parents when they were young and alone as they got older). Now that Kenny and I can go to dinner alone anytime and we rarely have the whole family together we take everyone to Leilani’s. Funny how that changes so quickly right!? You go from needing a break from the kids to longing to be with them. Time is a thief.
So grateful for this week and these people.
Aloha Maui! Until next time.
