Sister love

These two girls of mine have been best friends from the start.

Sometimes they fight, but they are always quick to make up and carry on like nothing happened at all.

They do everything together.

And watch out for each other.

And are extremely affectionate with each other.

When they first started having individual playdates with friends I would always remind them "make sure you play with your sister too." That was never a problem. Now I remind them to make sure to include the friend.

They love to dance together.

And they really listen to each other.

And one of them is always laughing at what the other one has to say.

They especially love to act silly together.

A lot of silliness goes on between these two every day.

Sometimes they get laughing so hard over what seems to be absolutely nothing. They have their own little language and this reminds me for all the world of me and my sister.

The other day they were coloring and Ellie said out of the blue "Ad! That coloring is so good it looks like Kindergarten work!" You should have seen Addison's little face light up. She got off of her chair and walked over to Ellie and wrapped her arms around her. Ellie kept coloring with one hand and held her other arm around Addison. They stayed like that for a few minutes and I watched them from the kitchen with a great big lump in my throat.

These two are sisters. And the love they share is like nothing else.

That is my favorite post you've ever done! For a quick second I considered baby #3. I have one of each and desperately wanted sisters or brothers. :D Very beautiful!!

Ahhh, that was the sweetest thing ever! I wasn't fortunate enough to have my parents bless me with a little sister. Instead, I got two annoying little brothers. ;-) Sometimes I wish I had that bond, but I think because I don't have a sister it makes my mother and I that much closer. Lucky for me my sisters-in-law aren't so bad either.

I'm an only child. As such, I'd say, go for more babies, ya'll! Siblings rock!!! (Not that you asked ;)
I'm awaiting our latest edition soon (#7). Erin, this is a truly beautiful post and a tribute to you as a great mother who has fostered this sister love. Thank you.

What a darling post! I can appreciate all the time it took to compile these pictures together, I'll bet the girls love it!

My girls are a little too far apart in age to have that great of a bond, Lily wants to do her own thing a lot of the time and Amelia always feels like the third wheel. This post is the best arguement for having your children close in age.

That was a precious post. Love all the pics--you have some great ones. I forgot to mention last time that I like the new do. It always looks good though. ;) I am excited for my girls as well, I was the oldest of 3 girls almost the same distance apart as my 3 now. Sisters are the Best!

So, so sweet! The sister bond is an awesome thing. I have one sister (my only sibling) and I treasure her.

I have 5 daughters and 4 sons. I, too, will get a lump in my throat from time to time as I witness the bonds that they are forming as they grow up together :)

Now THIS is the kind of blog post I can relate to. How DARLING is that? I was blessed with a little sister that I love and look up to. She and I have always been so close. Then I have 4 daughters who are ALSO VERY CLOSE, and they have always been such sweet sisters to each other. Your little girls are so darling and you can just tell they are BEST friends. Love it. Love you!

Too bad we don't have a freezing chamber like Hans Solo for your girls--you'll understand my Jedi lingo much more when Mister Man is older. May the sister force be with you.

Love it! I have two boys that are 19 months apart, 23 months and 4 months. I can already see a bond and they don't even talk yet. I love your photos and it just reminds me to take a lot of pictures of even the routine events. It also makes me want to reach out to my sister even more. Thank you!

Side note... What kind of camera do you use?
