A valentine snack

Thank you so much for the sweet comments and well wishes about Addison everyone!  So kind of you all.  They cheered us both up today.  :)  Addison is doing great and aside from a cough, breathing treatments, and constant hovering from mom she is back to her old self again.  YEA.

Sharing a little Valentine snack I made for the kids on the first day of February.

Ordinary fruit is much more fun when you put it in a heart shaped bowl on an aqua platter.
A great way to kick off the new month!  My girls loved it.

But a certain someone wasn't all that impressed with my heart shaped bowl and my aqua platter.

 First he ignored it.

 Then he noticed it.

 Then he ignored it again.

Then he picked out all of the strawberries and ran off with a red stained face.

Quickly followed by mom with a wet paper towel.

Happy February everyone!  :)

Your kids are so lucky to have a sweet and thoughtful mom like you! That is so adorable, and certainly the type of thing that will help them remember how special holidays are. Aww! :)

Where did you get the cute heart dishes?

Thank you Stephanie and Aimee!

Sue - I got the little dishes at Michaels a few years ago. Just a few bucks each. :)

And the aqua platter?

Hi Cheryl! The platter was actually an old black platter I had (think it was from Bed Bath and Beyond?). Then I painted it aqua when I had my little aqua obsession and painted half of everything in my house. :)

Erin,

I need your advice! We are taking a family vacay to Sea World. Dates to choose from April 1-5 or June 5-10. Thoughts??

Hi Dana!

APRIL FOR SURE!!! In San Diego we have something called "June Gloom." June is my least favorite month here because it is so cloudy and grey. April should be beautiful!

(Now watch - since I've told you that you will come in April and it will rain.) ;)

What a cutie!! I am new to your blog--but I love it!! I am glad your little Addison is doing better. ONe of my little boys was in the ICU a couple of months ago--it was scarey:( Anyway, I am glad I found your darling site! xo

Glad to hear Addison is feeling better :) I can't get over how much Kole has grown! He doesn't have that baby look anymore, all big boy now. So cute !

Thank you Lauren!

Melanie - thank you so much! I'm so glad your little one is done with the ICU - you are right - it's so scary! So nice to "meet" you! :)

Reenie - thank you. I know! It kills me how big he is looking lately! Makes me a little sad.
