Recipe Round-Up

I knew this week was going to be a busy one so I did something I normally never do.  I sat down Sunday night to make a meal plan.  I may be organized when it comes to my home and time management, but you all know I have never had it together when it comes to cooking.  I wanted to just make a couple of my easy stand-by recipes so I went to my blog to look a few up.  It took me too long to find what I was looking for so I decided I’d make a post with links to all of my recipes.  Hopefully this will help me the next time I’m in the mood to whip up something in the kitchen.  I’ll put this post on my sidebar and update it every time I share a recipe.  These recipes are far from gourmet, but if it’s a favorite of mine you can count on it being kid friendly and easy to make.  So maybe this post will help one or two of you as well!  Just click on the link to see the full recipe.
BTW – tomorrow we are meeting with our builder and cabinet guy to start planning the kitchen layout!  I’m so excited about it.  I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve!  Our cabinet guy sent over a sketch of my kitchen with what he thinks would work in the space.  He has included three ovens and a warmer.
Clearly we need to get to know each other a bit better.  :)

  1. Three ovens?!?! And you don’t even like to cook. I think I might cry a bit and then beg you to send your kitchen over to me!

Exciting though to move onto the planning stage like that. Have to admit to being a little envious. And I can’t wait to live vicariously while watching your house come together :)

  2. Just because cooking isn’t your fave thing to do doesn’t mean you can’t have a kitchen that makes you look like it right? Thanks for sharing these recipes. We’re always looking for something new for lunch and dinner. Can’t wait to try them.

  3. Please tell me you are going to post the plans. We have two ovens and I cook as much as you ;-) Can’t imagine how happy I would be with three!

  4. Yum! We make a similar treat to your Halloween treat for sport’s snacks. Easy and somewhat healthy!! How fun, designing your kitchen. Three ovens? Too funny. My hubby’s reaction to be, “that’s not necessary, but a microwave…a must!” LOL

  5. Great recipes, thanks ;) You’re so funny about the builder needing to get to know you more lol.
I don’t cook a lot either, although lately I have been cooking more. I swear by crockpot meals, so easy to do! Can’t wait to see your house come together, Are you going w/ a white kitchen? I have dark wood/ I would love white bead beard cabinets.

  6. Three ovens?! Are you kidding me?! I expect a double oven, but three, that’s just ridiculous even for someone who loves to cook. What does he think you’re going to be doing?! Don’t go with it. A double oven is completely sufficient, even for a San Diego- gourmet-kitchen-house.

  7. Hi Erin. I have total kitchen envy as I absolutely love to cook! I have an island and I use it all the time. I prep everything on it, feed my kids snacks/dinner on it, my kids do their homework there. Islands rock!

I love the idea of two because sometimes when I am cooking a mess of stuff and the kids want to hang with me or do their homework there is no room because I am taking up all the space with my prepping. If I had a second island they could do their homework or hang at the other one but still be with me. I say go for 2 islands and be an innovator!

I have a cooking blog and I know all about labeling recipes. You should create a photo label for your recipes on your sidebar or just put the word recipes under your labels bar. That would be a great feature!

Best of luck with the house and kitchen. I can’t wait to see how it all develops :)
