Fashion Friday

Fashion Friday again everyone!  Can you handle it!!??  I don't know if I can.  I'm getting a little tired of seeing myself in the bathroom mirror.  Kenny has been working late so self portraits are all I've got this week.  Take it or leave it baby.

Remember this gray cardigan from The Limited?

I had requests to see it on so this is a picture taken at night after Kenny and I went out last Saturday.  Poor lighting, but a glimpse of the cardigan.  I love the way this hangs.  It's perfect for cool San Diego evenings.  (The necklace I've had for awhile and it's also from The Limited)

I also bought this cute gray purse a couple of weeks ago.  Found it in Christensen's in Utah.  It was CHEAP.  Like 20 dollars cheap.  Isn't it cute for 20 bucks!?  I figure even if I only use it a few times it will be worth it.  Plus it has pockets on the side and I LOVE purses with side pockets.  They are perfect for pacifiers.  :)

And here's one more pic so you can see the boots with it.  I know this picture is terrible but I think I took it after midnight.   Couldn't wait to take the outfit off and put the pajamas on!

This week has been so humid here.  I wore lots of summer tops...
(this purple one is also from The Limited)

and had my hair pulled up most of the time.  You can tell the forecast by my hair.  If it's pulled up, it's humid.  My hair and humidity don't really care for one another.  They've tried to be friends, but it just never works out.  Sad, really.  Life would be so much better if they were besties.

And remember this combo?  Wore it this week.
Here it is two different ways.  On the left with my Citizens and wedges.  On the right with my skinny Sevens and my boots from Italy.  My Italy boots are a bit outdated (I've had them for over three years now) but I don't care.  I will wear them until I die.  Or at least until we go to Italy again and I can replace them with something I like better.

A seven dollar belt from Forever 21.  I love this one and wear it A LOT.

And with the beloved Anthro belt.  Which do you like better with this shirt?

This is one of my favorite cardigans and I can't for the life of me remember where I bought it!  It's hard to tell but the tank under it has ruffles around the neck.  I like it because it's easy to wear casually with jeans and boots, or I can pair it with a skirt and heels and dress it up.

These are the boots I usually wear with it.  Nordstroms - two years ago.

Here is a fun black top I just bought (Urban Wear in So. Utah - love that store!).  I lightened it on the left so you can see the ruffles at the neck and the way it's fitted at the bottom.  Very flattering style for anyone!  It instantly makes your waist look small.

I love a simple black top because you can do so many things to accessorize and mix it up.  Flower headbands are a favorite of mine.  I can stick with black (Anthropologie).
Or add a pop of color.  (Green is also from Anthro and the grey headband is from the Gap.)

If I'm running around with the kids, I'll wear my black ballet flats (Dillards).

If I'm going out I'll wear what I call my Gwen Stefani shoes (Nordstroms).  I'm not the only one who adores these shoes.

I also love wearing these fun earings from Banana Republic with black.

Or the necklace Addison made me this summer.

It takes the cake, don't you think?

So are we thinking Fashion Friday should be a weekly thing?  I'd love to hear if you're loving it or if you're over it!  Maybe twice a month???  I'll leave it up to you.  Until then, go forth and be fashionable!

And have a great weekend while you're at it.

ALL so so cute!! Love the headbands the most! I wish I could pull it off. But right now, 3 months post partum, I have a receding hairline... YES, sad but true.
Keep doing Fashion Friday - for sure!

I'm loving Fashion Friday! You have great style and I'm looking for ideas for more than just jeans and basic shirts. I also love the fact that you're a redhead with freckles like me! It makes me feel like I'm looking at myself so I can imagine what something would look like on me. Only thing is you have WAY better hair humid outside or not :)

Erin - You are so cute and you give me hope to one day be free of the extra baby weight. I really like the black shirt with the ruffles around the neck, I liked it even more when you said it would flatter any body. Have a great weekend, can't wait to see what you have to post next week!

Ok, so I can see that all of your fans are loving Fashion Friday, and I do too. And I don't doubt that with the way you buy clothes you could do something different every week of the year. And I know that you're dealing with all the pressures of being a celebrity now, BUT just remember us friends who know and love you... as much as I love seeing pics of you all dolled up, I love seeing pics of what you and the kids are doing even more! I need my laughs from Ellie and Addie. :)

OK, so what is your hair fastened up with? I love it! I'm tired of messy buns and gigantic jaw clips.

I like your Fashion Fridays! But it's your blog, do what you wanna do. ;) All your posts are inspiring and fun.

I LOVE FASHION FRIDAY!!! Definitely keep it up. You give me some great ideas and inspiration. I was never really a "belt person," but I like the looks you put together and I think I may buy one and try it. I do have a question for ya, though -- how the heck do you wear all of those heels? Don't your feet hurt? The only place I wear heels is to the movies where I don't have to worry about walking far!

Have a great weekend!

I am pretty sure I own the ear rings that match that Limited necklace. Also, I figured it out...I am much too short wasted (waisted but funny a bit wasted as well) to pull off the belt thing. You look darling, of course.

Hey Erin,
Its been forever since I have commented on your blog. I still check it every few days and I LOVE every post! It never matters what you post, I just love seeing what you're up to.
I do have to say how much you are inspiring me with the belts and boots. I can't believe what a difference those 2 accessories make. They totally change the outfit. I am determined to get some boots this fall. Besides, I need to be a cute pregnant mama!
Love ya Erin

I am so inspired by your fashion friday posts- thanks, Erin! It's good to be reminded that being a mama doesn't mean you have to look frumpy. :) Love your blog!

Only the girl who is visiting St. Geezy will find an adorable $20 bag at Christensens!!! Sheesh! :D
I totally dig your Anthro belt, and I always dig your style...but my personal inspiration from this post were those cute ballet flats with the jeans. I have a pair that I wear to church all the time, but I didn't think how cute they are with just jeans. Gracias, seniorita fashionista!
