Hello from LA!

Typing this quick post from my hotel room in LA!  I’m here for the Designers Blog Conference and have been having so much fun with some of my blogging besties.  I wanted to pop in to let you all know that I am working on updating my header!  I know some of you are waiting on home sources and they are coming.  Do you like the new blog design/layout?  I have to say that I’m loving it!  So I hope you are too. :)  Huge thank you to Tana at Your Marketing BFF who put it all together for me!  She is amazing and the best if you want to start or update a website.  We are missing her this week!

For all of my fashion loving friends I have to tell you that I did some early birthday shopping to find a few new things to wear for this conference and I scored big time.  SO many cute clothes and bags for Spring!  I’m excited to share them all with you and re-cap my fun trip in a post soon.  If you want an early look at the new clothes I found you can check out the “SHOP MY FAVORITES” page in my new blog header (on the far right).  I’m excited about this page!  It will always be updated with my favorite home decor and fashion finds.  Things I’ve bought that I absolutely love like this cute new gingham skirt and these fun navy Espadrille Wedge sandals I’m wearing in the picture above.  DARLING.  All of my favorite home decor items throughout my home will also be shared on this page.  It’s a fun spot to hang out. :)

K – it’s almost 2 in the morning so I need to head to bed.  We always stay up way too late chatting and then I stay up way too late blogging.  Some things never change. :)

Back soon with lots of fun things to share!

xoxo, Erin

  1. So good to “see” you, Erin! I’ve been away for the past few weeks and missed commenting. I was actually in CA helping my Dad out after a recent illness. He’s doing better, thankfully, and I am back home doing my mom thing. So fun to see what you have been up to. I think your new blog design looks great and new skirt and shoes look bright and fun. Take care and enjoy your time! Hugs!

    1. Jeanne! I was getting worried and wanted to reach out and make sure you were ok, but then I didn’t want you to think you always HAVE to comment.. ha! I’m so sorry to hear that your dad was sick. He is lucky to have you. So happy you are getting back in the swing of things. Take it easy sweet friend! xo

  2. Looks like fun! Glad you found some great spring things. I have to laugh everytime you mention shopping…I think you have shop more each season than I have in last 5 years. Maybe you should come to the midwest and do some shopping for me! Although, I don’t think my husband would like that idea. ;) Enjoy your conference. :)

  3. *shopped not shop.

I don’t know what happened there, but I could not leave it alone without posting a correction. lol.

  4. So wonderful to see (almost) all of my favorite peeps in one place, but bummed that I missed out! Thanks for the shout out Erin – I loved working along side you and love that we were able to capture your warm, ‘sunny side’ visually. Cheers to many more years of successful blogging. xo

  5. Love your shoes! But how does one get used to a 4 1/2 inch heel? I’m a mom to soon to be 8, and I’ve been living in flat shoes for the past 14 years. Inspired by you, I’m trying to improve my wardrobe and wear some new things including shoes with a higher heel and am having a hard time adjusting to the height and angle of the heels. Does it get more comfortable with time?

    1. Hi Kim! Thank you! You do get used to wearing higher heels! But I will say that I don’t wear my high shoes all the time.. a lot of days I run around in my Adidas sneakers. :) Also most of the shoes I wear and share on my blog are really comfortable for a heel! I always look for wedges that are wide and comfortable. You might want to try just wearing a higher wedge shoe for an hour or two every day and you’ll get used to them! xo

  6. HI Erin! I have a question about your kitchen cabinet doors and your interior doors in your house. Are they solid mdf? Or are the frame real wood and the panels mdf or are they completely solid wood? I am also wondering how well they have held up with being wiped all the time. Please reply as I have to make a decision about my cabinet door choice in the next day or so. I really love everything about your house and your style. Your blog is the first one I look at each day!
Thanks in advance for supplying me with this information.
    Brenda

    1. Hi Brenda! Our cabinets and doors are solid wood, but all of the molding in our house is mdf. They have held up great! Because of the type of paint on them they are easy to wipe off and keep clean. I hope that helps! Thanks for your sweet words about my blog! xo

  7. Oh every picture and insta story liked like you girls were having the best time. Plus, you all looked stunning in every picture!
